Ok i've ran into a smalll problem guys just wondering if anyone can help me fix or figure out whats causing this to happen with the bootup screens and etc.
I extracted my original screens which were 1024x512 i believe but when i import my screens which are the same resolution 1024x512 they dont look good or they dont fit the screen properly.
Heres what i have for the nba logo screen
Image(does not fit the screen) Even when i half resolution using fshx??

Credits goes to Pdub&Members of Tup12 mod for these overlays i just edited them with sportcenter logo
The scoreboard may change,Ive been looking for the actual Espn Sportcenter scoreboard but im unable to find the one that i want.Im also learning this stuff on the fly so its kinda difficult for me figuring everything out but soon enough hopefully.Heres some examples of the scoreboard i would like to have for us.If anyone knows how i can make one or help me make one with new overlays i think it would improve the games presentations as i have more ideas to implement and try out!

Thanks
Yea i wish i could have Fraps running while im playing the game but it would take up too much HDD space.Hopefully i can get in a game or two displaying some cool stuff on video.Im working on the blocking animations so far so good i think its harder to block shots now once the ballhandler gets a little bit past your defense. But the computer will still come over on help defense. Its a new double team trapping animation added.Im focused more so on the gameplay itself because this gameplay was so terrible i couldnt finish a game of the original Live08.The players would do so much stupid stuff i just got tired of looking at it  And wanted to make a big change. If im able to find some Ps2 Ea sports games im sure i could be able to hijack those moves and animations.Ps3 games dont work so well and neither does xbox its kinda hit or miss with this stuff. But i will continue to work at this and get this out to everyone so that they can upgrade their TUP12 mod.I guess it'll be like a upgrade conversion mod.You guys would be really helpful if you have ps2 basketball games such as March Madness 07-08 i've already use Playstation 2 animations and etc for Live08 and im looking for more Ea games to hijack from..lol So if you have any older disc let me know they may be useful :applaud:

Well i believe the best way to show you guys these animations are if i do them in game and then catch them on instant replay, only problem with that is if the computer calls timeout right after i would loose the footage of the animation..But here is a new charging animation!! :D

Well thats because its kinda hard to just sit and wait on action without eating up a bunch of HDD space,Thats why when i do catch something new i post screenshots of it! But i guess the last video i posted you cant tell a difference neither???You honestly dont see a difference even in the screenshots?Or you just mean in the videos you really dont see a difference?

Ok guys i took about a week off from this project to test out the gameplay focus because of all of the new updates and courts and jerseys being released.I plan on still releasing this mod.So i've been thinking that the graphics needed to be more noticeable so i've decided to change a few things. Here is a screenshot of the crowd i will be using in 1280x1280(HD) Everything else will be 1024x1024 i made this change to make things standout a little more,I'll have a video up maybe later but im trying to get this mod up to date will all of the releases
Image
Also a Portland 2k13 Jersey preview converted by me credits goes to aristotle.I'll have in-game previews of the jersey later as well
Image
i may do all 2k13 jerseys if i have enough time thru my daily living just to give the game a different look,I need help with the numbers if anyone wants to do just the numbers i'll gladly convert the jerseys.Hopefully this mod will be released shortly after the NLSC rosters are released.

Thanks guys im mainly focused on the game play here's the video its not much i did catch 2 players running into each other and falling down..lol

Also i forgot to mention that i've added a 2k style gameplay to the game,If your holding right on your D-pad you bring up the passing icons, when you select an icon that player you selected comes and sets a screen for you..also if your holding pass after you make a pass you can control the player without the ball.

I was thinking, is it possible to refine the dribbling animations? In particular the free-style control animations, I've seen various animations ported to Live 05 using animations from the newer (06-08) Live games. Such as the Titan animations and the like. I've also taken a look at some of the idle dribbling animations from 06 and 07, if it is possible I would recommend using those instead of the vanilla one for 08. By idle dribbling animation I'm referring to when the player is at a still and is dribbling in place whilst protecting the ball with his other hand out in front. What You've done so far looks pretty good, I just thought I'd ask. (Y)

 I think it may be possibe but i've searched high and low so far and most of the simulation basketball games pretty much have this same animation i thought it was pretty weird, and the nba streets im sure has different animations but i dont have any of those to test out.Believe me i've been trying to change that i have a little i think but to better show here is an video update.

This is an update of the aiact and animation,You may see a few bugs but i've been working soo hard at this and its a nice size of files in the ai and anim gets quite confusing at times.
Try to focus on the animation on the sidelines and bench and crowd, also pay attention most of all to the gameplay ask yourself is it different, are my players doing this on my live too? Before you make statements about me publicly maybe it looks the same to you because its on video, but you all can judge for yourselves.I cant see how some people cant see change??hmm idk?? :| Welll anyways here is the UPDATED AIACT&ANIM FILES You tell me?? I think its different, also note that this is just gameplay most of the video except for maybe 2 or 3 have been HD.Just gameplay so far on the most recent videos,But screenshots partial HD Some things are some arent..

Hey bro, I don't think anyone is implying any negativity on your performance right now unless I haven't been reading the earlier posts. Honestly, there are a few animations in your mod that I have in my game already; I do not know what aiact I am using though.

NBA Street has some pretty cool dribbling animations, though most of them probably wouldn't fit into the Live atmosphere; this is NBA Live after all. I'm sure that most of us appreciate your work so far, don't become discouraged.

Thanks and of course there will be some moves the same but alot of them different and more smoother within animations
i've let the computer play the dunk contest and i've seen dunks i havent seen before and some dunks look different and more realistic,I'll do my next video based on that so you guys can see what i mean. But no one on here has said anything unappreciative tho just on youtube and thats not even my account haha  It didnt bother me just that they didnt seem to know a difference i just took it as they didnt view this thread because its not a link of it on youtube.I dont let that bother me bro i keep continuing to do what i do because i know that there is change. And im sure intelligent people can see that.I mean if i could use 2k's movements i would but i really dont think its possible i can surely try if i had some files to work with.Maybe 2k9 or 2k8 files might be compatible but i highly doubt it.If i can get around to it i'll check it out.But i think this aiact looks fluid in animation its my main focus right now

I would recommend you to remove this animation if possible. (Y) It has a really bad habit of interrupting animations, especially because the CPU abuses it so much to prevent you from making a basket.

I was looking in the downloads section for Live 08, apparently there has been some importing from Street 07 - into Live 08. Well some of the dunks anyway, dribbling may be a different animal. I assume this is because both games have different dribbling systems to account for.

When I used the NBA street aiact, I seen a good deal of dunks that would be considered traveling obviously. However, they were dunks I haven't seen in the original game before; so I assume it may be possible to import animations from those older games into Live 08 with some limitations, the skeleton (is that what it's called, referring to the players models; the base for which they are animated) for each individual Live game may be different, so they'll probably have to be adjusted accordingly some how. I'm not savvy on modifying the .viv files, let alone importing them. I had a thought though.

Yea dunks were imported before, but the aiact is another story some aiact files are shown but some are hidden as well.Like Nba Street no matter what i did i couldnt open it and see files on the inside but the animation files i could but then they would have just goofy animations which i didnt want in a simulation game.I wanted to take a look at the ranalog files and the loco files but couldnt get into them.So true enough the dunks and movements can be imported but not the dribbling animations i dont believe because that would involve the loco.act file which i cant open or extract at the moment. But im looking at older nba live games any suggestions on which has the more realistic animations from NBA live 04 or older?

Dunks wise? I believe 04 may be the earliest you'll be able to get into, since the aiact was put in use then (I think). However, the only game older than Live 04 I have is Live 2003. From my understanding it would be more difficult to adapt animations from that because of the difference with the way the files are assorted in particular. I can't begin to understand how Live 03's animations work.

I do however have a growing interest in NBA live 2005's modding capabilities. Because different animations were imported into it, I feel that the same may be possible for 08 but with a good understanding of the files. I'm not experienced in modding Live games, frankly I'm modding a completely different one right now. I am however, looking into Live and trying to learn myself. Is there a particular program that you're using with your modification?

Oh ok,well good luck with your mod
But what kind of files are in 03?Does it have an aiact folder or an anim folder if it has an anim folder i probably can strip the animations from the folder if the program i have can extract it,its just a small tool that can extract files,That and a little hex editing tho im still learning

Looking into my NBA Live 2003 directory now, and it appears to have an ai and anim folders. However, the ai folder does not contain an aiact, the anim folder contains familiar .viv files such as xanims and xsyms. Even somethings called xfesyms and xfeanims. I'm not sure what the last two do, other than that they must be related with the first two in some way.

edit: I have began to look into some .viv files using EAgraph and some program called .viv edit, looking into the tutorial section has given me some insight on these things. I can say it may take me a while to get the hang of it.

Most of the animations are in xanim and xsysms they way they move, block, jump turn etc you can take those raw animations from those files sometimes they work, sometimes they dont pretty much hit or miss really i have some 04 files as well i may try to use some dunks from that if i can.I cant remember how the dunks were back in 04 live but i'll add them and see what i can come up with but it will be just the raw animation i cant see whats in the aiact thats the sucky part

REF JOEY CRAWFORD UPDATE
Ok guess im back doing work early,Heres Referee Joey Crawford and i plan on doing some commentators on the side such as Steve kerr and Van Gundy and maybe Marv Albert if possible.but how come his arms show up like that?I've only changed his cyberface.fsh???And i imported it back into the .viv
am i suppose to use the cyberface in the sgsm folder only or import it back into the .viv anyone know?UPDATED:DONT WORRY ABOUT IT (Workaround&Fixed)
I'll remove these screenshots later and show the full complete version of how he looks.I had to do a workaround and extra steps and i see that it will be alot more working around needed in this game to get things done correctly. On to the next step!!(Other Referee Cyberfaces,Steve Kerr,Van Gundy Next)
