Press Conference:

Kevin Parker

Media: It was an easy win for you guys. Did you see it coming?

Parker: Nah, I wouldn’t say that. We always go out there expecting we can compete and win the game, but you never know how things are going to play out. It was just good to come out on the right end of the score, and to not have come down to the wire like it has for us last game. Good win. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hill’s double-double leads Pacers past Cavs

The Indiana Pacers is still undefeatable as they go up 3-0 in the league.

The Pacers started out great as they shot 63% in the field in the 1st quarter. The Cavs however had a rough shooting night as they only shot 28% in the 1st quarter, obviously making them suffer in the long run as Indiana put on a 13-point lead in just the 1st quarter. But the Cavs seemed determined to finish the first half with the lead in their hands but their 9-2 run was stopped by Indiana and they only managed to chunk the lead to 5 going to the second half.
After the second half, it was a neck-to-neck battle as no team could gain a lead that’s larger than 2 points. But with only 2:44 remaining in the fourth, the Pacers looked upon point guard, Kevin Parker. The game was tied 94-94 and the Pacers badly needed a spark off the bench. Parker started the fourth quarter with a half-court pass to a running George for the emphatic slam but the Cavs answered back by a layup of their own.
As soon as the clock hit 1:24 with the Pacers leading by 3, the Cavs put on a show with their 3-point shooting. They shot two straight three-pointers but were cut short by Stephenson’s quick 3-pointer and Parker’s and-one opportunity. Parker missed the potential basket from the free throw line but he was saved by Hibbert as he grabbed the offensive rebound and smashed it through. The Pacers ended up with the win as they won by 7 points.

Player of the Game: George Hill
Leader:
Points: L. Deng (19)
Rebounds: R. Hibbert (14)
Assists: G. Hill (10)
Steals: C. J. Watson (3)
Blocks: R. Hibbert (2)

Press conference:

Media: It wasn’t a blowout, but you guys got the job done. Did you feel at any point tonight that the game was in doubt?

Parker: It felt like we had the game in hand for the most part. As we got closer to the end of the game, Coach was really getting on us to not let up and keep executing like we had been all game and I think we did that. We ran a few nice plays, and everyone was doing their job just like they were supposed to. It’s that kind of performance that really makes you feel like your team has a chance to do something special. Now it’s just a matter of keeping up that level of focus and execution over the long haul. We’ll see if we can get it done.

Update blog:

Hey, guys Kevin here!

It's been one hell of a week in the NBA. We're 3 games into the season with a clean record of 3-0 and while it's been a little difficult to adjust at times, it has been GREAT.

My teammates here in Indiana has been very welcoming to me specially the fans who congratulated me when I got drafted to their team.
Coach Frank has also been very supportive to me. He made plays just for me and he even gave me the “power” to make plays for my teammates now that they trust me.

I know you guys are upset because I didn't play as many minutes that I have accustomed to but here in the NBA, it's not like that. I need to work harder and contribute in the team because they need me to prove my worth.

You guys have also been supportive to me and I thank you for that.

Pacers lose for the first time in Detroit; 77-99

Leader:
Points: R. Stuckey (21)
Rebounds: A. Drummond & G. Monroe (14)
Assists: K. Parker (7)
Steals: A. Drummond (5)
Blocks: R. Hibbert (4)

Media: It can’t be easy to lose a game when you have such an all-around performance. What did you have to say to your team afterwards in the locker room?

Kevin Parker: Nothing much. I just talked to them about where we went wrong, and what we need to work on next game. Defensive intensity is one thing. Controlling the boards is another one. My own performance is irrelevant. It’s all about the team coming together and playing well enough to get the win. Tonight we didn’t play in a high enough level, and you saw the result.

Thats awesome you're getting the assists. I find that to be the hardest stat to get even though I play as a PG

Press Conference:

Media: You were really showcasing your passing skills out there tonight, getting double digits assists for the first time in your career. What was your game plan going in that led you setting up your teammates so well?

Parker: Our offense just had a really good rhythm tonight. When guys got open, I worked hard to give them the ball. We also have been spending time in off-ball movements and setting good screens. I’m really glad it paid off.

Well, 2k14 has the twitter thing and those legends like Payton, Magic Johnson and almost every living legend follows you everytime you do things that they have previously done, specifically the last game, I recorded many steals just like "The Glove" has been doing for almost his entire career.

So, a lot of you have been asking questions and I have picked the top three voted questions and I will answer it as honest as possible.

First question: So far, who is your favorite teammate?
- My answer to that would be Paul George. He has been very supportive to me and he gladly welcomed me to Indiana, which is great.

Second question: What is your daily schedule?

- First, I get up at 6 o’clock sharp in the morning then I brush my teeth and go jogging until 7. After that, Romero my chef, cooks me high-protein meals and a glass of mango shake. At 8 to 3 o’clock, I go to the neighborhood and challenge street players to a pickup game on my way to the gym. After the gym, I go to my house and open the flat screen TV that my agent bought recently and boot up NBA 2K14 where I play until 6:30 and eat when I wake up. That’s basically it, Wake up-Jog-Eat-Play-Gym-2k-Sleep-Repeat.

3rd Whose player did you not like guarding?

- Well, it’s hard to tell right now but I would say it is Kyrie Irving. Kyrie is just too fast for me and he also has a wider offensive arsenal that can fry you at any time.
