Heat sign new GM Brent Lane
The Miami Heat have signed new GM Brent Lane, sources tell us. Brent Lane has never been a GM before, so this is an interesting move. Lane graduated from Wichita State with a degree in Sports Management. We're looking forward to what he'll bring.

Heat Cut Forwards Hamilton, Williams
The Miami Heat have cut forwards Justin Hamilton and Reggie Williams. This comes just a few days before Miami will play FC Barcelona in the NBA Global Games. I'm sure we're all looking forward to that one! See you then!

FCB Shocks Miami

Image
Chris Bosh has lonely night as Heat fall to FCB
Bosh scores 5, Wade 17, the Heat bench 29 and what do you get? An upset loss to FC Barcelona. The Heat were 1-14 for 3, FCB was 7-8. The Heat can't give up leads like this and expect to survive in the NBA, they were up by 18 at half. Worst comes to worst, Shabazz Napier left the game with a sprained ankle in the 3rd quarter. Is this bad luck, or the start of something terrible?

Heat bounce back, destroy Real Madrid

Heat beat Real Madrid behind Wade's 39
Dwayne Wade had one of his best nights in recent memory, scoring 39 against Euroleague team Real Madrid. The Heat come off a tough loss to FC Barcelona, who rivals Real Madrid. Bosh added 19, and Chalmers had a career high 19 assists. Is everything clicking for this Heat team?

Boston loses close battle to Miami

The Heat rally in the 4th behind Chris Bosh to close out Celtics
Chris Bosh stepped up tonight with Dwayne Wade resting, scoring 34 points in 35 minutes. He also added 12 rebounds, as the Heat finished off the Celtics in the 4th quarter in a tight win. Bosh was 5-5 from 3, with 4 of them in the 4th quarter. The Heat shot 59% from the field, which is a team high since 2011. The Heat seem to be on fire at JUST the right time! Can they keep it going?

Pelicans go flying

Heat depth exposed as Wade, Bosh sit out.
Everyone knew the Heat weren't a team with amazing depth, but tonight, it really showed. Wade and Bosh both were sitting out for rest, and New Orleans took advantage, getting starters into quick foul trouble. The Heat, with only a 10 man rotation tonight, played everyone at least 10 minutes en route to the tough loss. The Heat will next be in action vs the Wizards for the season opener.

Heat open season with a win

The Wizards had an off night as the Heat win easily
Image
Player of the Game Luol Deng - 17 pts - 10 reb - 2 Ast - 4 Steals
Leading Scorer WAS - Nene - 23 - MIA - D. Wade - 26
Game Recap Miami was absolutely ON FIRE! Wade and Bosh added 26 and 25, Deng had a double double, and Washington shot under 35%! Everything went right for the Heat, and it's looking to be a great season!

On an off note, I'm done for tonight. More games soon!

Heat acquire Nene from Washington

Miami give up McRoberts, Birdman, 1st round pick for Nene, Gooden III
Miami was interested in trading McRoberts and they've finally done it. Nene scored 23 points vs the Heat in their last game and will now be in a Heat uniform. This is a great trade for a Heat. Are the Heat a championship caliber team now?

Player of the Game: Luol Deng - 29 pts, 10 reb
Leading Scorer - PHI - Nerlens Noel - 21 pts - 7 reb
Leading Scorer - MIA - Luol Deng - 29 pts - 10 reb
Game Recap: Dwayne Wade scores 3 points in 38 minutes, and what would you expect? A Heat loss, and well, against any other team, that probably would've happened. This goes to show that the 76ers are in a full rebuilding mode. Luol Deng recorded his second double-double of the year. New acquisition Nene scored 20 for the Heat, Norris Cole added 15 off the bench and rookie Shabazz Napier scored a career high 15 points. Wade added 11 assists to make up for his scoring drought. Chris Bosh scored 13 and pulled down 12 rebounds. Udonis Haslem added 4 rebounds with no points in 11 minutes. The Heat easily take the win, and gear up for their next game.
