Description:
Tool to editing NBA Live 08 database (DBFs).

Supported Platforms:
PC only.

=> Uninstall your previous version if you have it
Make sure all files from previous installation is clear!!!

New in 2.3:
- Fix bugs on All-Stars teams.
- Add player to All-Stars team feature added (tested on NBA Live 08).
- Renaming stadium name on team editing.
- Delete team feature added.
- Fix on editing rosterpos now begining from 0 to 14.


If your system not supported Segoe fonts, go to your NBA Live 08 Editor installation folder\AllRes\fonts, copy all font files yo your WIndows\Fonts folder. Close your editor and re-start it.

Features:
1. Editing Player
- Editing player general info, ratings, accessories.
- Export/Import player.
- Create new player.
2. Teams Editing
- Edit teams general info.
- Team gear editing.
- Create new team.
3. Roster Management
- Add player into team.
- Trade player.
- Reordering roster.

Requirements:
If your system asking msvcr71.dll when launching editor, find it on google and
paste to your system folder or the same folder you install NBA Live 08 Editor.

Windows Vista & Windows 7 Users:
If the editor not working properly, before you launch NBA Live 08 Editor right-
click on shortcut and select Run as Administrator. The NBA Live 08 Editor tested
on Windows XP SP3.

Bugs Report:
If you find some bugs, please tell me so I can fix it.

Oh wow! Welcome to the forum Ayiep ! Your NBA Live 08 editor is surely one we will all be looking forward to, such a great tool for editing, specially in dbf files. Good luck with that and keep up the good work!

Maybe you can try to figure out if there is a way to edit the sounds of the game, like mixing players name?

And uhm, sock color too?? without affecting the color of the gears..

First off,welcome to the forum and great job.

This is a good idea.The dbf editor that is mainly used gets many people confused.The one you are making looks like it would be user friendly.

As far as other tools,maybe Andrew might have a better idea as to what could be added.I personally think you should make with what you have and add new tools in later versions.I certainly do not want to rush you on this.So take your time.

@for all thanks for the support I working the editor about 3 days and still do a lot of experiments on it, actually this is the prototype and for the beta/full version more value will added to editing.

Oh, I really have problem about calculating overall ratings, have everyone here know how to calculate it, the formula maybe?

if I remember correctly, the game will automatically recalc the overall ratings when it loads the roster, so no point in trying to edit them.

I do have a good idea for a tool though, if you could make a roster tool that could export Seniors and 90+ OVR players from an NCAA dynasty mode, then import them as rookies into an NBA Dynasty mode.

Awesome stuff, having some tools like that would be really, really helpful to say the least. If it could be adapted for use with NBA Live 2005-07 as well - a lot of the databases are basically the same, just a few different fields here and there - that would also be a tremendous help to the community.

I can try to lend a hand any way I can as far as the DBFs are concerned. We've also got these resources available:

The only other suggestion I'd make for the moment would be to represent heights in feet and inches and weight in pounds, as metric measurements might cause some confusion and add an extra step of converting measurements when modifying that data. Other than that though, everything looks fantastic. Great job!

About export/importing player I will try it, thanks for the idea.

Will your editor make it possible to create teams like the madden editor? Meaning create the team and then fill the bench? Madden editor allowed you to edit created teams players and you could change out uniform items as well.

That'd definitely be an awesome feature to have as well, if it's possible to add at some point.

No need to yell. Likely you'd see a new player tab. It'd be a default face i would think.

Help me to find some bugs, I'm not test it long enough. I just try make my character by importing from other player and play it on Season, and I don't have any problem with my season
