Noah, Bulls hand HEAT first loss in the Playoffs

Dwyane Wade received his first MVP trophy in front of his home fans, but the evening would be spoiled by the visitors, who handed the home team their first loss in the Playoffs.

The HEAT got off to a hot start, perhaps spurred on by the MVP trophy presentation ceremony and they quickly grabbed an early lead. Derrick Rose picked up 2 fouls in the first 4 minutes, which resulted in just 14 first-quarter points. The Bulls played great defense as well, as the HEAT 'only' a 7-point lead, despite clearly out-playing the visitors.

Kyrie Irving posterized Shaquille O'Neal to start the second quarter and the HEAT built up a 12-point lead. The rest of the way displayed more efficient offense and no big spurts either way as the HEAT held quite a secure, 8-point lead.

The Bulls started to climb back in the second half with their game-play seeming to be stopping anyone else and allowing the HEAT's two big scorers, Wade and Bosh, get theirs. This worked in the third, as the Bulls narrowed the deficit to just 3.

In the fourth, The HEAT played more one-on-one, and it didn't always work out. The HEAT had just 17 assists, despite averaging nearly 27 a game in the Playoffs.

The HEAT held a 3-point lead with just over a minute to go and had the possession. Rudy Gay missed a wide-open three and the Bulls would tie the game on the next possession, as Leo Lai knocked down his third three. Lai had a woeful shooting night, but didn't hesitate to knock that down.

Dwyane Wade was stripped of the ball by Derrick Rose, who would spurt down the other end, but was tuend back by Dwyane Wade.Joakim Noah ran the floor as well, picked up the loose ball and converted an and-1 lay-up with just 4 seconds left, giving the Bulls a thee-point lead.

The HEAT tried to get the ball to Jimmer Fredette or Rudy Gay, but Rudy Gay got the ball with about a second left and his desperation shot didn't fall.

Bulls steal game #2 behind a 40-point fourth quarter

The Bulls accomplished something many expected wasn't feasible - winning both games in Miami and taking a 2-0 lead back to the United Center after beating the HEAT 109-103.

The biggest key to the game were turnovers, as the HEAT racked up 23 turnovers to 21 assists which resulted in 19 steals for the Bulls and 14 fewer shots for the home team.

The HEAT shot 94% from the charity stripe and 49% from the field, besting Chicago in both categories (85%, 46%).

At half-time, the HEAT looked to be in control as they shot 55% from the field and out-rebounded the Bulls by 6, resulting in an 11-point lead.

The Bulls only got 3 points and 4 assists from Derrick Rose in the second half, but that wasn't a problem as CJ Watson scored all of his 13 points in the second half and Carlos Boozer had 19 of his 28 in the latter half.

The HEAT held a 77-69 lead, but consecutive misses and mistakes from MVP Dwyane Wade helped the Bulls to a 13-4 run, taking their first lead of the game with 8.19 left, 82-81.

Dwyane Wade got more and more frustrated as he was knocked down hard on the floor, but no fouls were called in his favor. He missed 6 consecutive shots in the fourth quarter, something very uncharacteristic for the MVP.

The Bulls would go on a hot streak, shooting 71% in the fourth quarter and getting easy fastbreak buckets. The HEAT looked lost in the end, missing easy shots and getting confused defensively. Chris Bosh held the fort for the HEAT, scoring 12 points in the fourth quarter, but the struggles of Wade really showed.

Will have to try out 2K13. Didn't like 2K12, that's why I carried on with this. From what I've seen though 2K13 looks very good.

Yeah if the previews are any indication it's going to be great. 2K12 was a flop IMO :?

Haslem chips in when needed, HEAT grab game #3

Losing both games on their home floor, the Heat needed some changes. It hasn't been a poor start, it has been the way they finish games.

A poor start wasn't a problem in this game either, as the HEAT jumped off to a 13-2 start. But the lead wouldn't last long as the Bulls followed that up with a 16-7 spurt. The HEAT would slowly start to build their lead in the first half, leading by as much as 12 in the first half.

Derrick Rose was due to have a big game and had 16 points and 6 assists in the first half.

Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem scored 16 of Miami's 18 third-quarter points. Haslem added 9 more points in the fourth quarter while Bosh to start the fourth quarter.

The HEAT build a 15-point lead in the third quarter for a moment and regained that in the fourth and sealed the win way before the final buzzer.

Jimmer Fredette hit Miami's only three-pointer with a minute to go in the game, the HEAT were 0-10 before that shot.

Miami was able to keep their turnovers down, but in the end, whilst holding a double-digit lead, they got sloppy and committed 5 in a short time, totaling 11 for the game. They also got to the line for 15 more attempts then Chicago, out-scoring them 23-10 from the line.

Got 2K13 as well, but I left my controller in my dorm room, won't get to play properly til Sunday, been using the keyboard so far. I think I'm gonna finish this season and move to 2K13 with either Miami or Denver.

Wade struggles, Gay and Ibaka deliver game #4 win.

Dwyane Wade had just 6 points through three quarters, but he had a lot of help. Serge Ibaka had a double-double and Rudy Gay had 23 points by halftime, leaving Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh score 16 of their 34 in the fourth quarter.

Luol Deng had been bothered by an injury the whole series, but was locked and loaded from the start, scoring the first 7 points of the game. Because of the injury, coach Thibodeau is limiting him to 6-minute stints, most unusual for Deng, who averages a league-leading 39 minutes per game.

The Bulls would hold a slender lead throughout the first half.

The second half started the same way, with Luol Deng scoring twice in a row. But Rudy Gay and James Jones had key baskets and after Serge Ibaka delivered yet another dunk, the Heat took their first lead of the game, 58-57.

James Jones would score 5 more points in the third and Ben Wallace had a big putback dunk to finish the third quarter with the Bulls holding a 1-point lead.

Dwyane Wade finally found his range, scoring 8 points to start the fourth. At the 5.06 mark, the Heat would go on a 8-0 run in the next 1.13, to grab a 6-point lead.

The lead would stay six after Kyrie Irving made two free throws with 27 seconds to go and the game looked like it was over.

The Bulls ran a pick-and-roll and Derrick Rose found a wide open Tayshaun Prince from deep to trim the lead to 3. The Heat had trouble inbounding and Joakim Noah intercepted the inbound pass, leaving them 13 seconds to tie game.

Derrick Rose caught the pass and puled up staright away. Joakim Noah collected the miss and passed it out to Tayshaun Prince. He tried to create some space on Rudy Gay, but couldn't get a good look and missed the game-tying shot.

Wade and Gay deliver clutch dunks, Heat grab game #5.

Serge Ibaka had another big night for the HEAT as the Bulls focused on Bosh and Wade and the HEAT had key stops late to take a 3-2 lead.

The game started with both teams missing their shots, as the Bulls put the first points on the board with 8.50 left in the first and the HEAT got their first points on Bosh's free throws with 7.55 remaining.

Dwyane Wade was hot in the first half, as he made all of his 8 field goals for 17 first half points. Ibaka had 9 points and 6 rebounds with 4 blocks while Kyrie Irving had 9 first half assists. Carlos Boozer had 10 points at the half.

The HEAT jumped out to a 11-point lead after a solid first 6 minutes in the third quarter, capping a 16-6 run was Mario Chalmers with his only field goal, a three-pointer from the quarter.

With the HEAT seemingly in control for the next 15 minutes and holding a lead throughout. But the Bulls had a big run in them, as they had a 15-6 run to grab a 91-88 lead with 3.35 left in the game. With a minute left, the score was tied at 94.

Rudy Gay struggled with his shot the whole game and was just 4-20 from the field, but took it strong to the rack for a vicious, two-handed dunk over Joakim Noah. With the free throw, the lead was at 3.

Derrick Rose was blocked by Serge Ibaka on the other end and Wade dribbled the clock as long as he could, before he drove past Leo Lai and dunked on Derrick Rose for another and-1 dunk, giving them a 6-point lead.

Chris Bosh iced the game at the line after Prince made a quick jumper.
