if you start, you and Augustin will make the smallest back court duo ever
Southwest DivisionMemphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies is a young and talented team signing Rudy Gay to an extension means that he is the face of this franchise despite playing behind Zach Randolph. Randolph averages 19 PPG and 8 RPG last season. O.J Mayo struggles last season but managed to have a decent season, Hasheem Thabeet also had a nice rookie year who almost finished with a double-double season. Their no.5 pick Liam Washburn got all the attention this season as he will likely run this team because he is the only natural point guard on the team.
Projected Standings: 32 - 50
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:H.Thabeet|PF:Z.Randolph|SF:R.Gay|SG:O.Mayo|PG:L.Washburn|
Bench: |M.Gasol|A.Johnson|M.Daniels|D.Arthur|S.Young|M.Jaric|D.Carroll|Houston Rockets
The biggest news this season for the Houston Rockets is they resigned Tracy McGrady, after McGrady was hammered by injuries he still show signs of greatness in the last 5 games he play last season. Also returning this year is Yao Ming, Aaron Brooks is still improving and with a young and talented bench they might find themselves fighting for a playoffs spot.
Projected Standings: 40 - 42
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:M.Yao|PF:C.Landry|SF:S.Battier|SG:T.McGrady|PG:A.Brooks|
Bench: |T.Ariza|N.Batum|D.Andersen|C.Hayes|C.Budinger|J.Taylor|J.Flores|I.Vicente|New Orleans Hornets
They have a great season last year but it ended early in playoffs, they were knockout by the Lakers in the first round. Chris Paul is still the best point guard in the league. Emeka Okafor manage to play atleast 70 games and Peja Stojakovic seems to be back to his old form. The only problem is David West as he still struggles to play, he might find himself fighting for minutes against the second round pick rookie Martti Must who is averaging a double double in the pre-season. This team is very good if they manage to stay healthy.
Projected Standings: 50 - 32
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:E.Okafor|PF:D.West|SF:P.Stojakovic|SG:M.Peterson|PG:C.Paul|
Bench: |J.Posey|M.Must|I.Diogu|Q.Richardson|D.Collison|J.Wright|D.Songaila|M.Thorton|R.Kane|San Antonio Spurs
They almost made it back to the finals but age sure pay the price as they were out ran and out played by the Lakers in the Conference Finals. Tim Duncan is still consistent but injuries is now slowing him down. Antonio McDyess managed to became an Allstar but that doesn't mean he'll do it again this season. Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili needs to be more aggressive this season. Richard Jefferson is the key to this team's success if he proves that he can still play like an allstar.
Projected Standings: 45 - 37
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:A.McDyess|PF:T.Duncan|SF:R.Jefferson|SG:M.Ginobili|PG:T.Parker|
Bench: |R.Mason|R.Carney|D.Blair|G.Hill|K.Bogans|M.Hairston|I.Mahinmi|Dallas Mavericks
They done it again, best record in the season and also failed to reach the finals. There is nothing wrong with this team. Dirk Nowitzki is still a deadly player and Shawn Marion revives his career with this team. Jason Terry proves that he can run the team. Jason Kidd shows signs of slowing down but the Mavericks managed to robbed the Wolves, as they got Ricky Rubio and Corey Brewer. Adding this two young players they will have some energy guys off the bench in which they lack the most.
Projected Standings: 55 - 27
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:D.Nowizki|PF:S.Marion|SF:J.Howard|SG:J.Terry|PG:J.Kidd|
Bench: |R.Rubio|E.Dampier|C.Brewer|M.Bonner|K.Humpries|R.Beaubois|M.Carroll|O.Hunter|R.Medina|B.Bobby|

Northwest DivisionMinnesota Timberwolves
The second worst team last season, the young Minnesota Timberwolves have lots of troubles lately. Rumors about the team moving to Vegas and the lost of a nice player in Kevin Love. But some good luck has come to the team when they drafted John Wall as the no.1 pick also they made some offseason moves, Rick Kamla give Ricky Rubio and Corey Brewer to the Mavs for the veteran Jerry Stackhouse and they signed Udonis Haslem and Travis Outlaw. Al Jefferson is still the main man of this team and he needs to step up to bring this team to the next level. With a mix of veteran and young players this surely is an improve team.
Projected Standings: 35 - 47
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:A.Jefferson|PF:U.Haslem|SF:T.Prince|SG:J.Wall|PG:J.Flynn|
Bench: |T.Outlaw|R.Sessions|S.Dalembert|J.Stackhouse|J.Martin|T.Hansbrough|D.Favors|O.Pecherov|Portland Trailblazers
A disappointing season for the Portland Trailblazers, hammered by injuries they have fallen to the third worst record in the league. Brandon Roy and Lamarcus Aldrige has been out for the most of the season last year and Greg Oden so far is still inconsistent. So they decided to make a move trading Ron Artest for Oden. They also signed veteran big man Ben Wallace. They drafted sharpshooter Kenny Young as the no.4 pick also they managed to get DeMarcus Cousins in the second round. This team is hungry for the playoffs so don't be surprised if they have a major improvement.
Projected Standings: 45 - 37
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:D.Collison|PF:L.Aldrich|SF:R.Artest|SG:B.Roy|PG:A.Miller|
Bench: |R.Fernandez|K.Young|J.Bayless|B.Wallace|D.Cousins|M.Webster|P.Mills|J.Przybilla|J.Meeks|Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunders is composed of young and superb talents. Leading them is Kevin Durant who is quickly improving as a superstar in this league. Jeff Green has been solid and so is James Harden. Even though they missed the playoffs, they still have some nice wins over contending teams. They signed Allen Iverson, that maybe a good move or a bad move but one thing Iverson must learn that this is Durant's team.
Projected Standings: 40 - 42
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:N.Krstic|PF:J.Green|SF:K.Durant|SG:J.Harden|PG:A.Iverson|
Bench: |R.Westbrook|M.Dunleavy|S.Livingston|N.Mohammed|P.Patterson|M.West|K.Weaver|D.White|B.Mullens|S.Ibaka|Utah Jazz
Nothing much has change for the Utah Jazz, trading for Carlos Boozer for Rip Hamilton seems to work just fine as they have a surprised run and made the playoffs. Deron Williams is still the teams best player while Andrei Kirilenko and Paul Millsap provides a decent front court. They drafted William Bernard who have a knack from the 3 point line and also is a nice shot blocker. This confident rookie recently proclaims that the Jazz is a 70 win team. Hopefully with that said that will make Jerry Sloan the Coach of the Year.
Projected Standings: 42 - 40
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:M.Okur|PF:P.Millsap|SF:A.Kirilenko|SG:R.Hamilton|PG:D.Williams|
Bench: |R.Brewer|C.Miles|J.Maxiell|W.Bernard|R.Price|E.Maynor|K.Koufos|L.Guerrero|Denver Nuggets
The third best team in the West, the Denver Nuggets have exceed the expectations when they managed to get 50 wins leading them are Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups only to be knockout by the Spurs. Obviously the team's bench have hurt this team but this season their bench will surely improve, acquiring Luis Scola and Evan Turner. Alongside the birdman Chris Andersen and Ty Lawson these four man will be the key to the teams long run in the playoffs.
Projected Standings: 50 - 32
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:Nene|PF:K.Martin|SF:C.Anthony|SG:E.Turner|PG:C.Billups|
Bench: |J.Smith|C.Andersen|L.Scola|T.Lawson|A.Affalo|R.Balkman|R.Hollins|R.Palmer|

Pacific DivisionSacramento Kings
A young and a promising team, the Sacramento Kings again was on the lottery. The fans in the city of angels have to wait maybe two or three years for their team to make an impact again. Kevin Martin is on the trading block mainly because of Tyreke Evans who is an upcoming superstar. The Kings didn't made any major trade in the offseason and things look good with the rookie Al-farouq Aminu. With this kind of line-up this team will probably make the lottery again.
Projected Standings: 34 - 48
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:S.Hawes|PF:J.Thompson|SF:A.Nocioni|SG:K.Martin|PG:T.Evans|
Bench: |B.Udrih|F.Garcia|A.Aminu|D.Greene|S.May|R.Swift|J.Boone|T.Griffin|Golden State Warriors
About two years ago this team have shocked us when they upset the Mavericks but after that the Golden State Warriors have been in a downfall. Corey Maggette and Stephen Jackson have been in a feud lately. Anthony Randolph have been given a chance to start last season but he missed 45 games. Monta Ellis is so far the best player in the team. They drafted international star Donatas Motiejunas but many says that he will be a bust. It's up for coach Don Nelson to insert the Nellieball in this team.
Projected Standings: 38 - 44
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:A.Biedrins|PF:A.Randolph|SF:C.Maggette|SG:S.Jackson|PG:M.Ellis|
Bench: |S.Curry|K.Azubuike|A.Morrow|D.Motiejunas|B.Wright|R.Turiaf|A.Law|Los Angeles Clippers
They have finished last season with just two games above .500 mark and earned the rights to play in the playoffs. But when Marcus Camby got injured in the first game the team just disappears, obviously Camby is the heart of this team but he decided to retire. So it's up to Blake Griffin to make this team a playoff contender atleast. Eric Gordon is a smooth scorer and Chris Kaman is a pretty decent center. But all this talent is gone to waste when their two leaders can't even cooperate, Baron Davis and Mike Dunleavy hate each other so much and soon one of them will leave.
Projected Standings: 40 - 42
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:C.Kaman|PF:B.Griffin|SF:A.Thorton|SG:E.Gordon|PG:B.Davis|
Bench: |R.Davis|L.Head|S.Telfair|T.Ratliff|M.Stearn|R.Ivey|N.Shannon|Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns are known for their run and gun offense but with Steve Nash slowing down because of his age and an old Grant Hill in the starting line-up the fast pace offense doesn't suit them anymore. So they got Andrew Bynum unlike when they got Shaq they get a young center this time. But loosing Jason Richardson will make a huge hole in their bench, Jared Dudley is quickly improving and Gordan Dragic is learning from Nash but look for this team to make a trade this season for improvement.
Projected Standings: 44 - 38
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:A.Bynum|PF:A.Stoudemire|SF:G.Hill|SG:L.Barbosa|PG:S.Nash|
Bench: |J.Dudley|M.Bellineli|J.Pargo|G.Dragic|R.Lopez|A.Tucker|B.Jeffries|Los Angeles Lakers
Back to back champs...again, this team is on a roll with three straight finals appearances. Phil Jackson won his 11th ring while Kobe Bryant have 5.Even if the teams success the team still moves Ron Artest for Greg Oden. Oden can improve their interior defense and with Jason Richardson and Joakim Noah in the bench this team have a pretty decent depth. They also resigned Derek Fisher but maybe he will take a lesser role, teaching scoring rookie William Sit, early in the season this loudmouth rookie clearly shows he can score but his attitude must change for him to stay to this team.
Projected Standings: 52 - 30
Projected Line-up:
Starting Five: |C:G.Oden|PF:P.Gasol|SF:L.Odom|SG:K.Bryant|PG:J.Farmar|
Bench: |J.Richardson|J.Noah|W.Sit|D.Fisher|S.Vujacic|L.Walton|A.Morrison|J.Reis|
badreligionau wrote:Stick with the recap format. The videos you make are pretty cool, but they're probably not something you need every recap to be effective. What I'd suggest is, get an archive of plays for your season and choose the best ten and make a top 10 at the end. They're always fun. Videos of the NLSC rookies would be sweet now I think about it.
Can't wait til you play Portland

It was around 10 in the morning the sound of shoes screeching on the floor, balls bouncing everywhere, players grasping for air and coaches yelling their lungs out filled the whole gym. It’s the first day of the training camp.
“Okay everybody take five.” Kurt Rambis said. Everyone gathers around the coach. The players are all worn out because of the hard drills they made. Coach Rambis is telling his players what would he like to see from this team this upcoming season then he noticed something, the two rookies Derrick Favors and John Wall are joking around. “Hey! You two stop joking around, get up and run 50 laps around the gym right now! The rest of you warm up, were gonna have a five on five scrimmage.” Realizing that the Coach is serious everyone quickly gets up and shoot some hoops. Rambis picked Jefferson,Hansbrough,Outlaw,Stackhouse and Flynn as the white team and he chose Dalembert,Haslem,Prince,Sessions and Wall as the black team.
The match began with Dalembert winning the tip-off, Sessions quickly catches the ball and pass to an open Haslem but his pass was quickly intercept by Flynn. Flynn pushes the ball, he sees Outlaw waiting up a head but he decided not to pass he wants to score the first points. Upon entering the threepoint line he quickly saw Wall waiting for him. “Oh you want stop me rookie.” Flynn said. Flynn easily gets past Wall with his speed. “Too easy rookie, the first points are mine.” But when he was going for the easy lay-up he noticed a shadow chasing him, he released the ball quickly but he gets blocked, Flynn’s body went down hard to the floor he turned around and was surprised who blocked him. John Wall is glaring at him. “Hey man! You better not take me easy, I’m not your ordinary rookie.” Wall said.
“It seems that we got the right player in the draft.” Rambis said. “It’s all thanks to my genius decisions.” Kurt Rambis turned around and see Rick Kamla. “Don’t flatter yourself, I still don’t like you let go Rubio.” Rambis said. “I see your still mad but tell me what we are going to do with four point guards. Having see Flynn and Wall take on each other like that seems to be a big problem.” Kamla said. Kurt Rambis didn’t answer he just turns around and watch his players. “Just wait Rick. I’ll make those two superstars.”

Minnesota Locker Room
“First game today, it’s the start of a brand new season and I want a great start this year.” Kurt Rambis is trying to fire up his players. “Okay the starters are Jefferson, Prince, Flynn, Wall and Haslem.” Dalembert and Sessions is disappointed that their starting job has taken. “Hey Jonny, you better not stand in my way, I want a nice impression for my first game.” Wall said. Flynn just looked at Wall and never say a thing.
The team enters the arena, for the first time since the Garnett era the whole arena is full. Everybody wants to support the team, everyone wants to see the no.1 overall pick John Wall play. No one seems to bother that the opposing team is the Dallas Mavericks. Both teams are doing their shoot outs when a ball came flying by. “Catch it Big Al, slam it hard.” Someone yelled. Big Al without thinking grabs the ball in the air and dunked it real hard. Everybody went crazy the fans surely love it. “That was a nice and perfect pass.” When Jefferson turns around he noticed that somebody from the half court throws that pass. It was Ricky Rubio. “You guys are going to be sorry that I’m not on you team.” Rubio shouted. As everyone was going to the bench Al Jefferson smiled. “Guys were going to have one crazy first game.” Jefferson said.
John's Wall debut ended in a win Dirk missed a crucial jumpshot

"It feels good, the fans support us all the way. Credits to Sam for the big block." Wall said.
