Neither team led by more then 8 points during the first three quarters, but the Heat went on a 17-4 run in the fourth quarter to pull out a 111-94 win over the visiting Celtics, beating them for the 2nd time this season.

Coming off their first loss of the season against the visiting Jazz, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, who shot just 13-31 from the field and had 36 points betweeen the two in the loss, combined for 32 in the first half alone, with Wade scoring 20 of them. LeBron had 12 with 4 rebounds and 6 assists.

Chris Bosh had a season-high 15 rebounds along with his 20 points.

Ray Allen scored 19 points in the first half, but was held to just 4 points in the second. There were 12 lead changes and 9 ties during the first three quarters, but LeBron James scored 16 of his 33 in the fourth quarter, a period when the Heat outscored the Celtics 32-20.

Kyle Korver knocked down his only three-pointer to cap off the Heat 17-4 run. He finished with 10 points on 3-10 shooting after missing his first 5 shots.

The Heat will continue their home stretch as the Raptors come to town, Chris Bosh's first game against his former team

King Dee, yeah, but he doesn't seem to be affected by it. He really thrives under pressure. (@ Cle, @ MSG)

In honor of Joel Anthony's superb defensive game last night, here's his highlight against the C's. A night that included 8 points and 3 rebounds :

Valor, yeah, 2 games out of 619. Plus in game #6, he had 27-19-10 so it's more like 1 game.

fixed...he def had more than 2 over his career....

Anyhow, what you were saying was in pressure situations, so the biggest games of their season has to count more than the regular season games, yes?

That game 6, he played for stats, not to win...if he made the right plays to try and win he wouldn't have ended up with nearly a quad? (in case you don't get the quad....his 9 T.Os)

I'll agree that he is a beast in blowout games, against weak opponents and especially owns little midget point guards that are barely 6 foot, but that's about it

Back on topic, love that Joel Anthony vid (Y)

Fantastic presentation as usual, but I still hate your team. Imminent schedule looks favorable, so I expect you to improve to 12-1. Aiming for 70?

I don't agree with that statement, but I don't want to get into this anymore. I would have quit too, if my teammate was doin my mom. And just to clarify, Miami is 1) D-Wade, 2) LeBron.

Thanks. I'll probably have to trade LeBron to get more positive feedback regarding my roster. 70? Not sure, we'll see. If LeBron or D-Wade goes down, it will be tough.

Thanks Thierry and King Dee for the positive replies. :)

NLSC Rookies?

Do liven this up a bit and add the touch which made my Heat and Bucks dynasties popular, I'm thinking of adding NLSC-ers into this too, in the 2011 draft alongside Harrison Barnes and Kylie Irving.

At first you'll draft stock will by #30-45, but you can build that up. I'll have a Playoff prediction game and just if you are active with replies, you can bump it up.

I'll add 10 this year, maybe some next year. So far, I'll add :

Sit
Lamrock
Thierry
Valor
Hova
Clutch
Cartar
George7
King Dee
dare

If any of you want to be in or out, let me know. :)

Yeah, That's why I went back on-topic

Have to edit one thing though.......

----> Miami is 1) D-Wade, 2) Joel Anthony. 3) Whoever, LeBron If you wish :P

Def interested in the Draft, but hope you make the prediction games simple and plain 'cause I like to read about in-game events, recaps and so on without having to have premonitions beforehand

Thanks. That dunk was even nastier then it looks on the picture. Rondo had both legs outside the restricted area and James still threw it down. About the info, not right now, I'll let you know when I'm taking infos. :)

Heat acquire former Heat Barron in Orlando-Phoenix mega-deal

Image Image Image

The Orlando Magic, Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns have agreed to a 8-player deal, which will send Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus, Marcin Gortat, Jamaal Magloire and Orlando's 2012 1st round pick to the Suns, Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu and Earl Clark to the Magic and Earl Barron to the Heat.

Miami's inclusion was purely financial, as Jamaal Magloire's minimum contract is non-guaranteed.

Miami gets former Heat player Earl Barron, who won the championship with the team back in 2006. Barron has appeared in just 2 games with the Suns, despite scoring 7 points in the second game of the season.

"We’re very excited to welcome these three players to our family," said Otis Smith, GM of the Orlando Magic. "Jason (Richardson) is a tremendous athlete who runs the floor, can shoot the ball and loves to compete. We’re obviously familiar with Hedo (Turkoglu). He is a great shooter and is a player that has flourished in our system. We liked Earl (Clark) in the draft a few years ago, and he will help fortify our frontcourt. Vince (Carter), Marcin (Gortat) and Mickael (Pietrus) did a lot for our organization and we wish them great success in the future."

The Magic are apparently not done dealing, as they have engaged in trade discussions with the Wizards about Gilbert Arenas. Arenas is currently out with a knee injury and can't be involved in a deal before he's back.

Brakedown :

Orlando

Trade : Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat, Mickael Pietrus, a 2012 first-round pick (ORL) and cash considerations.
Get : Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu and Earl Clark

    Projected Starting line-up :

    C - Dwight Howard
    PF - Brandon Bass
    SF - Rashard Lewis
    SG - Jason Richardson
    PG - Jameer Nelson

Phoenix

Trade : Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu, Earl Barron and Earl Clark
Get : Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat, Mickael Pietrus, Jamaal Magloire, 2012 first-round pick (ORL) and cash considerations.

    Projected Starting line-up :

    C - Marcin Gortat
    PF - Hakim Warrick
    SF - Josh Childress
    SG - Vince Carter
    PG - Steve Nash

Miami

Trade : Jamaal Magloire
Get : Earl Barron

    Projected Starting line-up :

Chalmers to start for Heat

Image

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra announced a rotation change before the match-up with the Suns, as reserve Mario Chalmers will start against the Suns.

"If it works out, we will keep him in the starting line-up. He has been very good off the bench and I think he deserves a shot," said Spoelstra during Heat's practice.

During the last 3 games, Chalmers has averaged 10 points, while Arroyo has scored just 7 points total in that stretch.

Chalmers is averaging 5.7 points and 3.0 assists off the bench for the season, while the starter, Carlos Arroyo, has averaged 2.6 points and 3.3 assists in 10 games.
