Well that was unsatisfying. We got bounced by the Magic in the sixth game of the Eastern Conference Finals by allowing them to take four times as many free throws as us. In any case, we're out of the playoffs and I've got my offseason to look ahead to. I've got a poll on my My Player blog, but I'll ask here too. What should I do?
Do I leave for a team I can be the leader of, if the opportunity arises? Do I leave for just anywhere, to get out of Wade and LeBron's shadow? Do I bolt for my hometown Cavs if they come calling, and try to save them from themselves? Or do I have unfinished business here in Miami? I'm looking for two things right now: a ring and good fodder for my blog.
This season was good for the blog fodder as I clashed with LeBron and Wade a few times (my best season was my Magic one in NBA 2K10 - I got mad at most all of my teammates at one point or another, the coach went overboard with the 'go small' concept and played 4 points guards at once, I anointed my mates with nicknames like Dwight "Moe" Howard and Vince "Half Man, Half Defensive Sieve" Carter, and ultimately I won the title and got Finals MVP). A tougher situation could be interesting, but nothing saps my desire to play and post like constant losing (such as during my 2K10 stint with the Reno Bighorns). I simmed the off season as a test (in a backup save) and got offers from the Bulls, Rockets, Kings and Heat. The Bulls would be a bad mix because I'm not content with sitting behind Rose - and sit I would. The Rockets have Aaron Brooks a point and the oft injured Yao. The Kings have some young guns but no real pg - a bonus for me, but could we win? The Heat and I nearly made the NBA Finals and would be heavy favorites this coming year. Which way - if those options were the three presented - should I take?
