My controllers can be map but wont work in game

My controllers can be mappable but wont in game. I have ps3 and an ipega 9157(this might be generic gamepad) controller for reference.

Player that im controlling wont move when using a controller that I map. any fix to that?

lke how can I use modern controller to play this game?

(My drivers are fine because I can use my controllers in other games.)

NBA Live 08 uses DInput as its controller input protocol. If your controllers are XInput, they won't work properly (either not at all, or some of the buttons may not be recognised, particularly the rear triggers/shoulder buttons).

I'm currently using a Logitech F710 PC gamepad, which has a switch on top for DInput and XInput mode. When I'm playing an older game that uses the old DInput protocol, I just have to flick that switch before firing up the game and there are no issues.

I believe you can use a remapper or other workarounds to get controllers to work, but I'd say the issue is related to DInput/XInput.

Just found a solution just paste the win32 files on this zip file from this website:https://github.com/samuelgr/Xidi
works with my ps3 controller

Tutorial(if anyone is interested)
1.Download the xidi files from release(https://github.com/samuelgr/Xidi)
2.Extract the all files in win32 folder only into where the exe is located

(we should inform others on this if they wanna play with modern controller just a suggestion)
