it looks like they tried molding a car tire and canvas together and glued the 3 stripes on to it.

Word. I think the designs are interesting, but the material they used and the way they are molded together gave it an out-of-space look.

Anyway, it dont really matter to me as long as it's cheap, durable and comfortable to me in real life. ;)

I have to sharply disgree with you on this one. I'm deep into basketball kicks and I'm a big part of the basketball kicks society in Thailand.

I've been to plenty of exhibitions and fair, and from my overwhelming experience I have to say that Adidas has better technology than Nike. All Nike ever do for basketball shoes are Air, Shox, Zoom and AirMax. The technologies that Nike has mainly focus on the impact and cushioning. On the other hands, Adidas tends to have more promising technology. (Torsion system, Formotion, Bounce, Adiprene +, Adiprene, Clima Cool, etc) They dont only focus on the impact and cushioning but they also focus on the safety of the feet and different postures of it. Most basketball shoes by Adidas offers protection right from the heel to the finger tips. It is designed to prevent sprained ankle, twisted ankle, whatever. Adidas shoes are mainly designed to fit all specific types of feet. That means that they're concern about the shape and structure of the feet because we all have different feet. True, their design are not always attractive but I can safely say that Adidas offer a lot more variety than Nike do.

Nike designs are somewhat limited lately. They dont tear out the box. The designs are hardly exciting and the same concept has been repeated over and over again. The new Hyperdunk has the same structure as the old Hurrache 2k5. Adidas tends to have more variety in the designing process and they're more unique and excitin. The difference is Adidas dont advertise as much as Nike. Nike spend a lot of money on advertising. Probably twice as Adidas did. That's why they gain more media attention. Most importantly, you can hardly see any quality material on a Nike basketball shoes nowadays. It's mostly plastic and rubber. You can make an easy comparison by seeing the amount of models released per year. Nike only release about 4 grade A model basketball shoes per year while Adidas release up to 10. Besides, I believe 60% of NBA players wear Adidas now.

I'm not being bias because I like Adidas more or anything though. I have about 30 basketball shoes roughly and about 15 of them are Nike so I'm being extremely fair. ;)
Anyway, those are just some statistic for you. Dont take my comments negatively because it's just my opinions. Most of them are facts however.

Modifly, Maybe you are right bro.. But I am sure that NIKE shoes are better..

My father works in Adidas here in Bulgaria.. And ofcourse most of my shoes are Adidas. i have 5 kicks and 2 old (all adidas) yeah there are some really comfortable shoes but when i bought myself a Nike hyperdunks WOW.. They are the most COOL shoes ever made..

I feel comfortable with them.. I'm balanced with them.. They aren't heavy - easy to jump, Their design and colorway is really cool.. And mainly, they protect my feet of getting musty.. {That is what my adidas kicks don't do (N) )

And finlay Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, USA team and AIR Jordan speek for the quality of NIke shoes ;) Belive me.. They are better.. ;)

(Sorry for the off topic comment.. )

Dont worry, we're not arguing. :D We're just swapping ideas. (Y)

GaZuN, You're right as well, but I think Adidas are good in their own ways and Nikes are good in their own way as well. They are specialise in different things. Nike is good at making soft, light, well cushion shoes while Adidas is good at safety issue and protection.

I too have a Nike Hyperdunk and I must say that I like it. However the choice of material doesn't impress me. The price are too damn high compared to what they used to make the shoes. Hyperdunks are sure beautiful, it is equipped with cool colourways and design but I think Hyperdunk is the only Nike kicks that did that so far this year.

I'm not going to talk any further because you cannot deny that you also feel comfortable, balanced and jumpy with Adidas. You just cant disagree with that. ;) As for your feet getting "musty", every shoes are designed to protect your feet from getting "musty" bro. If your feet got "musty" with an Adidas, then I guessed it's because you're not aware of it. How can your feet get "musty" when they're inside the shoes?

Lastly, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Air Jordan and USA team DOESN'T speak for the quality of the Nike shoes mate. These players are paid to wear the shoes. They will wear anything that pays them a good price. As I mentioned earlier, Nike invest more on advertising than Adidas. That is why superstars wear them. Nike takes advertising more seriously than Adidas. These guys will wear just about anything if they get lots of money for it. ;) Do you know, Kobe used to be a presenter for Adidas. After his contact with Adidas ran out he opted out to represent Nike because Nike paid him more. That's a fact that supports my claims of the statement.

For me, I think good basketball shoes are shoes they fit your feet well in shape. A shoe maybe great for your friend but not for you because you got different feet. You may or maynot feel comfortable with it. For me, I think the best Nike shoes are Zoom BB 1 and Hurrache 2k4 - 2k5.

And no. I dont believe you bro. They are not better. They are equally good. (Y) They are good in different categories. ;) I am pretty confidence in my personal knowledge of basketball shoes.. I've seen a lot. :D

Anyway, I hope you will not reply to my nonsense post about Adidas & Nikes anymore. (I know, typical right? I was the one who started it. ;)) Let's get back on topic and sorry for bluffing this long Xiaoju!

No,T-Time3 haha, they are not arguing. That's just different people telling different opinions.
And bro GaZun and Modify,it's not off topic comment. The topic is all about shoes,so what's wrong that we talk about shoes? On the contary,I think it's a very good phenomenon that we talk about the sneakers posted or to be posted.Keep the atmosphere.
I think Modify is right.it's not easy to tell which is absolutely better. But we are sure that Nike's advertisement work is the best.I've never bought an adidas shoe. But that dosent mean I dont want to.For example, when I wanted to buy the T-mac 5,Kobe put on the zoom kobe 1 on the Christmas eve and then scored 81pts before long,or when I took a shine to the pilrahna 3,Kobe jumped over the Aston Martin, and even that's a joke I will be sure to buy it.to me,since the two's sneakers are both squre, the one who's making the better ad wins.

CHNxiaoju, haha.. you're damn right. Nike obviously has better advertisement and they seem to be showing it at the right time. Their marketing sections are smart.. ;) As the two brands are equally good, the one with better ads will wins. Period. However I dont think that good ads always means that the product will be good. That's a price I cannot live with. ;)
