Nice cf's bro and i really like much the bhead preview of aaron brooks it really looks so detailed and about shane battier he doesnt look like rowan atkinson

thanks Kris, glad you like them since I put a lot of effort in them especially Brooks. ;) And about Battier.. dont worry, it's just my eyes.

But seriously speaking though, I'm sort of disappointed about the numbers of comments I'm getting.. I gotta say, it's appauling. :( My only motivation to finish this pack right now is because Houston is my favourite team. Apart from that, I dont really know if anyone will download this pack when it's done since it doesn't seem to be getting any attention.

Anyway, the show must go on. I said I'll try to finish Alston if I have enough time and fortunately the income homework wasn't too much.

Image

- 2x Detailed Bhed
- Custom Headshape by yours truly
- Real eyes (took me a lot of time)
- Real scars, real wrinkles, pimples, whatever..
- Gave him adam's apple
- I also made him a new sigshot but no preview of that thus far..
- I'm not really sure whether he'll be able to skip to his lou again at this age..
- Dont worry about the uneven skintone yet since I'll give him a custom skintone..

and here comes the bhed...

Image

- Those who try to make use of this bhed by cropping out the part which isn't covered by the "preview" watermark should be punched in the face or something...

I think I will reduce his beard since according to this picture he doesn't carry this much beard..

Image

I'll just give him his most common look that we see most often. I'll also remove the smiley wrinkles that EA put on his bhed in the next preview..

Well, I hope you like it. And I truly hope that you would kindly give me some comments. That's the very least you can do.

ah... to be honest I have completely forgotten about Calderon. CKal was actually the person behind Jose so I wasn't quite enthusiastic to finish him back then. So how about if I make him a whole new bhed plus a decend headshape to go along with it as my next player, will that ease your worry?

Thanks ~

Great work on Skip 2 My Lou!! hope i can see him soon on my game..
@Jom, yea, it wa pissing me off when i know that T-Mac didn't make the all-star game and, Houston still got the 1st round playoffs "curse"..
and this season i still can't understand what's in their mind to release Donte Greene to acquire Artest..
i know Greene is just a rookie but, in my opinion he is pretty promising..
and the latest they lost Patrick Ewing Jr..
and about my avatar..i was thinking to use T-Mac's avatar but
my jersey number in real life is 3 so i use Stevie..
sorry everyone..i'm off-topic..

Yep it was sad that we cant cure the first round curse yet. But seriously I think the only reason why we lost to the Jazz this year is because the Jazz is fucking lucky. T-MAC isn't 100% because of his knees and fingers. We dont have Yao. Alston missed the first two games and the last half of the final game. They are pretty lucky aren't they? If we have a healthy team with Alston, Yao and T-MAC playing at 100% the Jazz dont stand a chance..

I think trading Greene for Artest is actually a good move. You dont want to expect much in a rookie. There is very little chance that a 26th draft pick will emerge and average 15 points per game or something similar in his first season. ;) True, he did perform well at the Summer league, but that league is full of players at his level. Playing in the NBA is way more difficult. Remember what happen to Greene when Dahntay Jones defended him in the last summer league game? Greene struggled so bad against Jones, and Jones is just a grade C NBA player! Imagine what would happen if players better than Jones guarded him. Artest provide verstatility and trusts. He has experience and he is a superstar caliber. The most important thing is he proved that he can average 20 points a piece. And Patrick Ewing.. that guy may be a good defender but he is only capable of 10 points per game or even less. We dont need another defender when we have guys like Battier and Artest on the floor. We give away Ewing because we need to trim the roster. ;)

I have a new preview of Alston waiting to be post, but I've decided not to do that. There is no point of posting new previews when nobody pays attention to it. I've recieved no more than 4 comments on each of my recent patches so I take it that most people doesn't gives a shit about what I do. Too bad my username isn't A_NuKe or Glen or GH33 or urh28 or whatsoever so nobody bothers to comment on my work nor do take a second glance at it.

Eventhough I'm making progress on my Houston pack I wont post any news about it.

No updates until I'm in a better mood. I dont think this will affect anybody except me since nobody cares about it anyway.

Incase you haven't notice, I'm still busy and most importantly, I dont release sigshot as an individual. They come in packs. I've got 5 new sigshots at the moment? I'm sorry to keep you waiting, but I cant really help it with all the homework and other stuffs. I'll have to kindly ask you for your patience. Thanks for understanding.

I'll try to get him done for you before Friday. I dont have any free time tomorrow because of English essay and Maths coursework. :| I might have some time on Thursday so it could be your lucky day.

I've also noticed that my Chris Paul was downloaded 34 times this week. Before this week, the total download was only 23. It took me almost 2 months to reached 23 downloads and I've had 34 this week alone!! :D Thank you to everyone who downloaded it. :)

By the way.. you guys downloaded the wrong one. You weren't supposed to download the one called "Modifly_chrisPAUL08.rar". You were supposed to download the one called "Modifly_chrisPAULfix08.rar". The fix has better headshape, the one you guys downloaded has inaccurate headshape. Sorry for the inconvenient but please download the fix again. ;) Thanks again!! Maybe a preview tomorrow, I actually feel a lot better now after draining the game winning three pointer this evening. Seriously speaking though, I still insists that I'm disappointed about the amount of comments I'm getting.. maybe I should change my username to A_NuKe and people might write me more comments.

Hayes is also really good.... and about Brooks, is there an in-game preview somewhere in this thread? I couln't find it, but the bhead is very smooth 8-)

thanks a bunch dreadd41, you always made me happy. :D Actually his scar wasn't this obvious on the photo so I exaggerated his scar on the bhed a tad. ;) As for Hayes I like it too but somehow it doesn't look Hayes-ish to me. :| His eyes and his nose are the X-Factor.. anyway I think it's way closer than other Hayes out there. As for Brooks, I've just recieved a headshape from SAMutei so I'll try it with my bhed when I get home. Hopefully it'll turn out good but if not I'll have to make him a new headshape either from EA's default or base it on CKal's headshape that he made three-four months ago. If the homework load isn't too much you might be able to see an ingame preview before Friday.

Seems like you have the same opinion as me regarding Houston Rockets. Here are some of my opinions. With the addition of Ron Artest, I am hoping we CAN finally get our point guard position stronger. Alston is fine, give you a 10pt/5ast. But he has alot of weakness such as strength, shooting ( got to make those freebies off Yao's double team), and most importantly penetration ( we have the only guard who never does that).

I am thinking of getting rid of Luther Head, Inconsistent but has value.
Shane Battier, very good value and we won't miss too much from him since we have artest. And for them get a point guard like Billups. Then we really have a Sick team.

I was thinking of trading T mac for Billups + Hamilton but I don't think Houston is going to risk.

I have seen Ewing Jr play like a year ago, nothing special. As far as greene goes, I like his potential. Nevertheless, he lacks conditioning. He is so far no where near Rudy Gay in the first year I can tell you that. The reason he scored alot in Summer League is a business strategy by Rockets to sell him off to make him seem like he has GREAT VALUE. And Dorsey man, he is a beast that can get a foul anywhere.

:x free to correct me~ sorry for my bad english too

Most of our opinions are the same. ;) Some are different though.

- Artest will definitely give the team a big boost on both ends of the court.
- Alston is a fine PG, he distribute the ball well, he's a good ball handler and he is capable of hittine 3-4 three pointers a night. Most importantly, he is indispensable since reliable PG are so hard to find nowadays.
- I would never get rid of Luther Head. Actually he's a very consistent player and he proved that in the 06-07 season. 4th best players in the leauge from beyond the arc, gives you 3 assists a game, runs impressive pick and pop with Yao Ming, clutch shooter. He could be an easy contender for the sixth man of the year if he gets more minutes. True, his stats wasn't as good in the 07-08 season but that was because his minutes were reduced from 27.6 minutes per game down to 18.9 minutes per game! I was actually pissed at Adelman for this, Head even gets more playing time in his rookie season! His stats last season were even worst than his rookie year. All this because of decreased playing time. Jeff Van Gundey has more faith in Head than Adelman does. Head fits in well besides T-MAC and Yao and he had proven to be a reliable player if he gets more playing time.
- True, we wont miss Battier that much since Artest provide the same thing Battier does but wouldn't it be better to have a reserve/backup who can do the same thing as Artest? That would make the team a lot more reliable when Artest is on the bench.
- We dont need a point guard like Billups when we have T-MAC and Yao on the team. Detroit needs PG like Billups since Detriot is a team without true superstars. All the players plays at a high level so they are a great team. If you think about it, no one on the rosters are superstar caliber like Kobe, Lebron or Wade. They're all star players and the reason why they're capable of 60+ win is because all players are providing a helping hand. Most guy on the team average 15+ points.
- Trade T-MAC for Billups and Hamiton? Oh hell no, those guys will never provide what T-MAC does. Besides, they are 31 years old, their game will keep getting worse, there is no improvement room for them as of now.
- I agreed with you about Greene and Ewing. Like I said, he's a great defender but we dont need him with Battier and Artest on the team.
- Greene definitely has potential but he look promising in the summer league because it is full of players at his level. NBA is tougher and he'll struggle against players like Dahntay Jones.

The reason he scored alot in Summer League is a business strategy by Rockets to sell him off to make him seem like he has GREAT VALUE.

True, I completely agree with you on that.

- Dorsey is similar to guys like Carl Landry and Mike Harris. Works hard on the board and has tremendous power. I dont think he has as much potential as Landry though.

Anyway, nice to meet another Red Rowdies. Hope to see you more often obliviousky. ;)

True. Battier and Artest would be a really nice SF rotation. But Battier has a lot of values if we trade him with some other players. I agree that Head is consistent on 3s, but the main reason he is not getting alot of minutes is his ball handling and defense. I would not trade him but consider his value alone with Battier, we can really get a reliable point guard.

As far as Detriot goes, the team is going on a road of reconstruction since big mans are getting older as well as the guards. Detriot, using the same lineup as last year, can still produce 50wins plus season, but not enough for the championship. That's why I would steal Billups from Detroit in a 3 team trade with Houston giving away Battier and Head. Giving Head away alone won't produce much interests for teams, that's why I want to trade Battier.

I was before thinking of getting Calderon, but I guess that Raptor decided that he is the next "Nash" in terms of assist/turnover and shooting consistency.

Landry I feel sorry for him. Without Dorsey he can get himself a nice bargin on contract. If Landry decides to take the contract that is offered, Houston has a sick PF/SF rotation. But if he reject the contract, Houston won't miss much of him production as Dorsey is also explosive. Also Landry has injury issues if you have noticed.

what you said were all true, so excuse me for not replying to it in detail like last time. I'm pretty certain that Alston and Battier will not get trade. I dont think the Detroit deal is likely to happen too. With the addition of Artest, their main goal now is to retain the rosters as much as possible since it's so complete now. Great starters, good bench. In my opinion, Dorsey isn't going to be half as good as Landry in his rookie season. Landry put up some huge game and he's going to be far more consistent in his sophormore season. (did I spell that right?) Dont expect much from Dorsey yet but I gotta admit that he got game.

Anyway, I would like to shift momentum and focus on patches now. Since you're also a Houston fan, you must comment on them for me too. ;)

New previews of Alston already up guys...

Image

- Major tweak in his beard to give him his most common look that we see most often
- Made the chin a tad longer to accommodate his new beard
- He will be available in two versions, with full dirty beard as can be seen on the first post of this page and with his most common look which can be seen above
- Most likely to be the final preview of Alston

Wait!!! There's more..

- Realistic sigshot for Skip 2 My Lou to go along with the CF

Hope you like it. Mike Harris coming tomorrow! :D

thanks Big-JD, but I'll have to say sorry to you. :( I would like to teach you how to make/tweak sigshots, unfortunately it's quite time consuming and I hardly have any spare time to do so. I hope you will forgive me and understand my circumstances man. ;)

thanks obliviousky, the first one looks fine to me but I thought I could do better so I stepped ahead and improved it. ;) Nice to hear that my patches fits in well with your 06 too. :)

thanks Pete, but I dont think the CFs looks like my old work. They're all new, made from scratch. The possibilty that they will look similar always exists though since I use the same picture and I made them in the same style. :P

no problem for those sigshots OG, my pleasure. :D Thanks for your comments too and I also look forward to completing this Rockets pack. ;)

More updates :

Image

- 2x Detailed Bhed
- Custom Headshape by yours truly
- His custom skintone will be here soon, dont worry if the colour dont match
- Unfortunately I wont make his current detail cut since it's so difficult to align and all that. I tried, failed, try again, give up. It's been like a cycle. :?

Ron Artest bhed :

Image

Luis Scola bhed :

Image

- I used urh28's bhed as a base. Well, basically everything were new. I just use his bhed to locate where each things goes that's all.
- Features real hair textures although you might not notice.
- I'll make a dirty version for him too.
- Hopefully the headshape will be finish soon, I'm having some difficulties with his headshape. :?

I decided not to make Mike Harris since CKal made a decend one for him. Besides, Harris is not a Rockets at the moment since he's still on the free agent pool. ;)

The following players are 100% finished. :D

*Click on the pic to make it slightly bigger
Image

Players with finished bhed but no headshapes yet are :

- Luis Scola
- Tracy McGrady
- Aaron Brooks

Phew... making a pack is hard work. If I could cope with my free time well, I should be able to make Mutombo, Francis and Barry as well. ;)
