The "How is your Dynasty/Franchise going" Thread

Postby Axel The Great on Fri Jul 30, 2010 2:47 am

I got permission from Andrew to make this thread. 2K section has this thread, so why not have one for Live. Basically, for those of you who are too lazy to write a dynasty story or don't have enough time to make one, you can discuss your dynasties here. Also, those writing a dynasty story can discuss your stories here, if you'd like.

Thought about making a topic like this. Glad someone did. :)

Started a Kings dynasty in Live 08 with updated rosters. Used the CPU's trade logic to get Wesley Johnson for Dalembert. Also traded Ime Udoka to Atlanta for Jordan Crawford (Atlanta offered the deal).

I sim most of the games, only use those sim interventions when there's 24 secs to go with he game tied. (hit 3 game-winners with Evans).

Didn't make the Playoffs, off-season is next. I'll keep you updated. Heat won the title!!

Season-ending line-up:

C - Cousins/Whiteside
F - Landry/Thompson
F - Casspi/Crawford
G - Johnson/Garcia
G - Evans/Udrih

I started a dynasty with the T-Wolves in Live 10, but I sim all the games :D . I can't remember all the moves I did, but I acquired Jamal Crawford from Atlanta during the season. I got a blow to the balls in the off-season, with the worst record in the league, I had the 4th pick in the draft! I think I drafted a SF who was projected of going 6th overall, but when I scouted him, I couldn't refuse the urge to draft him. In an off-season trade, I acquired Rip Hamilton for back-up to Jamal Crawford (yeah, the game always puts the higher overall in a position as starter, but I didn't feel like putting Jamal back on the bench), and I signed JJ Redick. So far here's my lineup (we've missed the playoffs 2 seasons in a row and currently 1-4, yikes!):

C Al Jefferson/Chuck Hayes
PF Kevin Love/Rookie PF
SF Corey Brewer/Ryan Gomes/Rookie SF
SG Jamal Crawford/JJ Redick/Rookie SG
PG Jonny Flynn/Rookie SG

1st season we went 24-58, second season we improved and went 36-46. I managed to dump Rip Hamilton's huge contract, I can't remember for what. I might have to come back and edit this post to fix my lineup, but it's pretty accurate as of now. Also note: The Rookie players in my lineup, some of them are sophs, it's just I call the game-generated players rookies for some reason.

EDIT: I still have Rip Hamilton, I traded Ryan Gomes for Chuck Hayes and a generated PF, because I desperately needed backup for Love and Big Al.

I used the Nets in a Franchise. Which in itself is stupid as anything.
I simmed the whole season without any trades (11-61 record), got the second overall draft pick and drafted an 88-overall PF!! He could shoot, dunk, pass, steal, AND block really well. I made a few trades, and took the 1st pick (86 overall PG) from Minnesota and the 5th pick from Philadelphia (83/84? overall SF). I swapped Brook Lopez (79 overall because of an injury) to CHA for Tyson Chandler (81 overall) and then completely ripped off Phoenix and took J-Rich. I had a shitty bench, but I simmed right up until the playoffs, MADE the playoffs and was 6th in the East! I played the playoffs but lost to Dallas in the Finals.

Weird things happen in Live 2003...

Stickied for convenience.

I haven't played my NBA Live 06 Bulls Dynasty for a few days (hence the lack of updates) but I am still enjoying it especially after the trades I've made, so I expect I'll be playing some more games soon. I'm hoping to get through another season before NBA Elite 11 comes out and if there's time, sim and intervene through another season or two.

I purchased NBA Live 06 off eBay and I really want to get another dynasty started with that. Might wait until a roster update comes though since I have a few ideas already to who I want to use in the 2010-2011 season.

Glad someone made this thread :) I played with a couple of teams and I'm enjoying the Knicks, Wizards and Lakers. Did not make any trades yet just want to know how I'm going to use these teams in another dynasty.

Right now I'm just waiting for Andrew's Roster and I might do another dynasty if I got the time.

In a couple of my dynastys with the 06 rosters i'm proud to say that in nba live 07 i've turned Rudy Gay and gerald green into outside stoppers, something that i always wanted to do. In my portland dynasty i simulate all of my games and i've won only 2 nba championships, its getting deep in years. Brandon Roy and Lamarcus Aldridge i believe now are at least 30 years old, i'm still training them though because i want them to become highflyers, Brandon Roy is my main target as i have turned him into an outside scorer and at least an outside stopper. I've turned Lamarcus Aldridge into a highflyer and his speed was at least 80.

So far I am with my Kings dynasty. I'm rebuilding currently rebuilding around my core "Tyreke Evans". I did lots of trades so here we go.

I traded Andres Nocioni and my 1st round pick to Phoenix for Amare Stoudamire.
I traded Carl Landry to Memphis for OJ Mayo.
I traded Beno Udrih to Washington for Mike Miller.
I traded Mike Miller to Detroit for Tayshaun Prince.
I signed Von Wafer to a 2 year 9.67 mil deal.
I signed Jerome James to a 2 year 4.43 mil deal.
I signed DJ Strawberry to a 1 year 487 k deal.

So here's my roster.

C. Jason Thompson (75)
PF. Amare Stoudamire (87)
SF. Omri Casspi (75)
SG. OJ Mayo (82)
PG. Tyreke Evans (83)

6. Francisco Garcia (75) (SF)
7. Von Wafer (74) (SG)
8. Donte Green (72) (SF)
9. Jerome James (68) (C)
10. Tayshaun Prince (76) (SF)
11. DJ Strawberry (65) (SG)
12. Sean Singletary (64) (PG)

My current record is 25-24. It's tough winning but Stoudamire, Evans, and Mayo are getting the job done. Stoudamire is my leading scorer averaging 25 PPG with 9 RPG. Tyreke with 15.6 PPG with 8.3 APG. Then Mayo with 20.3 PPG. Jason is Doing a good job with the boards averaging 10.6 RPG. I am extremely impressed with my supproting cast. Tayshaun Averaging 10.5 PPG. Von having 7.8 PPG. Jerome with 6.6 RPG. And Singletary with 5.5 APG. I am playing on 8 MPG BTW ;)

Do a new dynasty with OKC Thunder in Live 08. I rebuild a team.
C: Kendrick Perkins
PF: Jeff Green
SF: Kevin Durant
SG: Ray Allen
PG: Russel Westbrook

Danny Granger
Derrick Rose
Eric Maynor
Trenton Hussel
Marvin Williams
Donte Greene
James Harden
Mustafa Shakur

In first season I miss the playoffs, with 44-38, now I play second season and I am first in east with 31-9

I'd start Rose and Granger and have Allen and Westbrook come off the bench.

Ratings are not important for me. I prefer Rose and Danny too.

I know, but in previous season Granger and Rose was a starters. He combined for only 20 ppg and 9 apg.. 15ppg Danny and 5ppg Rose. Russel and Ray now combined for 35ppg and 14 apg.

I'm surprised Westbrook is rated so high. I've got Westbrook at 79 and Rose at 86 in my rosters.

But Rose is the Rookie of the year !!!!!!1111

Honestly, in every video game Rose owns Westbrook, would not be like this in RL though.

Yeah, because Westbrook plays defense, and Rose doesn't.
