Chapter 8 Part One

“Ring, Ring, Ring” The telephone is ringing for the past ten minutes.

“Kamla!!!!” Kurt Rambis said bursting through Rick’s office. “Hey Rick what’s with you not answering the phone. I’ve been calling for the last ten minutes.”

Rick facing his computer turn around and look at Rambis with a gloomy face.

“Sorry Kurt I’m just not in myself lately.” Rick Kamla said.

“What is wrong with you, what’s with the gloomy face.” Rambis said.

“It’s just when I went to look at the NLSC forum I saw Sit’s dynasty coming up to an end.” Rick sighs. “Man it’s over, it’s all over man.”

“What the fuck! This is the real life Rick, you don’t need those virtual world to survive.” Rambis said.

“But…”
“But what, just focus on your work we got some real issues here.” Rambis said.

Then Rick and Kurt talked about the issue suddenly Rick goes out in his office in a hurry.

Minnesota Locker Room

“Hey have you heard the news?” Tayshaun Prince said.

“What man?” Ramon Sessions said.

“The team will leave Minnesota, I think someone has going to buy it.” Prince said

“What were moving? To where man?” Sessisons asked.

“I think it’s in….” Prince whispered

While the two are talking Raymond is eavesdropping and from what he heard that puts a smile on his face. He went out to the locker room when Kamla’s secretary called him.

“Hey Julian, Mr. Kamla wants to talk to you in his office.”

Raymond went to Kamla’s office immediately.

“What up sir, you want to talk something?” Raymond said.

“Yeah Julian, it’s some issue about a rumor I just heard.” Rick said with a serious tone.
“You see I went to some research about your quick recovery and for you to play on such a high level is amazing.”

“What are you talking about sir?” Raymond said.

“You know what I’m talking about Julian or should I say Raymond.” Rick said.

Raymond was shocked and got silent for a moment, suddenly he starts laughing.

Hahaha “So you finally know it? So what are you going to do now Rick? I’m so freaking scared.Hahaha” Raymond said.

“I have no choice but to hand you over to the police and where is Julian?” Rick said.

“Police? You don’t think Rick, if you hand me to the police your team might get out of the league for letting an impostor play.” Raymond said “ And besides you can’t get me out of this team, boss D wont let it.”

“Boss D?” Rick puzzled.

Then a man came storming to his office and quickly open the door.

“Wait sir, your not allowed in there.” The secretary said.

“What the hell, what are you doing in here?” Rick said in his surprised.

Chapter 8 Part Two

“What the hell, what are you doing in here?” Rick said in his surprised.

“Oh Boss D you’re here already” Raymond said.

“What the, Boss D? You’re Boss D, David Kahn.” Rick said.

“Why are you surprised Rick, aren’t you happy that I’m here.” David said.

“What are you doing in here?” Rick said.

“Settle down Rick just relax, I’m here to inform you that tomorrow you’re going to have a private meeting with me and Glen.” David said.

“What meeting? And why would you let me fire Martin?” Rick said as he is completely confused.

“I said relax Rick just relax your going to find all that tomorrow.” David said.

With that David Kahn and Raymond Martin left Rick’s office leaving Rick in a shock and confused situation.

Raymond’s Apartment

“Hmmmm, where am I?” Julian said as he jut woke up.

Julian get’s up from the bed, he still wonders why he is feeling a bit dizzy. Julian search the area when he found that the door is locked he finds another way out when suddenly he heard that someone is opening the door, he quickly jump to the bed and act asleep.

“Yes sir, I’ll make sure he stays in here.” Raymond said in his cellphone “Okay sir goodbye.”

“Woooo! Today was a close one little brother, you know what your freaking GM found out who am I” Raymond whispered to Julian

Julian still acts sleeping while he is tying to find out what his brother up to.

“You still sound asleep huh even though I forgot to put drugs on you.” Raymond said. “Hahaha, those fucking doctors are really stupid thinking that you were on a coma but the truth is after the crash I inject a drug on you. Hahaha”

“Drugs? So that’s why I felt dizzy? Julian said to himself.

“Now this is the last drug I have bro, I’m just going to inject it to you because I will have a meeting with your freaking GM tomorrow.” Raymond said.

Just as Raymond was about to inject the drug to Julian, Julian quickly jump out of the bed. Both are fighting for the syringe when it finally struck Raymond’s neck. Raymond quickly removes the syringe but it was too late, the drug has been in full effect and Raymond just fell into the floor.

“Meeting tomorrow? I don’t know what’s up but I got a feeling that I need to go there.” Julian said.

Julian still struggling from the drugs tries to get out of the room as fast as he can. He knows that he need to talk with his GM immediately.

The next day at Glen Taylor’s office

Rick Kamla and Glen Taylor arrived first and had some time to talk.

“What are you saying sir, I just can’t understand.” Rick said.

“Apparently David found himself some group of friends that wants a team in the NBA, since are team are losers the fans didn’t want to watch us anymore.” Glen said. “This was planned by David since he started as a GM that’s why a fired him without telling you the reason.”

“That fucking David, he got no love for our team he all wants is some freaking money.” Rick said angrily

“Sorry Rick but I have no choice but accept David’s offer.” Glen said.

“Hello there, it’s me David Kahn in a flash.” David said.

“Speaking of the devil.” Rick said.

“Hahaha, this devil is an Angel in disguise for Glen. Am I right old timer.” David said.

“His right Rick, I’m about to go bankrupt and David offers a lot of money.” Glen said.

“Sir can’t you do something? This team born in Minnesota and it will die here in Minnesota.” Rick said.

“Well your Minnesota team will move to an even richer team, your team will move to the bright lights of Las Vegas.” David said.

“Vegas what the fuck, you want the team to gamble all night. They can’t play good in there with all distractions around.” Rick said. “Sir can’t you do something? I know you love this team more than I do.”
“Well I can hold the team for another two years.” Glen said.

“Yeah sir, give me this chance in two years this team will contend.” Rick said. “So are you okay with that David?”

“Sure but I have some rules before I agree.” David said.

“What is that?” Rick asked.

“You can’t trade Jawai, Flynn or Brewer, apparently my boss likes them. And you can’t fire or suspend Martin he needs to play whenever he wants, he’s my guy on your team.” David said.

“Sure it’s a done deal.” Rick said.

With that all three of them shook hand but before David was about to leave the room Rick tell him something.

“Oh before you leave David your guy Martin has changed he preferred to call by his first name Julian.” Rick said with a smile.
