Damn... Chris Cohan is such a douchebag. Anyways, I like this trade, you're trading a potential All-Star and a role player for a potential All-Star. :)

So I'm guessing you're trying to make the deal they made in real life for Lee, but that was stupid. Don't do that. Plus, you acquired Carter so you could have cap space to re-sign Randolph if I recall.

stupid is as stupid does :P yeah, you remembered correctly; VC was brought in due to his expiring contract's making room for Meal Ticket next season; unfortunately priorities change and Cohan the Destroyer is a fickle man lol

Andrew wrote:Having picked up Boozer and Korver in my Dynasty I'd have to say it adds to the atmosphere a bit when you do add that touch of reality, but at the same time no one should feel obligated to do so.
Lamrock wrote:I actually like the Lee trade the more I think about it, just not in the context of this dynasty. Having said that, I doubt he does it.

It's not a done deal just yet but I would like to move on Lee simply because as Andrew mentioned, a few RL elements adds to the experience

ximike wrote:Nice game and good win on the network, it seems that the combination backyard Curry and Carter are working well for you. More points you bench Nice Von Wafer added 14 very nice.

thx... btw, Wafer went 2-7 for 4 pts not 14

all in good fun man :P just trying to keep you in the loop since you've no more dynasty to post on

haha maybe exaggerated a bit on the douchebaginess but as a longterm W's fan, i'm allowed :P... as i mentioned though, not a done deal yet

Warriors' Jazzy Block Party Turns Ugly

Dec 14, 2011 Oakland, CA (AP) - Andris Biedrins led a Warriors block party with 5 swats on the night in a 123-110 victory over the visiting Utah Jazz.

Unlike their first encounter this season when the Jazz managed to knock off Golden State during the closing seconds of overtime in Utah, the Warriors controlled the tempo with superior defense from opening tip.

Joakim Noah and Anthony Randolph went to work controlling the boards while Biedrins, off the bench, stupefied the opposition contesting every shot attempt in his area code. He registered just 2 points and 3 rebounds, but his 5 blocks and overall hustle was key to the Warriors' sustained attack.

"I felt really good tonight; very light on my feet. I just wanted to help my team win," said the reserve big man now in his 8th NBA season.

After the 1st-quarter Golden State had opened a 9 point advantage; then things turned from bad to worse for Utah when forward Carlos Boozer got injured driving the lane on a hard foul by Von Wafer. Boozer left clutching his shooting arm with 2:22 remaining before halftime, the Warriors having ripped the lead to 21 points.

Boozer's departure riled the Jazz who sought retribution, unfortunately at the expense of Warriors' forward Kelenna Azubuike, who was already playing on a sprained toe. Just before halftime at the 38.1 mark, Azubuike drove the paint and elevated for a shot only to take a crushing knee to the mid-section by Jazz center, Mehmet Okur. Sean Williams quickly rushed to the aid of his teammate managing to briefly seize Okur by the throat before the two were quickly separated.

With no actual fists thrown, both Okur and Williams were assessed a technical foul on top of Okur's flagrant foul 1 which coach Avery Johnson openly disagreed with, demanding a flagrant foul 2 but to no avail. Doubled-over in pain Azubuike was escorted to the locker room yet again, and while he did return after halftime, coach Johnson kept him on the sideline the remainder of the match.

The second half was a cleaner-played, less heated half with heavy warnings issued to both teams from the start. Utah managed to trim the Warriors lead by 5 points entering into the final period; but the Warriors' offense was too much to handle with Boozer no longer in the rotation and Golden State cruised to a double-digit win.

Mehmet Okur and 2nd-year guard Barry Ketchum had 23 points each to lead the Jazz while Anthony Morrow also totaled 23 in addition to 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals to lead the Warriors.

Golden State will try to keep a 3-game win streak alive, next hosting the Chicago Bulls on Friday featuring Derrick Rose and the Bulls 2011 5th-overall draft pick, Moses Popovic.

Post-Game Injury Update:

The injuries sustained by both Utah's Carlos Boozer and Warriors' Kelenna Azubuike have been assessed as 'Minor'… both players will be available to play for their next games.

Man, Beans needs more PT. A block every two minutes is amazing! God Buike is always injured. Brandan Wrong must've cursed him.

Rough game, nice touch spicing it up with an altercation story. Azubuike can't catch a break, even if it is just a minor injury.

Bit of a heating moment between Memo and Sean there, I like how you added that in to the recap. (Y) You're looking good so far this season, I know you will make the postseason if you keep this up. :)

Third time a charm for the Spurs? Methinks you'll have twenty to thirty changes of heart in the next two months though.

May have asked you this before, but have you ever considered doing a 2K association? All the cool people have 2K associations.

yah the Latvian came through bigtime; can't really get him more minutes than he's getting without starting him... the Curse? that stank goes back far prior to B-Wrong unfortunately :( maybe to Egyptian times... at some point i will transition over to 2K as i see some great stuff coming out of that forum section; for now, RL dictates it's not a wise move atm since i can't afford a bigger time sink than Live06 already is

thx ;) seeing how close the injuries came, i couldn't resist making a story of it; just glad Azubreakie wasn't hurt too bad

Morrow's definitely stepping up his game lately... it's weird he has so many steals since his Def Awareness rating is in the mid 40's! i think he's just good at recovering the rock once someone else pokes it free

Noah's performing well as the starter though. I'm obviously biased here, but I'd leave the rotation as it is for the moment, a brewing trade not withstanding.

i've gotta side with Andrew on this matter. the RL Biedrins struggles due to his horrid free throw shooting, to the point that he's timid to even draw contact or take shots; wasn't always like that but he's definitely lost a bit of confidence at some point. at least in Clutchworld, he's finding his mojo back, though Noah has starting center firmly wrapped for now (hopefully the RL Biedrins has been working around the clock to cure his FT woes :| )

anyway, thx for the comments guys

TEAM PREVIEW - Chicago Bulls

Current Record: 6-16

Breakdown

Derrick Rose is the catalyst of this struggling Chicago Bulls team that saw their budding star big man, Joakim Noah, set sail for sunny California and the Golden State Warriors during the off-season.

The Bulls hit troubled times early on, after new starting center Robert Swift suffered a major injury during the fourth week of the season (torn achilles tendon) forcing their 2011 5th-overall draft pick, Moses Popovic (no relation to Spurs coach, Gregg Popovich), into the limelight sooner than expected.

Once called, "The Red Sea", by Orlando's Dwight Howard who absolutely torn through the rookie for 41 points during their first encounter, Popovic is slowly finding his footing in the NBA. His trial-by-fire debut has him now averaging solid numbers in 12 games as a starter and he was awarded the East's Rookie of the Month in November.

If Popovic continues to produce when Swift returns, he may be in the running for Rookie of the Year.

The Chicago Bulls are now looking to turn things around after the recent acquisition of Antawn Jamison for Kirk Hinrich that less than a month ago. At 6-16 currently, Rose and company have their work cut out for them.

Apart from Popovic, no other real centers playing for Chi-Town. Noah and Randolph should kill
