Rosters are placed in the save folder. All other files are placed in the sgsm folder or subfolders in sgsm as noted on the respective downloads pages.

i guess i'm still a bit confused. i downloaded the four downloads (reliant stadium, cf's, logos, & roster) from page one. it has .ebo, .fsh, .big, .viv, .dbf, and .dat files in it. i don't see any sgsm folder in the c:/documents/nba live directory. am i supposed to put these in the game directory under program files/nba live instead of the documents file?

Yes. The sgsm folder is located under the main game folder, which by default is C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 08.

In a nutshell:

- Rosters go in the saves folder, which is under your Documents folder
- Art goes in the sgsm folder (or the appropriate subfolders, as directed) which is under the main game folder

You've pretty much answered your own question. You're trying to use an 08 roster with 07, thus you are experiencing crashes.
