Indulge me.

Randomly thought about this while playing Audiosurf and thus it is happening. We shall now reboot with the idea of doing songs instead of albums. Rules, guidelines and so on will be forthcoming if support exists.

almost a mashup but not quite. This is like if the guys that wrote bad broadway musicals got ahold of it. As shitty and plagiaristic as the original Ice Ice Baby is, I still prefer it. Although it was a nice parody of the style/overall shittiness of the original song and the early 90's

This isn't a parody. They were contestants on The X Factor in the UK, they see themselves as musicians. Everyone else knows they are disgusting and should probably be poisoned but yeah they are just disturbing on so many levels.

I'm in, I'm moving house soon though so I won't be as active in the beginning.

I'm in, out of sheer anger of not being able to find any sharp objects nearby to gouge my eyes out after seeing the video of those jedward creatures and having to settle with the mouse in poking my eyes.

My review is that those two should die a slow and painful death.

You know what, five people is good enough for this forum. So I'll take your submissions, then order the reviews in a grace period where anyone who reviews them can get in.

Then we'll run again with the early adopters getting a second shot first. So anyone who posted above this can now propose a second song (in this thread or PMed, kinda hope you do the latter so I can order the first reviews in an epic way), and the official schedule will start when I next declare so. (Probably a couple days to see who is fully in.)

And then we'll go for real. The rules?!?

REVIEW IT. Miss three? We kick you out. Miss four? We kill your family. Miss five? Well, it doesn't really matter.

I'll review Jedward anyway considering I had to sit and watch them on the X Factor for like 4 weeks.

A bit of back history; The X Factor is a British talent show much like American Idol, only with some key differences. The four judges on the show are each "responsible" for a group of singers... either Groups (self explanatory), Boys (young guys), Over 25's (yep) and Girls... Jedward made it through in the Groups category, picked by Louis Walsh (who found Boyzone or Westlife or something). Jedward were boo'd at every live show/performance they did, mostly because they are absolute filth and need to be killed. They are also too stupid to know that everyone hated them, so they took the criticism REALLY well and eventually won people over. Thankfully they got rid of them a few more weeks later, but having to sit through their performances was horrifically painful. Example:

Anyway they are a joke but they have this little kid following that means they'll sell records; thus Ice Ice Baby. Obviously it's a complete embarrassment of a song in the first place and they ruined it more by using the Queen/David Bowie song the bassline was stolen from. It'll sell a lot of records though so no one will care. Don't be fooled though, they are not a "joke" act... at least they don't consider themselves one. They're just two queer teenagers who would get their asses kicked regularly if they lived in any other country but because England is mostly full of pussies these days they survive. I have nothing to say about the actual song really.

I think all of us here are in total agreement that there's actually no 'music' to review from jedward so we'll just comment on how they are a bunch of ass monkeys.

John and Edward were a joke, but it's true that they were entertaining. But still it was a joke that Britain's Got Talent kept them so long almost to the finals. But I have to agree that they did ok jobs with some songs like the one benji posted above. Not great, but ok. As for their songs, I would never enjoy listening to them regularly on my mp3 or in the car, but once in awhile, just for the fun sake, it wouldn't hurt I guess.
