Started a Detroit Pistons game, currently 2nd season, 5th worst record in the league first season but I was rebuilding.

Trades: 1st season

Villanueva + Jonas Jerebko for Bayless + 1st Rounder (later became 23rd Pick)
Kwame Brown for DeAndre Jordan (Steal :P)
Ben Wallace for Taylor Griffin + 1st Rounder (Ended up being the 25th Pick - Later Used In Trade for the 11th pick)

Had the 1st Pick, then traded Bayless (cause' I had too many PG's and needed a PF) + 25th pick for the 11th pick.

Drafted: John Wall (1st Overall), Patrick Patterson (11th Overall, Ed Davis who I was aiming for went 9th), Daniel Orton (23rd) and Dominique James (35th)

Trades: 2nd season

Traded Dominique James for Lance Stephenson who I aimed to get in the 2nd round but was picked up 30th by the Cavs.

So now..

Point Guard: Wall / Stuckey / Bynum
Shooting Guard: Gordon / Hamilton / Stephenson
Small Forward: Prince / Daye / Summers
Power Forward: Maxiell / Patterson (Patterson Is Going To Soon Start)
Center: Orton / Wilcox / DeAndre Jordan - I need to find a vet that can take over Center in the meantime while Jordan and Orton develop.

Don't see myself with the best record this season either, but hoping that I can pick up either Perry Jones or Harrison Barnes in the 2011 draft. :)

Barnes would be a major pick-up, though you might want to trade Prince for something, maybe for some frontcourt help.

True that, I'll put Prince on the trading block. Not going to have the best season so even if I have no solid SF (like my C position) i'll at least get a good position in the draft and be ready to maul some teams in the 2011-2012 season :D

For some reason my Hornets always play really well against the Denver Nuggets. Had Okafor in foul trouble most of the game and we still won by 30 and had 7 players in double figures including Gray and Songaila. West also had 12-10, while Okafor still ended up with 12-7, Chris Paul and Collison providing double-doubles in both points and assists.
It also helps that Carmelo jacked up shots, 10-30.

Last time we played against them we won by 20.

Thinking about a tear-it-down Cavs story. Might try a few practice games with them.

So i think I'm done with the Speed. I like the team and all but i've done 3 seasons and I'm out of intrigue. I also feel like some of the real life teams have more intriguing stories. So any thoughts on who i should use for a real team when i make a new association? (i might copy a real roster and import a team but still) Right now these are who i'm leaning towards

1. Suns-I love steve nash and without Amare/Frye they just went from contenders to fringe. Be a nice challenge but not so tough it couldn't be handled
2. Jazz-Deron Williams is in a similar boat with Nash, with Boozer gone, he doesnt really have a go to guy anymore.
3. Nets-I'm not sure why but their young core intrigues the hell out of me. I wouldnt mind developing the harris/lopez/favors trio to challenge Miami/LA
4. Warriors-simply because i've never used them and curry, ellis, lee sounds like fun (but it would never measure up to Nellieball)
5. A fantasy draft league although that would end up giving me a stacked team with no salary moves i could make for a few seasons.

Other suggestions are welcome. My only things i'm trying to avoid are: copying Jae again ( ), The bulls (i used boozer too long in the Speed, want some new people to use), and Miami/Boston/Orlando/LA levels of stacked (for the first year anyway).

I like the Suns, cause' Nash may be the playmaker but he's aging. Would be an interesting story. :D

Other than that, the Nets are a good choice.

I actually think that would be a good story. That's the type of Association I'd run if I still had time. Over the cap, mediocre, still haven't won a title, the rivalry against Heat. A lot of hooks. And a crazy arse owner

2. They still have Millsap to replace Boozer.
4. They really are fun to play but be prepared to be frustrated playing defense, more so than the Suns.

Sixers with Evan Turner? Hornets with one hell of a backcourt in Paul and Collison? The Nuggets Anthony and Billups? Thunder with Durant and your 11 mil cap space?

Millsaps not rated 90 something like boozer, he misses some easy stuff, isnt as strong, or as tall (in my roster). I used the Jazz a bit today..man..i was getting rocked by the Lakers. Odds are if i do that i'm trading away Okur and maybe Kirilenko to try to make Utah not the whitest basketball team on earth.

Also used the Warriors for about half a game. Everyone was fucking useless except for biedrins and lee  But yeah, i could see them being fun to play and if i only work defense in practice modes/development...could be a good story.

Sixers i tried right after the draft...they might be slightly too stacked for me b/w Thad, Lou, Turner, Brand. Brand may have issues irl but in a video game he's still a monster.

Hornets: intriguing.
Nuggets: too stacked for me currently
Thunder: Probably too stacked once i get a center worth two squirts of piss

Good suggestions and thoughts though. What i'm thinking about doing is copying these teams and using created team location and what not. Depending on the team, maybe even simming the 1st season. For those of you that are fans of the Doctor of Journalism , you'll be glad to know it wouldnt be an assoc. without him. None of this may happen till oct when 2k11 comes out but im trying to find a team i could actually stick with so i dont develop multiple personality disorder like some people we know

Timberwolves might not be a bad one. They have inside presence and some decent guards and Corey Brewer is ridiculous the game, but they might still be considered stacked in a videogame.

Hi.
Started the new dynasty recently (2k10). Decided to go with New Jersey Nets. Just becouse never used it in any of the basketball games in dynasty mode. But loved it in NBA IN THE ZONE 99 :)

Just before the new season made few trades

Nets OUT:
D.Harris
Nets IN:
R.Felton, T.Ratliff, 2011-1st round pick.

Nets OUT:
C.Lee , B.Simmons, 2011- 2nd round pick.
Nets IN:
T.Prince

Nets OUT:
C.Heyes
Nets IN:
J.Posey

Team roster now:

PG. R.Felton/ K.Dooling
SG T.Williams/ C.Douglas-Roberts
SF T.Prince/ J.Posey/ T.Hassel
PF. J.Yi/ K.Humphries/T.Battie
C B.Lopez/ T.Ratliff

IR:
J.Boone
C Quinn

Desperate for a better bench PF.. Cos when Yi is out on a foul trouble or just on a bench im F..D
Playing on a superstar level 9min /sim 11min.

1-6 in a season, the only win came against wizards, gave a good battle to orlando (82-84), and boston (90-96).

Yi is a surprise leader of my team. First in points (22), rebounds (9), and blocks (3) per game.
B.Lopez is a second man wit 19.3pts a game and 7rbs.
R,Felton is a big dissapointment 5pts 5ast and 37% shooting.

ANy comments?

Made an expansion draft and simmed the first season, drafted John Wall as the #1 pick, signed Carlos Boozer, then later traded for Chris Bosh, signed Rudy Gay, Drew Gooden, Tyrus Thomas, simmed again, didn't made the playoffs, signed Dalembert, Jamal Crawford, here's the lineup :

PG - John Wall | Gabe Pruitt
SG - Gerald Green | Jamal Crawford
SF - Rudy Gay | can't remember
PF - Chris Bosh | Tyrus Thomas
C - Samuel Dalembert | Drew Gooden

About to start the season. After i finish my story, maybe I will use this and post it in here. What do you guys think?

You could always trade off Hassell and Ratliff for a backup PF, Josh Boone generally does good off the bench in my game.

I played Boone in a first 3 games of the season, he sucks.. then i brought in battie, not much better tho.. If i trade ratliff then i would need backup C. Just gona trade Boone, Humphries and Battie for someone more reliable i hope..

T.Williams first two games were so-so, but now he is taking the spotlight away from Yi, gona be strong contender for ROY, just need to work on his shooting.. And CDR is a great back-up. Wanted to put both of them on a starting 5, but both not good enough for SF postion..

Ahh okey dokes.

Anywho, started a post-LeBron cavs association.

First season = Simmed = Worst record in the league

Signed Rubio from Free Agency but traded some other signed free agents to Minnesota so they at least got something from me taking their Euro point guard haha.

Trades:
Antwan + 2012 First Rounder for DeMarcus Cousins seeing as both my Centers were aging.
Hawks offered me Zaza + their 2011 First Rounder (Ended up being 21st Pick) for JJ Hickson

To be honest, Shaq was the star in that Season, played fairly well with an All-Star game appearance and 3rd Team All-NBA.

2nd Season:
Had 1st pick, sadly got the worst end of the stick and got the 4th pick. Traded Daniel Gibson and the 4th pick for the 2nd pick.
Drafted Harrison Barnes (2nd Overall), JaMychal Green (21st Overall) and Kemba Walker (31st Overall).

Had 18.5 Mil in Cap Space thanks to LeBron, resigned Shaq for a year, didn't sign Jawad Williams. Anywho, signed Rudy Gay to a 4 Year Contract, player option for 5th and Shannon Brown to a 3 Year contract, roughly 3 Mil a year.

Rotation:

Point Guard: Mo Williams / Ricky Rubio / Kemba Walker
Shooting Guard: Delonte West / Harrison Barnes / Shannon Brown (Harrison is going to take over in about a month or 2)
Small Forward: Rudy Gay / Daniel Green / Jamario Moon
Power Forward: Anderson Varejao / Leon Powe / JaMychal Green (I'm going to do something here, make some trade to get Varejao either out, or as a backup PF, he's not good enough to start)
Center: DeMarcus Cousins / Shaq / Zaza Pachulia

Power Rankings have me at 6th in the Pre-Season, Dan Gilbert was wrong though, Heat won their first championship in the first year of this association :P

Still think that Cavs without Lebron is a descent team, how did they manage to finish it with the worst record? :) Simulation tho..
Nice looking roster. Would keep Varejao in the starting5, cos he is a 'Wild Thing' :D

So traded hassel for thabeet and humphries + battie for m.dunleavy jr. Moved ratliff to back up PF..
Lost another 2 games to magic and phila.. Noticed that 2.5quarters im doin fine, but then my ass is getting kicked.. maybe superstar level is a bit to much for this team :D

NBA 2K7 - Playstation2

I have a Bulls association:

C - O'Bryant/Wallace
PF - Sweetney/Hardy/Okur
SF - Deng/Bradley
SG - Gordon/Sefolosha/Kasparov*
PG - Perkins/Hinrich

I had 5 championships with this team...,

bold - generated rookies

* - Kasparov's overall is 80 but he never plays... Because Sefolosha has 83 overall
