Its not better, but its harder to beat especially with the fastbreak bug, I had a season of great games with this one, every game was close, we went 37-5 before I restarted it because of trade deline!!

I have a two questions! In program files\Ea Sports\NBA LIVe 08\database have to be only one map? OrigDB? And what graphic texture is compitable with this lightning?

im just curious kris.. when will u release the actual gameplay fix? it's also our finals week so i cant play nba live 08 but im still updating myself for some new patches. :D

Kris, is there a way, I could make CPU shoot more 3pt shots ? 'Cause I play 5min qtr. and CPU only gets 3-4 3pt attempts.

half of the players have something wrong wiht their shoes like a ball texture
and my game crashes when certain players try to shoot liek Duncan and Shaq

ill try to see if i can make them shoot more :wink:

and for the ball texture i dont know guys maybe its because of the patch of chnxiaoju try to install it to avoid that problem.

i deinstalled nba 2008...reinstalled it and applied the fix...the game still crashes

did you try to apply all the files to their respective folders? and did you also load my rosters? if you did did not do it then it will really cause some crashes :wink:

First impressions from the 2.0 beta-file (first of all the sliders):

- the game speed is too slow, IMO. Players don't move realistic.
- long range shot for users are set too low. Kobe didn't get the open three several times

All in all i think this fix is almost perfect.

Well another thoughts:

- Gamespeed at 40 is perfect for a 7 Minute Game, I guess.
- Nash and Barbosa each stepped out of bounce in the first quarter and Nash anotther one in the forth while they tried to run the plays for their team. I guess in 1.34 it wasn't that much. Or is it sliders work, too?
- penetrating is much more difficult. Nice work, kris!
- the foul-sliders are too high, I think. I had up to 25 FTs in a game and a couple of calls but no shooting foul. Penetrating is much more difficult, but you can get the opponent in foul trouble, when you penetrate. Maybe low the in air collision-slider?
- I got a crash with 0:38 left in the forth quarter. No timeout or substitution at this time. The game was running. Maybe there's a problem with your roster, Kris? I played Suns vs. Lakers.

Kris, thank you for this beta release.
First thing I noticed is the .exe extraction, which is ok, but i prefer the old zip file.
I counted exactly 514 files inside it, which is a little confusing. Not because of instructions, because you explained the installation well, but I'm just not sure which files you edited, besides the aiact.
Which roster did you based yours on? I think it shouldn't have to be there. It was better when you just included just the files you edited inside the zip, like teams.dbf, settings with and without lighting, aiact, body .viv files and only 3 or 4 tuning files.
Unless you DID edit all the 17 tuning files.
I'm not sure what is the Origdbxbx folder or all the *13.CDX files inside workingdb folder.

Don't get me wrong, it's only constructive criticism :wink:

About the gameplay, i'm not sure if i can comment much, since i only installed the new aiact, but I liked what i saw. It was a little better then 1.34, the cpu distributed the ball better, made some smart decisions with the ball, and took fewer 'in-your-face' shots which are really annoying. The psychotic PG (trying desperately to score even though he's covered by 2 or 3 players) still happens from time to time, but i guess it's EA's fault, it won't go away easily.
On the downside, the PG stepping out of bounds with little pressure is still going on. Also the centers in the 4th quarter are celebrating their team's missed shots, which is really weird and wasn't happening before. And you could take a look at Caron Butler's sig shot, which is more like a GTM. I think Webber41 had fixed this problem in his last aiact before he went M.I.A.

Anyway, that's my feedback

sorry bro but i have included that origdbxbx because that file was mainly for my 07 nbalive game ..

next time ill just do that zip files and make the instructions more clearer..
