Ok I tried something else with the use of 3danalyzer and its not as laggy as the setup Andymann made, but its still laggy, in the performance, check in counters and disable lighting, in the hardware limits check in emulate HW TnL caps, in the pixel and vertex shader, check skip pixel shader version 1.1 and force low precision pixel shader, in the vendor id type in 4318 and in device id type in 592, and in remove shuttering check performance mode, when I tried to play the game with this setup the introducing screen wherein kobe and garnett where introduced, the sound is not jumping unlike when I tried Andymanns setup, this is all I could I wish this could work because buying a new video card is expensive!!! :D :D :D

yoyz, It has something to do with the extract path, delete the folder with 3da and make a new folder and put it in there.

Have you guys contacted Boris yet? The guy might be able to hook 3.0 shaders into 2.0 ones and you wouldn't need 3d analyzer.

Sorry man but I stopped trying yesterday, I bought a new video card because I believe that even though we use 3danalyzer, even if we do open 2k9, we still wont be able to play the game, we could just see the menu, when I tried the settings I gave to you all, I was able to see the loading screen of the blacktop, that's all I can do, sorry man

That's a good move Zabros. In fact, everyone in this thread that's been trying to get this to work, should just try and get a better graphics card. because even if you did get it to marginally work, it would be just a quick fix - not a solution.

Getting a better card allows you the opportunity to invest in tomorrows technology. I know some people are saying 'But I dont have enough money' or 'it's too expensive' - but PC gaming is an expensive hobby. Anyone that ever said it wasn't, should be punched in the face.

And by investing in the technology now, you're also investing in keeping our beloved industry viable and competitive in the gaming world.

Post of the year. :applaud:  (y)

I'm going to quote you in every thread when someone posts on how they can't play the game when it's obvious their rig is not sufficient to play the game.

That video card only has a pixel shader 2.0, and this 3danalyzer thing won't work, It will however let you see the main menu, and once you play it, boom, it goes back to being a black screen again, 3danalyzer wont work for 2k9!!!!!!

Well, will it work or not? This thread says that a solution is released but everybody´s complaining that the exe does not work.

Is there a way to get the game to work or not?

My PC:

PIV 3.2ghz
1 Gb ram
WinXP SP3
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128 MB

Damn straight. Not to be elitist man but we live in 2008. If you can't afford $70 for a video card that'll play the game well, we got problems. Get a job or do chores for your parents or something for an allowance. How in the world are you people even on the 'net if you can't afford the hardware? If you can afford a computer, you can afford a new video card. I mean, I can build a brand new mid-high end system for $350 without monitor. That's for a full PC, not some crap console.
