Good call not pulling the trigger on the Josh Smith deal, as I said I don't think it'll workout (and for the guys that said small ball....I dont think Dirk can run the floor like a Amare etc.... )

Love the user comments  :applaud:

Valor, I don't know if it could work out but right now I don't like Smith's package on offense enough to get him. He's not a typical pick n roll player.

Well guys, yesterday I wanted to watch some episodes on my PS3 and woops - ylod again. I will have to try to fix it again, but I don't know how often you can do that. So this one might be on hold.

If I don't get my PS3 running again, I might have to get 2k13 for CPU. We'll see. So far - on hold until I have time to fix it. (maybe today or tomorrow, not sure)

I must be a bad omen. I come back and YLOD returns.

Wow, bad luck again with the YLOD. (N) Hope you get that fixed soon enough.

I think it's a good thing you didn't bring Smith in. He may have upgraded your defense but would have given your offense a step back. Love the addition of Lamrock in your recent article.

Okay guys, It looks like the following now:

I havent yet managed to fix my ps3, but I got myself 2k13 for my new PC that I had gotten on Christmas (a gaming PC, I own one for the first time since ten years)

And wow, this game looks ten times better on my PC and is somehow more fun to play.

The next thing: I looked for some patches here and the work is awesome. Being able to patch a game has always been what I loved about NBA live when I was still on PC. This makes the game even more enjoyable.

Further I got my PS3 controller working with my PC, giving me the same control I have on console.

So it looks like I will sell 2k13 for PS3 and when I have fixed my PS3 I will only use it for watching film until it gets broken again. Then I might sell it.

That's the plan. That means that this Dynasty story will find an end way too soon.

BUT, I would come back even better - better screens (it's also easier to take them via FRAPS than with my camera), more movies from the game, cooler rookies (I found fictional draft classes in the forum with nice faces and stuff).

So what do you think? Would it be better to go for PC?

Martti., you're on PC right? Have you expierenced anything that you think could be worse than on console? Do you use patches?

I think I only have draft classes as patches in 2K13, back in my Live days I had tons of patches. Might get some jersey and court patches, like the Lakers court and Christmas jerseys. Also have to change Parsons's CF, doesn't look much like him with the default face.

And since I haven't played 2K yet on console, can't make a comparison. Also using a PS controller, doesn't seem to have any drawbacks on PC, except no VC and no All-Star Saturday events.

But the plethora of patches and Fraps for screenshots makes PC easier to use for stories.

I've not played any 2K game on the PS3, but comparing the 360 and PC, it is pretty similar once you configure your own controls

Go with PC. Once REDitor comes out, you'll be able to use NBA Stats Tracker to get really detailed analysis done for you, like I had in my (short-lived) Association story back in 2K12: viewtopic.php?f=73&t=87164

Okay guys, thanks for your advice. I will definitely start a D on PC soon, but not sure when exactly as I have to write my BA thesis, too. Should be possible to find some time though.

Here a lil foretaste of the pics you can expect (I am thrilled because I havent owned a good PC for like ten years - now I can run every game on top details)

Okay, thanks guys. I will start on PC soon. Looking for some more patches and also I might have to wait until my PS3 is fixed cuz I want my old sliders and cannot remember them at all. But maybe I will find out by playing some 4 minutes per quarter games.

Apart from that, for sure I am going to run with Dallas again. My goal is to somehow get that 2nd ring for Dirk, something that is not most likely to happen in real life (except the Bank of Cuban lures in Dwight Howard or Chris Paul - as I said - unlikely)

This year, I wanted to go with my fav team, it's bad that I have to re-do and I have to admit there are a lot of attractive team, but I'll stay with my Mavs.
