Sorry if i did not post any replies lately but to be honest the main reason for me to leave 08 is that i think it is about time for me to be gone for a while since there was a speculation that 2k9 will be rleased in pc and nigu is there to help me in my burden in fixing and dealing with the aiact of 08 and its been a long since i am fixing this damn "bugs" that ea brought to us and i am now tired so i need some time on my own and maybe ill be back when im ready to make some fixes again..

Yes it is and that's certainly the intention, though it remains to be seen what we can take from that version.

george7, sorry for my previous replies.. but now i think you should (or we rather) should start NBA LIVE 09 HQ... coz i've just confirmed a few minutes ago that kris is really not going to join the project anymore.. so i think you should now be the one to initialize or to lead this project...
my jerseys, front ends and loading screens are free to be included here...
one more thing.. NBA 2k9 will be released in PC.. i bet most of the patchers and spectators here will move for 2k9... unless it will be patchable as much as LIVE series are... so due to the release of 2k9.. we should now start this project and try to complete it as soon as possible...

Pdub is ryt, but though nobody will start patching 2k9 unless created programs allow modding, most of us here will stop patching here or the hype for updating 08 is not that much anymore unlike few weeks or months ago because most of us will buy 2k9, dont we? and when we do, we wont bother to bump up the gameplay, grafix etc of this crap that EA has brought to us anymore..
anyway.. all we can do is to continue this since no one else will because Kris has quit from 08... and to make this 08 a better game to 09 for all of us here..

i agree to use albys'... and for the tatoos and cfs.. i think we should stick to 1x and courts should not have a file or content lager than 512mb... in this way we wont have any problem regarding the crashes and we could use 2x jerseys.. gameplay fix of kris most probably should be included.. and regarding tatoos 1x looks more realistic because in real life we dont see the tatoos that sharp or clear.. ryt?
my suggested lighting is that of from MTBL (from chinese ones i think) or ASEMS lighting version 2 (latest release)...

i'm so happy, there's still guys like y'all who remains to patch live 08 cuz, though 2k9 is out for pc, we shouldn't forget live 08..
not to mean offensive but, some of patchers don't want to patch live 08 anymore because of 2k9 .that makes me sick!!

guys.. sorry for the delay of the update... i'm still busy for this whole week.. i can only start patchin again next week...
but as for my contribution in mod... the all 30 team jerseys, Front Ends and loading screens, i'll still release it and i'll do my best for those files or patch rather to be included in this mod...
bad news is.. i've lost the main menus.. but still able to redo those for i will also change or improve the player pictures...
so please bear with me or with us.. we'll still make this better! though there are only a handful of patchers remaining here...

Same here, I wanted to declare that I will continue to patch Live 08. Dont get me wrong though, I will be buying 2k9 once it's released for sure, but Live is my soul and heart, I've been with it for one too many years to depart from it. Thus I will keep patching Live 08 until no more person browse this forum.

By the way, just wanted to announce my small discovery. I found some "never-seen-before" animations and I will be using it my next release of EA. A preview should be posted in my thread sooner or later, I will also make a mirror of the preview here in this thread to enhance the level of convenience.

From reading several posts above you, it is solid obvious that we will continue this project at full speed. I suggest you read a little bit before you type. Besides, there will be a lot of people who will continue to play Live whether 2k9 will "sucked" it or not. That being said, Andrew has already mentioned a lot of time that this will remain a NBA Live Series site therefore Live is the first priority here, not 2k9.

If you prefer 2k9 over Live, I'm certain that no one will and can blame you if you switch to 2k series permanently. Although some of us might miss your harsh and rather annoying posts, we definitely wont hold you back with Live if you dont want to. My point is, does it really matter if Live get "sucked" by 2k9? A vast majority of people will still play it. That being said, keeping the matter to yourself wont hurt. Or to be precise, you dont have to say what you just did; that "Live will be sucked by 2k9". Just unnecessary.

yea i got the game 4 ps2 today. new sig-shots were added. my favorite is kobe bryant's
