Guys, my suggested slider settings were made for 12 minutes at superstar level. sorry but i don't think it's compatible with shorter game minutes.

Maybe the game really goes uptempo when there are shorter minutes played than those with full 12 mins per quarter :?:

Don't know but it could be a reason why there are still some who say the fastbreak bug is still evident. Well, it's just my theory about it.

Haven't played less than 12 min a quarter 'cause it makes the realism disappear. :wink:

I hadn't had a chance to try 1.34 until now, so here it is (sorry in advance :oops:

):
- I played Denver against Clev, and ball distribution was not good at all. Hughes was PG of course, and he took most of the shots (25 attempts for 31 pts), along with LBJ (22 attempts for 31 pts). Only PG, SG and SF played for the CPU, and they mostly took contested shots that they wouldn't take in real life (well, Hughes maybe...). Even though I lowered his ratings quite a bit according to his season so far, Hughes was just all over the place offensively.
- Unfortunately, there was no post play at all for the CPU. Ilgauskas took a whopping 1 shot...
- On both sides, defense was very limited. At least, there were fouls and free throws (which rarely occur without your mod), but it was just way too easy to make your way to the basket with pretty much anyone.
- That's not related to your fix I think, but CPU never misses his free throws. I haven't played that many full games, but overall, I think I've seen it miss twice maybe...

- Superstars are nearly unstoppable. Their GTMs just never miss (no matter how much I tweak the sliders).

I know you work really hard on your patches, and thanks a lot for that, but I just wanted to share my results with you Kris. It's still better than the original, but hopefully you can fix a few of these things. (Y)

ok guys i know that youve been lately using my gameplay fixes some like it but some did not ...but next time ill really try my best to fix this once and for all ive thought that ive fixed that fastbreak issue cuz in my game it was really fixed tried all the teams and they are now just doing some fastbreaks when they have a chance to fastbreak..ill make another one and try to make it as perfect as possible and try to base the primacy and shot distribution from andrews rosters and hopefull i can now be able to fix it....

it will take time for me to make another one so please wait for it :wink:

i dunno about the others kris.. but my NBA live 08 is working great! with ur gameplay fix 1.34 and albys' rr3.

the ONLY problem SO FAR I encounter is that when I play with Dallas, the CPU substitutes Nowitzki every 4 mins for bass.. btw, i play 8min/quarter.

but besides that, all is working nicely. (Y)

i think you don't understand me. i'm not blaming kris for this fastbreak bug. i'm blaming EA SPORTS (N)

, i know that kris is doing a great job trying to make this game better, i just want to tell him what needs to be done, that's all.

btw, i just played the game with andrews rosters, yesterday i played with albys rosters and i noticed that the fastbreak bug exist when cpu pg has speed and acceleration above 83. I lowered this ratings for tony parker and san antonio played half court basketball.

i don't know where is the mistake, but in your first or second gameplayfix this bug didn't exist. maybe try to combine it with sigshots of webber and dunks of clydelli...

ill also include in my release a new lighting file that ive made and the gameplay settings that ive edited to really optimize now the gameplay :wink:

kris can you fix the deffense of Computer more steals and defense things like steals and blocks, and faster back to defense by the Computer and no easy lay-up....

i love your gameplay fix, its more realistic now, i agree with maek, its good

about CPU fastbreaks- i think you fixed it well, the only time CPU can get a fastbreak is when i dont defend well, i mean when i dont get back on def fast enough or im not harrassing their PG. Of course you cant get back on defense fast enough everytime so a fastbreak results (thats more realistic right hehe)

about PG dominating the ball- not anymore i think. i played lakers vs. denver, anthony carter didnt dominate the ball, its AI and Melo who shoots crazy shots but there were plays along the way like setting screens for kleiza and jr smith and overall its fine. i played with other teams and their PG weren't dominating the game unless they're a superstar. its a matter of defending well i think

the only bad thing i noticed in your gameplay fix is that when i play the DYNASTY MODE, the centers and PF's led the league in 3pts % (nazr mohammed) while the SG's led the league in block shots per game (ray allen)
all the centers/PFs had at least 200 3pts attempt at the end of the season

im using albys' roster btw.....
