SUPERSTAR '08 AIACT

Latest version 5.2
- replaced a few shots
- modified pass anims
-utilizing pdubs sum demo aiact.

I basically added alot more jogging passes and removed the default handoffs with a behind the back pass.
added a few superstar passes, but nothing too over the top.

removed a couple inside shots that seemed to get blocked alot.

Well, I'm going to upload a short video. Not a montage or anything, but a few good sequences I've encountered while using this latest update. I will say that some of the lob passes got a little annoying, but the CPU reacted as it should- though, it didn't pick off as many as I thought it would have. The post moves and shots are a great improvement, I use CPU controlled shots for this purpose. I'll give a link in this post when it's done uploading. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2D6EqS ... e=youtu.be

Well, I've been playing around with it some more. And I saw this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6yWO_o ... e=youtu.be By the way, the CPU can block normal jump shots too easily. Like, a player can free himself up for a full 3 seconds and when winding up *blocked* by an outstretched arm (not the swat, the stretch).

Very strange , but funny ! I think that may be an error when i modified the pass.act. i probably forgot something lol.

Imma look into it when i get back from a quick trip back to Cali.

btw , which lob passes didn't you like? the lobs on the break or the post entry lob to the bigman?

as far as blocks go I didn't even touch the file lol, it may be an edited file from someone else. What you can do is import the default block.act and tell me if theres a difference..thx.

Alrighty then, have a save travel. In response to your question, if not too careful the player initiating and sometimes receiving the pass may travel out of bounds. That of course when their about 1-5 feet from the line, which is reasonable I guess. I mean, it can be avoided anyway. I'll have to post a longer 5 minute or so gameplay video, oh and more signature shots would be lovely. I have a couple of players in my fantasy rosters using their own shots (if their overall is high enough, or they have the star or superstar icon).

I mentioned it before I think, but the post is great. The frequency of any of the animations usually isn't too much, so there's some variety.

I actually found a few more walking anims that are pretty cool. there's an anim that walks with a behind the back dribble and one cross over dribble. there's also a couple follow thru anims used in the 3point contest that i can import..

I removed the jogging pass anim during an inbounds pass..Weird, i never caught that . check back soon for an update, i'm trying a few different things.

Hey BAYAG, where did you get that NBC scoreboard? Is it the one that's been here way way back?

I'm so late, looks good. I'll try it out, in a couple of days I'll be pretty inactive for the summer though.

EDIT: Okay, looks really good. There are some jumpshots that look funny or are just bad. Sigshot 313 has a weird animation, I don't know if it's possible to individually remove/replace them.

Those new animations are awesome btw. Here's a short video, the CPU is controlling the ball handler. Looking like one of those awesome Live 05 mods (the name escapes me).

The new animations that trigger when using free-style control are a nice touch, though sometimes I don't know what I'm doing. I've went into practice mod a few times and tried triggering certain animations over, though, it may take a little more time to completely map-out what movements correspond with the animations that play. So far, I've realized that up, up up, down, down down, trigger a generic crossover ( wide left to right, wide right to left dependent on ball-hand).

Hehe I don't know what i'm doing either. Since there's no tutorial for this stuff its basically trial and error.

i added a type of dribble jab fake, a drib hop forward, standing spin move, crossover drive and a standing crossover.

as far as sigshots I didnt touch them. Sigs are from Kris.

But i did manage to add a few legend sigs for kobe, lebron, duncan. jordan.
olajuwons dream shake.
a cool larry bird sig.
I'll prob use that if i ever convert classic teams to 08, but it may take months to finish.

Alright awesome man! Hey, would you happen to know how to speed up the release time for cpu-controlled shots? They tend to pull-up and wait 2 or 3 seconds to release, too long.

I've just now noticed the disappearance of leaners... (shooting whilst moving left or right), is this intentional?
