DAL over OKC in 7 (really hard to decide)
MIA over BOS in 6
FINALS: DAL over MIA in 6 (payback much?)
It was. J-Dud's 3-pointers just kept coming. Until game 6.Axel. wrote:Unfortunate about the elimination, but it did sound like a fun three-point contest between Dud and Ray.
Well, all I do is save the box scores using the 'save stats' button in the game and they automatically go into a .txt document. Just in case you were wondering if I was a loser enough to type all of that.shadowgrin wrote:I like the 'old school' feel of this one. Line after line of stats in the box score.

LeBron James remained out for the first half of the series, barely able to attend shoot-arounds due to his ankle injury. Miami, however was able to take Game 1 at home behind Dwyane Wade's 35p/11r/12a triple-double. Mavs forward Shawn Marion played tremendous defense and offense while mainly being matched up against Chris Bosh and Mike Miller. The Heat's two best remaining forwards combined for 14 points and 8 rebounds. Shawn Marion played like a total monster all-around, leading the Mavs with 27 points, 16 rebounds, and 4 steals. But Miami still won 99-93.
LeBron attempted a comeback in Game 2 and played 21 minutes over the span of three quarters before collapsing on the court in pain. He managed 19 points and 11 rebounds, but was unable to get off the court on his own. Just one minute later, backup forward Rasual Butler broke his hand, ruling him out for the remainder of the series. Miami, up by 14 points with 14 minutes remaining in the game at the time of James' exit, would end up down 90-81 to Dallas at the end. Dirk Nowitzki led the way with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Monta Ellis, Chris Paul, and Shawn Marion all scored 15. Dallas stole a game in Miami.
Games three and four were LeBron-less. Dallas held the lead the entire game 3, and finished with 111 points, holding Miami to 102. Dwyane Wade shot horribly and finished with 27 points on 9-33 shooting and six rebounds. Chris Bosh was nearly in tears after the game, in which Dallas center Andrew Bogut torched Miami for 23 points and 19 rebounds. Nowitzki also had 23 points, while Rip Hamilton, Antawn Jamison, and John Salmons came off the bench and combined for 28.
Chris Paul simply evaporated in Game 4, and Dwyane Wade and Ricky Rubio had a field day. Rubio scored a season-high 22 points, and Wade scored 39. DeJuan Blair had 16 rebounds and 3 steals, and 4 blocks. In retaliation, Bogut and Nowitzki combined for 45 points and 34 rebounds, while Shawn Marion added another 27, but it was all for nothing. Dallas never led after the first seven minutes and Miami took Game 4 in Dallas 118-113.
The series was tied at 2-2. Miami managed to take Game 5 at home with the return of LeBron James. James scored 32 and grabbed 12 boards in 36 minutes and did not seem to show any pain on the court. Wade also scored 32, but only managed a single rebound and two steals despite foul trouble. Mike Miller and Chris Bosh each scored 14. For Dallas, Dirk led the way with 29 points and 11 rebounds, while Shawn Marion seemed to disappear and only managed 11 points, 5 rebounds, and a block in 40 minutes. Chris Paul broke out of his slump, scoring 23 and dishing 14 assists, while rookie Thierry Tirieux led Dallas' bench with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists in a career-high 26 minutes. Miami took Game 5 120-116.
Dallas dominated for the first three quarters of the game and opened up a 24-point lead going into the fourth. Dirk Nowitzki had scored 34, Monta Ellis had 25, and Andrew Bogut already had 10 points and 17 rebounds. They led Dallas to a 93-69 lead with just twelve minutes on the clock. LeBron James, after scoring eight points in the first three quarters, lit Dallas on fire for 21 points in the final quarter. Dwyane Wade added nine more and Chris Bosh, DeJuan Blair, and reserve rookie center Dontae' Njinkeu split the other ten points. Miami was unable to close out the game, due to being in such a great hole, but still outscored Dallas 40-23 in the final quarter. Nowitzki finished with 44 and Dallas won 116-109.

Game 7: Miami and Dallas tied at three games apiece. Over the first 47 minutes the lead never exceeded seven in either direction. A very even game, LeBron James and Dirk Nowitzki each had 27, no one else had more than 15. Wade had 12, Bosh had 11 points and 12 boards, and Mike Miller had 12, shooting 4-4 from outside. For Dallas, Ellis, Marion, and Paul each had 13. Each team's bench played a large role. Brad Miller and Antawn Jamison scored key threes in the early fourth quarter, while Miami's Udonis Haslem, Andray Blatche, and James Jones all made solid plays around the same time.
With just 50 seconds left, with Dallas three points down, Dirk Nowitzki drove inside for an and-one and fouled out Ricky Rubio! Nowitzki missed the clutch free-throw, Bogut got the offensive board and before anyone noticed, he jammed it down and Dallas had a one point lead! The Miami Heat took their time on the next possession and once the shot clock showed "5", Dwyane Wade buried a mid-range shot and drew the foul on Mike Miller! He sank the free throw and Dallas had 25 seconds to get two points. Dallas decided they couldn't take any chances, and Chris Paul split the Miami defense and buried a short jumper with 18 seconds left on the clock. The score was tied at 89. Wade missed the last-second jumper and Game 7 went into overtime.
The first overtime period was "useless", each team scored exactly six points and a second overtime was in store. With under ten seconds left in OT2, Miami led by one and Shawn Marion blocked a LeBron James layup, passed the rock to Monta Ellis, and Ellis dunked the ball on the fast break! Dallas led by one with 8.6 seconds. Chalmers, unable to find Wade or James on the inbounds pass, was forced to inbound to Chris Bosh, was promptly accidentally tangled up with Dirk Nowitzki. Bosh split the free-throws and this game went into yet another overtime at 106-106.
With one minute on the clock, the scoreboard read DAL: 113, MIA: 110. Miami had possession, and LeBron James wasted no time in getting to the rim and putting one more basket down to cut the lead to one. Two scoreless possessions later, the Dallas Mavericks found themselves up 113-112 with 7.6 seconds and Shawn Marion inbounded the ball at half court...
It happened. I played games 5-7. Not saying which team I played for until after the contest is over.Mavs4Life wrote:Did this really happen? I've seen one game 7 in my assciation go to OT, but triple?
It didn't go into another overtime, Martti.Martti. wrote:Dwyane Wade makes a half-court shot after 2 Mavs free throws, Heat win it in OT.
