hey kris,

i followed what you said in the readme file..then i tried to play my game,den@lal..thought everything was ok 'coz it was still playing in the warmups then before showing the clip where coaches talk to each other my game crashed. dont know why.. good thing i backed up my files..im back to my nbalive08..here's what i have..all files from albys rosters v5.0 release(except his settings.dat),your GPF v1.34(aiact.viv,teams.dbf),yesky's latest simengine..other patches for the sgsm folder.. can you tell me if i need to download any file first before using your SGPF 1.0 so my game would be crash-free?thanks kris..hope i can play this wonderful patch of yours..more power

Oh I don't know if it crashed due to the gameplay, but an inbound in the 3rd quarter of the game Suns at Spurs crashed the game. We restarted and played till the end without crash.

I also realized that I still cannot start a dynasty. It says something about "appearance.dbf".


Seeing that I can start a season (without draft), I think it has something to do with generic draftees.

Newbie, welcome!

I guess try loading a fresh appearance.dbf to your saved roster.
And see it if it'll do the trick.

You can get a new appearance.dbf by reseting "reset roster/default roster" your roster in game and saved it. Now open it in your my document and copy the appearance.dbf

When you save a back-up, don't paste it directly to your NBA Live 08 folder when you want to revert to it. Be sure to delete the existing [crashing] NBA Live 08 before pasting so that it won't just overwrite the files.

I think you're problem is about the aiact compatibility. Make sure you install some needed patch to run the aiact correctly. Like "anim-body" patch or such.

bro, i think you need the anim files mentioned in my post above. just follow the link and instructions above and try the game again with this.

thanks guys for the help..i noticed that i only experience that crash on den@lal game.hope somebody can tell me whats wrong because on other teams even lal at home,no crashes..now i'll try the SGPF..i'm using the animation files of albys roster v5.0,i think he got it from webberf1(ITS LIKE THAT 2008 + WebberF1 new sigshot and GTM).don't know if this is the same anim files that your saying..pls help me..thanks!

For many teams, it make sense to have Kobe, T-Mac, Nash, Agent 0, Lebron, etc. leading in assists. However, for certain teams, Dirk, Al Jefferson, Iguodala, Sheed, are their main players, thus leading in assists. Maybe there is some way to fix that?

Can someone help me? I have tried everything to get these sigshots to work with the gameplay fix ect but everytime right before the game starts it crashes before i can even see anything. I have gotten it working before but for some reason the anim files or the aiact files arent working....I need help!!! I am currently running the 5.5 shoes patch with XIAOJU rosters, SGPF 1.0, and Webbers sigshots.....

are you using default lakers court files? if not delete the bbd files for the backboards. that should do the trick

Probably we need some brave experienced hex editor or programmer to edit "nbalive08.exe"... By that time, I will have a wife and have a PS3 playing 2k.

DEN, make sure that you don't have any other aesthetic files installed such as jerseys, courts or accessories.

I have given up on my Season, and in PC version of NBA LIVE 08. The stats are just ridiculous. Is there anyone here playing Live using PSP? How are the stats there?

Most of the PF are averaging triple doubles, Yao Ming is averaging about 2-3 3point FG per game, CP3 is averaging 8 steals per game, Boozer is averaging 2.3 Rebounds per game.
