It may look like the Cavaliers have had their way against Charlotte during the season with their 3-1 advantage but looks can be deceiving. All 4 games were decided by an average of 5 points which says a lot about how evenly matched these teams are.
Cleveland will continue to look for their superstar LeBron James to lead them back to the promised land which is the NBA Finals. James' play this postseason shows how much he wants to win the championship but it would take more than one man to achieve that goal. It can also be noted that their only loss to Charlotte was when he didn't suit up due to injury.
Meanwhile, the Bobcats are relying on their high-flying tandem of Gerald Wallace and Jason Richardson to get them over the defending Eastern Conference Champions. Richardson leads them in scoring with 21.8 ppg while Wallace's defense has been a huge lift for his team. Third year forward Emeka Okafor is also playing well, averaging a double-double in the playoffs with 11.1 ppg and 11.1 rpg.
The Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers have a chance to renew their old rivalry which started during the 1999-00 season. Back then it was a Chris Webber and Mike Bibby led Kings that battled Shaquille O'Neal and a young Kobe Bryant. Today the cast of characters may have changed but bad blood still runs between the two teams.
Sacramento hopes to avenge their three playoff exits against the Lakers with a lineup led by Ron Artest, Brad Miller and Kevin Martin. Artest have gone away from his crazy antics while Miller has provided the veteran guidance the team needed and Martin has proven time and time again why he is one of the NBA's premier scorers and has also added a passing game to his arsenal.
Back in LA, the addition of Pau Gasol has been a big help with the resurgence to one of the league's most successful franchises. Gasol has given the Lakers a great center to pivot their triangle offense and of course we can't forget about the reigning MVP Kobe Bryant. Bryant's leadership has really grown as his trust for his teammates also grew. He has proven to his critics that he knows how to distribute the ball by averaging career high in assists this season.
