hawk_3y3, that's not the name of the real intro music. It's Sirius, not Eye in the Sky.

next_warrior, that is 'O Fortuna' by Carl Orff and the second one is 'Beautiful People' by Marilyn Manson.

I don't recall hearing many chants in 08, if any.

It's very hard to include others in that work, because the file im editing on is just sooo big, would be a problem to share it all the time. Don’t be cross with me, but i think it's better when i work on it alone. As i said the only thing i would need help on is to find more songs. But probably you can help me on something else let's talk it over on icq or msn :wink:

Yes that was really hard yesterday, all these great songs, that almost everybody knows about, but almost nobody knows the title

I think the warrior theme is good replaced with the Boston Celtic anthem (this song is so damn powerful).

Yesterday i also looked at the team specific ast files and surprise: Only the chants for the whole team like "Let's go Cavs Let's go" are in content. Every Team has about 3 files of that and nothing more.
Was that MVP shouting really at 06? Man how the time went by, thought it was 08

As i mentioned NBA live 08 only uses 4 introduction songs randomly. So i will have to decide which i pick...

Probably ill release a ingame preview video to show how this kicks azz :cool:

Yes i'm progressing, but there are some challenges in doing this...

Player introduction sounds are ready and working nice, but ingame sound is very hard. Seems like EA-Sports made very loud and bad quality samples that are actually turned down ingame. So i don't really know which volume fits the best. My samples are often to quiet and so you can hardly hear them. Now i fixed it, but it sounds not so nice....

Second problem is the playtime. The introduction music has no limitation, you could pick a 60 minutes song and play it all game long. I fixed it by taking the default length.
But ingame my sounds are sometimes only played for 6 seconds and rarely (what comes to my next problem)...

I need more songs! I watched about 4 NBA games the last days, but i came up with nothing new.

And last but not least i'm figuring out which index number is used for substitiouns and in between music. (I need music for that too)

So to be honestly, even with the best import tools you can get it's hard word.... But i think i will release it someone somehow :roll:

I watched Raptors@Lakers today and with less than a minute left on the clock in the 4th quarter Kobe was shooting two free-throws and fans were shouting "MVP, MVP" and I think such a thing was in NBA LIVE 2004 , so you should try to make it (not just for Kobe , but for VC, LeBron, D-Wade, KG too, when they're playing at homecourt

) I'm really looking forward to this project

so don't bu rushing to release it to not to do any mistakes

Man, man I can't understand what is that patch for?.. it changes musics in the match.. It changes players introduce.. And it changes the msuics in the pause menu.. Riight?.. But how exactly i must install that patch (when you release it) Do I have to change something with your arenajukebox? :wink:

GazuN, it will not be the update for the "ARENA JUKEBOX" , but the xditties.ast file, whitch u will have to replace in audio/aems folder , right hawk 3y3?

hawk_3y3, im watching HOU@ATL and i've just heard T-Pain ft Kanye West- Good Life. Also I remember, that in the NBA games these sounds are used: "Everybody clap your hands" , "Ghetto" (or smth like that, when smbd says "Ghetto" and crowd says the same

. Two more things: As I noticed, in the nba games organ sounds are played more often, than hip-hop , so I'm thinking, U should do smth about it

when the home team is defending , the fans are shouting "DEFENSE DEFENSE" almost every time

and organ/hip-hop are played when the home team is at offense So U should think about it

The difference between Arena Jukebox and this patch is, that this patch will be completly integrated into the game. This means sounds and songs are played at the right time and not randomly as before with my tool.
As SkyLine03LT said my patch will almost completly replace your xditties.ast and .abk file in the NBA live\audio\aems. This file is about 230 MB big, so you now probably see how much this will change in game.

Right MVP shoutings would be great, but as far as i know there is nothing in NBA live 08 that will trigger such sound, so there isn't a way to patch that. (I'm very sorry for that, because i would also like to have that ingame)

The second thing which you said is right. All the last few games i saw had very little amounts of music ingame. The Lakers hat playing organs like all the time. As far as i analysed NBA live 08 has 15 organs, about 10 beats, 5 fanfares and one cowbell which are played randomly. Problem is, that these sounds mostly (especially the organs) don't really reflect to the reality. Most of them are fictional. But the only way to have them played more times than normal is to copy the files inside xditties.ast more times. In the internet you don't find much good organ sounds and recording them from games doesn't work because these moderators are talking almost every time.
Probably someone here has experience with a midi-sound program and can play these organ sounds once again...

Would interest me what the others think about that...
More organs and most likely more real atmosphere or

At this point im realizing that this project has to be done by more than one person. I will need help. The next few days i will release a tool to test ingame music easily without having to wait for this song to play to speed up working process.
Until that point i would like to know who of you is interested in helping me and has experience in the following:

- Audacity or an other audio editor
- Good feeling for music and which parts of a song work better for atmosphere
- Not afraid of replacing the xditties.ast very often
- Has ICQ or MSN
- Has good internet connection
- And last but not least likes to work in a team and has fun doing this

I was playing live 04 yesterday i didnt hear any MVP chants

BTW it was with the lakers and Kobe shooting Fts
