v2 has more music but not organised .v1 hasn't got so much content(as i've heard in game)

i just lost all interest in this patch..

1) v2 plainly sucks. (no offense to skyline but he's not here anymore and he even said so himself) i never want to play another game with v2.

2) v1 has a LOT of content, maybe you don't actually play the game enough..
v2 has too much silent moments, weird and awkward mvp chants, the sounds are way too soft and the quality is bad.

3) DO YOU KNOW HOW BIG THIS FILE IS GOING TO BE? download is going to take a long ass time. honestly, in that time... i can just buy nba 2k9. really now, it seems like you're the one that's not very good at organizing. you're just jumbling a bunch of patches together, putting it into this patch with no regard to the file size, the compatibility, and not to mention again how much of a bitch it's going to be to download this patch. gg i'm sticking to my customized patches.

Are you talking about the PS2 version? because when I looked at the animations files I found the same few sigshots, the same GTMs, the same dunks...the same unused GTMs (yes, the files are still there but not integrated in the game) as in nba live 08...

for the courts...
we need an updated stadiums... probably the accurate one but those which dont have bright colors... because for some its really nice to see updated and accurate stadiums but its awkward to see it with bright colors... like the seats etc... this is what i mean...



and if stadiums with crowd can be made in brighter colors.. i think it should be all in all.. like realistic ones.. like this one



so probably its easier and nicer for a game to use or to make the first type of crowd... so please those who will make courts... to be included in the mod.. please update the stadiums.. thanks!...

and as for the lighting.. need more comments if its really good for you all to be used as the official lighting of the MOD..

no... not the default necessarily, atleast the court should only have 1 type all in all per court.. its just awkward to see bright stadium colors with dull crowd or vice versa.. if its dull its all dull (its not that bad how it looks like) if its bright then all bright... it depends on the overall look of the stadium..

as i'm browsing through the other threads, i noticed the poll ran by statfan, about the coverboy of NBA LIVE 09... kobe is leading in votes.. i think its not that necessary to stick on tony parker being on cover, though atleast we should consider him if theres no other else.. but if kobe or other players will be voted, or for whatever results, i think we should consult others first.. anyway its nice to have other cover boy for NBA LIVE 09 in PC...

Fantastic work by everybody!

Looking forward to this, a true compilation of talented graphic designers & game editors.

My only comment for the patch - that 1x v. 2x issue would be great to resolve once and for all, as far as sizing on various graphics files to avoid crashes.

To see a patch like this come together is a good day, for any Live fan from over the years, just playing the game.

Honestly, you guys this lighting is horrible. just look at it. The Original Nba live was better than this. By the way, you guys have to move on and just play Nba 2k9. Its Sooooo good.

Vahn, your lighting isn't horrible and I like how the shadows on players as well as the jersey textures off your lighting. The only thing is theres no sweat on player models but not every gamer likes to see sweat so guessits alright.

THe new loading screen is nice just like your previous ones. But can you make main menu screens and pause menu screens first because these arent made yet while your older loading screens i reckon, are still great quality

well.. i'm saying this not because that you put negative comment on my lighting patch, there is no problem about it, its your opinion or comment.. but to say that in a way that you are telling us to quit and to stop patching 08 isnt right.. i mean.. how could someone like you, who have been patching here for a time say such things?!?! didnt you also enjoy making patches before? just because of 2k9 being released in PC you will turn your back from where you've came from? damn.. now.. if your just to post anything not related to the MOD or live 08 or this project, then get your ass off and buy yourself 2k9 for PC! you 've just showed how rowdy you are after just playing and having 2k9...

I totally agree with vhan, it is not necessary to persuade and convince other people to quit Live 08 and switch to 2k9. If you ask me, most of us is getting 2k9 anyway but we are still patching Live 08 because we love to. All of you, and I mean all, have been playing Live for at least a year. You cant just say that Live sucks and then switch to 2k9, it's wrong. Live was what kept you in this forum since January. If you wasn't playing Live, then you wouldn't be here in the first place. Admit it, you have had some fun playing Live over the past year. At least on the patching front. You are actually disgracing yourself since you used to patch Live 08 and you actually did something similar to this thread.

If you like 2k9 more than Live, which is likely for a lot of people, then play 2k9. Nobody can and will stop you from doing so. What you shouldn't do is turn your back on Live and tell us to quit. We have passion for patching and we wont simply quit like you did. We aint no quitter. If you want to play 2k9 then go but dont take other people with you. If we want to switch to 2k9 then we would have had done so already. Now that we're still here, it means that we still want to patch Live 08 and the only damn reason is because we love to. When you said that vhan's lighting was terrible and that 2k9 is way better than Live, you have lost all your dignity and pride as a patcher. You no longer have the right to be in this thread. Get your ass moving. If you think about it, you said that under the NBA Live Series Center. How disrespectful of you, to the site and to every patchers who are still here. My patience had reached its limit. Go away non-believers, we will make this patch happen and we can do it without your garbage comments.
