Author's Notes 03/11/2013
Hey guys! After a little hiatus from NLSC, I'm back. School has been killing me lately with what seems like an endless array of assignments and midterms over the last month and a half or so. Now that they are done, I am finally able to committ to playing 2K14 haha.
I will be choosing the Cleveland Cavaliers for this Association. As one of the youngest teams in the NBA, I believe they offer an intriguing rebuilding and development angle, without being overly boring to play with (i.e. Orlando/Philly). Kyrie Irving is headed for superstardom, (and is down right fun to play with, with 2K's new dribbling controls) and Andrew Bynum is an overpowered beast, as usual. The selling point, for me, is the front court tandem of Tristan Thompson and Anthony Bennett (I'm Canadian). And finally, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't planning on maybe bringing somebody back in the upcoming offseason...
I am currently undecided as to what form of "story-telling" I will use. But I will figure something out.
Just to keep things somewhat realistic, I will try to abide by the following guidelines:
- No more than 3 trades in a season.
- Said trades must occur between December & Feburary (unless proposed by opposing teams)
- Trades will be kept as realistic as possible
- I may tinker with opposing player contracts to create storylines, however, this will be kept to a minimum.
While on the topic of trades, I hate to label players "untouchable" but barring an extreme change of heart, I'll be hard-pressed to give up Irving, Bennett or Thompson for the aforementioned reasons.
Let's start cooking with gas... I give you, WINE & GOLD UNITED
