Like the addition of Morrow and the size he adds to the 2 spot. Did Griffin win the Rookie of the Year?

Started a T-Wolves Association, except as I was the team's GM on Draft Day, I went with the two player that I thought the T-wolves should take, Ricky Rubio with the 5th pick & Stephen Curry with the 6th pick. The Knicks still elected to take Jordan Hill at 7 thanks to Walsh & D'Antoni, & the Warriors snapped up Jonny Flynn at 8. The rest of the picks went as IRL.

As I did not alienate Rubio by taking Flynn, as Curry can play beside Rubio as a small off guard, I was able to convince him to come over this season with the promise of big minutes as a rookie. His buyout was a bit high, but with endorsements & an injury insured loan he has taken over future earnings, he should be alright to live comfortably & break even by the beginning of his third season of his rookie deal.

Only other off-season change that happened was that Ramon Sessions signed for MLE with the Clippers as a backup to Baron rather than with the T-wolves.

Anyways, I decided to go with post-trade deadline rosters (with Rubio added of course, he's rated a 74 to start out & my 4th best player on ratings behind Jefferson, Curry & Love) & turn off CPU trading & sim until the end of February & pick it up from there.

Interestingly enough we got off to a great start to the season & were hovering around .500 before a terrible month of February put us down to about 27-34. Rubio definitely has had a solid impact for the T-wolves, starting 48 of 61 games & he is averaging 7ppg, 7apg & 1.5spg. Curry has had a run of injuries lately, but is having a solid, if unspectacular rookie season, averaging 13ppg & 6apg. Love is a double-double machine, averaging about 12 & 10 or thereabouts. Jefferson is obviously the man, named to his first ever All-Star team. He's going for 24 & 10. Not getting much from the rest of the guys, although Gomes is solid. Darko's averaging about 4 & 4 off the bench :P

Around the league, Mavs are tops of the West, just lost a heartbreaker 97-99 as Big Al couldn't get a shot off in time (N) Other than that, Lakers are in 2nd place, but I'm expecting them to slide as Kobe tore his ACL on the 1st of February, so he's out for a season with his first major career injury. I think Cavs are top in East & may have best record in NBA, but not too sure. The only team that looks out of place in playoff picture is the mighty New Jersey Nets, who are sitting in about 4th in the East  As I have to have player roles and chemistry turned off in this Association, I guess bad chemistry & unhappy players don't affect the Nets anymore :P

My current lineup is as follows:

    C- A.Jefferson/D.Milicic/R.Hollins/M.Blount
    PF- K.Love/N.Jawai/O.Pechdfkjaljdlkasjovic
    SF- R.Gomes/A.Tucker/D.Wilkens
    SG- C.Brewer/W.Ellington/S.Pavlovic
    PG- S.Curry/R.Rubio

Notes: For most of sim season Rubio started at PG & Curry was at SG. Will try a more conventional lineup now I'm playing about a quarter of my games, although did start both last game against Mavs & Rubio played well & Curry played like shite. Not sure about Brewer though, he's very inconsistent. I think I might give Alando Tucker a chance to start before season is out. Ellington has had a few starts. He is what he is, an average UNC 2-guard. Jawai doesn't play much, Big Al & Love sucked up all big man minutes & Darko cleans up rest, but I'll give Hollins & Jawai a chance.

EDIT: I'm thinking of waiving Mark Blount's sorry ass (he's an expiring contract anyways) & signing a D-Leaguer for rest of season as a 3rd PG for insurance. I'm thinking in off-season I'm going to try to re-sign Big Al, exercise team options on Love & Brewer, let Pechdfkjaljdlkasjovic leave, get rid of Damien Wilkens once & for all, as with Pavlovic. I'd like to give Tucker, Hollins (who I liked at UCLA) & Jawai a chance to earn a contract (Y) As for Darko, I think I might decrease his ratings right down before end of season & let him walk off to Europe. So I'm thinking this off-season I should have 5 roster spots open, one for a 1st Rounder, 2nd Rounder, hopefully a good SF free agent (Rudy Gay anybody?), a 3rd PG & a 3rd C.

Currently playing 2nd season with Denver. I made some trades during the 1st season & offseason and I hope it's fair enough.

Here are the trades that Ive made:

1st season trade:

Ty Lawson and R. Balkman for Goran Dragic, Jared Dudley and Suns 1st round pick

Offseason trades:

Nene for B. Gordon

Affalo for McGee (traded from WAS to MIL during the 1st season)

1st round player pick (from PHX) for Chicago's next year's 1st round pick

here's my current lineup

PG Billups/Dragic/2nd rd pick
SG B. Gordon/JR Smith
SF Anthony/Dudley
PF K. Martin/1st rd pick
C D. Gooden/Andersen/McGee

I started an Association in 2k9 with the Clippers with updated rosters, I wanted to make this as much of a challenge as possible so released the entire team and made sure to sign low rated guys. I'm playing 6 minute quarters on Superstar using realistic sliders.

PG Shaun Livingston 79/Salim Stoudamire 73/Sun Yue 70
SG Rashad McCants 79/DJ Strawberry 72
SF Darius Miles 77/Patrick Ewing Jr. 72
PF Mike Sweetney 76/Stromile Swift 74/Jackie Butler 72
C Robert Swift 71/Raef Lafrentz 73

Currently in year 1, I'm 2-10 with wins vs Indiana 46-31 and Dallas 60-51. I've been staying close in games, but I can never keep it together in the 4th quarter and the cpu just takes over. Livingston is playing great (7.4 pts 7.1 assists) but hes very inconsistent, same with McCants (13.1 pts). Robert Swift is playing the most consistent so I'd consider him my best player (6.4 pts, 5.3 rbs .530fg%) since I know what to expect from him every game. I just picked up Stro and Raef so they've only played in two games.

Since I released the entire Clippers roster Chris Kaman signed with the Lakers and is starting over Bynum. Can't remember where Boom Dizzle went.

What do you call a power forward that averages 7 rebounds?
A small forward.

The X,

Only if you were really the T-Wolves GM on draft day. Also hope that you give Tucker a start soon.

I like the idea of a Curry-Rubio PG tandem X, as well as Kobe tearing his ACL. Keep us posted on how it goes. (Y)

I started a Wizards dynasty. Simmed the first season and now I am at the beginning of the 2nd season. I'm still 50-50 on wether or not I should present it in the forum. It would definitely not be like my Cats D quality-wise because I don't want to spend my holidays in front of my computer (i.e. my gf does not want me to spend it there ;) ).

It would be fun, but not with that much style. Maybe I will start another simmed season with a different team and decided which one I'm gonna play.

/edit: okay, I noticed that my Wizs D did not save properly. Damn.

Yep, he'll probably get a start sometime in April. I liked him in college as I'm a closest Wisconsin fan (even though I don't like their style of play, Kirk Penney starred there).

No NLSC-ers or me in there, just real deals. I just need to edit Rubio out of 2012 PS3 Draft Class now.

Lamrock wrote:I like the idea of a Curry-Rubio PG tandem X, as well as Kobe tearing his ACL. Keep us posted on how it goes. (Y)

Yep, on Draft Day (Sit can't vouch for it, he piked & went to work or some shit) when T'wolves were up at 5 & 6 I was pissing myself. I was like damn, I don't know how Kahn did it, I thought he screwed up in his trade, but he now gets Rubio AND Curry, who can both play on the court together or individually as lead guards. Then Kahn picked Flynn & I was forced to drink more. Such is life on Draft Day.

But yes, I do like the tandem. Maybe you can help me out with Rubio. I'm looking to edit his playing style (i.e. animations, shot style) to have him look more like the Rubio we all know.

Will keep on posting. Thought about posting in its own thread but I don't know how my own motivation is on this one, so best to just let it ride its own course & see how it goes.

That's exactly where I'm coming from. Still not sure which team to use etc and wether or not to post it here in a own thread. I guess I should just start instead and let it come to me.

Your out of competition anyway. I just cannot find a team to play right now which is a guarantee that a potential D might end Thierry like.

This is a new Thierry. I'm in love with the Pacers team I'm assembling, I'm serious. :cheeky: As Sit said, Dallas could be nice. Haven't seen one as of lately.

Why do i remember you saying that about the Kings, C's, and Nets?.....

Go with Dallas if they're the only team you like, but I find them too "good"...especially since they won the finals in my 2k9...

I liked the teams and made some smaller trades, but nothing like I'm doing now. I will have like 6 or 7 new players when June comes with this Pacers. :cheeky:

Oh, but competition is good. With competition comes increased traffic into Association sub-forums & hence more views. It also adds to your dynasty's creativity/edge since you've gotta deliver your best.

Just make some small story of the Wizards changing their name back to Bullets and use actual rosters, and retro jerseys in every game
