It does seem you can put a lot of trust to Bosh, he hasn`t been failing you lately. Pretty sure, you will keep this momentum to the playoffs aswell. Who`s 8th in the Eastern Conference at this moment? Getting the Bobcats will be easier then getting the Knicks against :P

Last season, the Bobcats (#8) knocked out the #1 seed Celtics and took the Bucks to 7 games in the next round too, they won't be easy. :D

It could also be the Pistons, Bucks or the Knicks. Not sure who would be best for me, probably Detroit.

Haha I'm not worried about that, more like worrying about D-Rose's health and whether we are deep enough to go all the way this year

I still had a look at your franchise once in a while, but often i am to lazy to post. :D

So LeBron James is still with the Grizzlies in this one? :D You are so close to the playoffs, i hope you have a deep run to the finals. I guess you won't meet LeBron there, but who knows. :cheeky:

So good luck for the rest of the schedule. Go for 62 !

That would be an unbelievable Finals matchup if it was against the Grizz and Bron, though you would probably kill them if he's their only threat

They have some scorers next to him (Harrington, Crawford and Mayo), so you'll never know. They did blow me out in our meeting by almost 30, we won at home in a decisive manner though.

Wade, Bosh and Ibaka lead HEAT to 60th win

Dwyane Wade had put in another strong performance on his quest to the MVP trophy with 31 points and 12 assists and the HEAT were able to pick up a road-win against the Pacers, who are currently 3rd in the East.

The Heat got off to a quick start behind, surprisingly, Serge Ibaka. A member of the Spanish National team, Ibaka had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks in the first quarter, setting the tone both offensively and defensively.

Behind Ibaka, the HEAT quickly built a lead, 20-11. Chris Bosh was aggressive, drawing fouls and Wade got out in the open court and the HEAT were really clicking, leading by 13 points after the first quarter.

The second quarter was a more close battle. The HEAT started quickly with Bosh and Rudy Gay on the floor, and the lead blew up to 19. But the Pacers, with the help of key reserves Sebastian Telfair and Paul George, clawed their way back and went on a 14-4 run to close the quarter to trim their deficit to 9.

The third quarter was the Wade-Bosh show. Wade had 12 points and 6 assists while Bosh had 14. The two played well off the pick and roll, Bosh was posting up strong and making almost everything. And when he did miss, Serge Ibaka was there to clean it up.

The fourth quarter saw the HEAT lead by as many as 24 and with their second unit on the floor, the lead quickly shrunk to just 11. The starters returned with 7 minutes left and put the finishing touches on their 11th straight win.

Serge Ibaka had a career-night all across the board with minutes (37), made field goals (7) and blocks (9).

Bosh has really come into his own since the All-Star break. That snub really fueled him.
Before the game I bumped Ibaka's minutes by 4 and he truly delivered, a triple-double was also on my mind when I started. :D

vs ORL (43-35)
@ CHA (40-37)
vs CHI (56-21)
@ TOR (27-50)
vs ATL (35-43)

Will play the Bulls definitely, maybe the Cats too, a possible first round match-up. Bobcats in the Playoffs doesn't sound right though.

HEAT wins franchise best 62nd, secure top record in league with win over Chicago

The scorching hot Bobcats snapped Miami's 12-game winning streak and the HEAT had no time to rest, with the 2nd best team in the league in their building the very next night. In a high-scoring affair, the Heat out-battled their conference rivals for a 131-123 win, snapping the Bulls 7-game win streak.

This win marks the HEAT's 62nd win of the season, a new franchise record. (The HEAT won 61 during the 96-97' season) It also means, they have secured a big enough lead for the best record in the league.

The Bulls had trouble very early on, as one of their key players and top defenders Luol Deng picked up two fouls in 56 seconds trying to stop Dwyane Wade. Tayshaun Prince got an extended run and was solid defensively, but the Bulls really missed their third leading scorer.

Wade had 5 rebounds, 3 assists in the first quarter next to his 10 early points, 6 of them coming from the foul line.

Both teams were scoring very well as well as going to the line. The Bulls had 17 fouls shots and the Heat had 15 in the first half. Wade and Rose both scored 16 points the first half.

Wade would go on to score 37, while fellow MVP candidate Derrick Rose had just 2 points the rest of the way. He did contribute, with 11 2nd half assists.

To start the second half, the Heat out-scored the Bulls 12-2 to build an 11-point lead. The Bulls would answer with their own run, 14-4 and the game stayed close.

Dwyane Wade picked up his 4th foul at the mid-point of the third quarter and would sit for the rest of the quarter and during his absence, points were hard to come by. Rudy Gay and Kyrie Irving took charge, with Irving distributed with 5 assists in those 6 minutes and Gay had 12 straight points.

Wade came back in to start the fourth and picked up his 5th foul with just over a minute gone by. Spoelstra wanted to take him out, but Wade wouldn't come to the bench, saying he'll play on. And indeed he did. He scored 15 points the rest of the way, while also defending Derrick Rose, who was held scoreless during the final 12 minutes.

The HEAT closed the game scoring the final 6 points, all from the foul line and a potential preview of the Conference Finals was over. The HEAT won the season series 3-1.

Wade had his foul troubles, but they weren't as bad as Luol Deng had. With 2 early fouls, he sat for the entire first quarter and picked up his third with just 46 seconds gone by in the 2nd. He picked up his fourth with 3 minutes gone by in the third. He was able to finally play and score in the fourth, with all of his 9 points.

The HEAT have 2 games left, Atlanta and Toronto. Whether the starters get those games off, will remain to be seen.

Box Score

Yup, the Bobcats are suddenly streaking. I thought I would face them in the first round, but they were 7th the last time I checked and couldn't drop to 8.

Boozer was a killer with his mid-range jumpers, even Ibaka couldn't slow him down. Luckily, I kept Rose under bay and Deng had his foul trouble.

That would be a nice 2v2. I've gotta see Jersey's full team to make a prediction though.

Wade hits game-winner in thriller game #1

The HEAT entered the Playoffs as the clear-cut favorites, winning 64 games during the regular season and having MVP front-runner Dwyane Wade playing the best ball of his career.

But the Nets, who acquired Dwight Howard in a mid-season trade, shocked them in game #1 and it took Wade's game-winner to give the HEAT 1-0 advantage on their home floor.

The HEAT came out very weak, missing shots, not executing well, while the Nets ceased every opportunity. The Nets built a huge lead early on, leading 28-11. The HEAT scored the final 4 points of the quarter to trim the deficit to 13.

The HEAT shot 30% in the first quarter and had 6 turnovers. Chris Bosh was held scoreless.

During the 2nd quarter, with the bench in the game, the HEAT started to cut the deficit. Jimmer Fredette had 6 quick points, Rudy Gay played with the second unit and took the playmaker role. Ben Wallace, who had been inactive for most of the year, came in and provided a big boost defensively.

Wade had 9 points in the second quarter and the HEAT were back within 6.

In the third, the HEAT got back quickly and took the lead behind Bosh, who had 12 points. With a 14-6 run completed at the 7-minute mark, the HEAT took their first lead of the game, 64-62.

The HEAT built that lead and led by as much as 12.

But the Nets had another run in them. The HEAT led by 5 with less then a minute to go after Rudy Gay's dunk. Terrence Williams knocked down a three to trim it to just 2 points.

Wade was quickly fouled and he made both shots behind a chorus of "MVP" from the crowd. The Nets didn't call a time-out with 22 left after the free throws, catching the HEAT off guard and drove all the way to the bucket for a big dunk over Serge Ibaka, drawing a foul in the process. He made the shot to narrow the margin to just 1 point, 116-115.

Wade was fouled again, but this time he missed the first free throw, leaving the Nets a chance to tie or even win with 10 seconds left. As Williams was coming down the court, Wade was going for the steal, but fouled the All-Star PG. Williams knocked down both, tying the game with 5 seconds left.

This was MVP time. Wade caught in the inbounds pass on the left, calling a clear-out. Wade was 1-1 with Williams, drove left as he was going to the hoop, did a step-back move, getting separation from Williams and knocked down an open jumper, leaving the Nets with 0.4 seconds and no time-outs. Williams caught the inbounds pass, but couldn't get a full-court heave off before the buzzer sounded.

This New Jersey Nets team looks really strong with Dwight Howard in the paint. I think the first game is often the toughest to win, but D Wade made it happen. Interesting to see if this series stays close or if you can take the reins.

This seems like a closer match-up than a 1-8 with NJ having both Dwight and Deron. Thank god Wade saved you, you might be in a little bit of a pickle with this Nets team
