Well, you can't blame him; he had a quadruple-double with 69 points after all!

Anyway, here's the pic.Image
See that yellow thing? That's Corey's shooting sleeve. :D

NC Domination [12-7] All-Star Game + Story

Postby rise on Mon Apr 04, 2011 1:43 am

Bosh Goes Clutch, Wins 2012 All-Star Game for the East

The East was losing nearly the entire game until Chris Bosh tied the scored at 195 with 27 seconds left. Monta Ellis missed a tough layup and Rajon Rondo got the rebound, passed it to Chris Bosh who quickly drained a jump shot at the buzzer for the win.

The All-Star Game was a game of big stats. Kevin Durant and Al Jefferson tied for the highest scorer (33), while Durant was 13-24, Big Al was 16-17 from the field and also led the West with 9 rebounds. Lamarcus Aldridge, Kevin Durant, and Al Jefferson played tremendous defense, while Deron Williams did some crazy ball-handling.

The East was all over the place. Andrew Bogut fouled out in eleven minutes, prompting first-time All-Star Tyson Chandler to turn up the heat. He finished with 25 points and 8 rebounds, second best to Charlotte's Josh Smith, awarded All-Star Game MVP for his 25 points, his 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 blocks, and providing highlights for the game. Corey Harrington, the only rookie in the game, scored 21 and dished 9 asissts. The Miami Big Three scored 62 points, but LeBron James left with five seconds left in the first half with a twisted ankle and did not return. He had 21 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 blocks, but had almost fouled out anyway. Charlotte's monster trio was another trio in the ASG. Josh Smith, Gerald Wallace, and Raymond Felton all contributed well to the East, totaling 56 between them. Added to Tyson Chandler and Corey Harrington, the state of North Carolina had a record five All-Stars.

Notes: Carmelo Anthony never played due to pain in his knee ... Andrew Bynum recorded a season-high 6 steals, while Blazer big man Lamarcus Aldridge had seven ... Deron Williams' 18 assists was a season-high.

WEST: 51|99|150|195| Al Jefferson: 33 points (16-17 FG%, 0-0 3P%, 1-2 FT%), 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks, 3 fouls, 1 turnover
EAST: 40|95|137|197| Josh Smith: 25 points (12-15 FG%, 1-2 3P%, 0-0 FT%), 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 6 blocks, 3 fouls, 6 turnovers

Too Late?

At a practice the day after the Mavericks game, 14 Domination players are present. All except DeJuan Blair. Tyson Chandler was clearly troubled all practice and performed a lot more poorly than he had the night before. All practice, Tyson's only thought was, "What if I've scared him away from this team?" He knew he was wrong for starting it, but he had already apologized to Blair for his moments of stupidity. He couldn't help feeling bad for him, but there was a voice in the back of Tyson's head that was constantly saying, He's just being a crybaby about this. Don't worry yourself about him. He'll come around and finally accept your apology."

However, toward the end of the practice, and new voice popped into Tyson's head. "What's going to happen to this team without Blair? He may not be all that great this season, but he's still good and I'd give him credit for that if he wasn't a douchebag!" Tyson thought. Then he stopped dead. "Or am I the douchebag?"

"Tyson! Shoot the damn ball!" Tyson drifted back into reality as Shannon Brown barked at him.

--
--

After practice, Tyson approached Jared Dudley. "You know where DeJuan's at today?"

Jared immediately said, "He said he was at home sick, like an upset stomach or something, but I don't think so. I think he's afraid you're going to do something to him if he even makes eye contact with you or something."

Jared's words weren't helping Tyson's mood. Irritably, Tyson said, "I don't wanna beat him up or anything. In fact, I want to apologize to him. Again. He doesn't take my apologies seriously. Got any suggestions?"

"I think you need to tell him how important he is to this team. He probably thinks he's totally useless now that you've taken his place...", as Tyson opened his mouth, Jared hastily added, "It's not your fault. He's not useless as the box scores imply he is. His defense is great, and I don't think he totally realizes that now that he doesn't stand out anymore. It's because the whole team is better this season. You need to tell him that he's really useful to the team, which he is, and then tell him exactly how he anchors the defense when he's on the floor, and where it would be without him."

Tyson's eyes brightened slightly and said, "I'll let you know how it works out. I'm goin' over to his house after lunch. Peace out, man, thanks for the tips."

--
--

Two hours later, Tyson Chandler was at the door of DeJuan Blair's house, ringing his doorbell. Blair took his time, but once he saw who it was at his door, he wasted no time in slamming the door shut again.

Tyson was furious. He pounded on the door and said, "DeJuan! Please! I want to talk to you! C'mon man, open up! I ain't goin' do nothing."

DeJuan once again took his time answering the door and Tyson was already halfway inside his Hummer H2 again when DeJuan Blair's door opened up again. "Come in, man, I'll talk to you."

Tyson couldn't believe it. He hadn't even expected DeJuan to even open the door at all, let alone let him inside. "Hey, what's goin' on, DeJuan?"

DeJuan kept his face dead serious and in a low voice, said, "What the hell do you want, Tyson?"

"Listen, man, I've apologized to you several times, why don't you accept my apologies? They're totally sincere and what I said after my second game with the team shouldn't even have come out at all..."

But DeJuan cut him off. "That's what everyone says after they screw up. I told you, show me you mean it and I'll accept your apology."

Tyson laughed coldly. "What the hell do you want? Do you want some money or something? Look, this whole damn thing is so stupid. If you'll just accept that I screwed up and that I'm legitimately sorry about it, things will be a lot easier, or am I going to have to go through the entire list of things you bring to this team and how lost we would be without you?"

DeJuan raised his eyebrows but said nothing.

Tyson pressed on, "Listen, if you want to know, I was seriously worried about you constantly after we got dismissed from practice yesterday. I felt guilty. I really did. I thought about you after the game yesterday and all the stuff you do when you're on the court."

DeJuan cut in. "But I don't do anything for the team, this is the second time I've been suspended and when I'm not suspended, I average like 4 points and 4 rebounds or something."

Tyson wasn't expecting this. He expected Blair to lash out, mock him, throw him against a wall, or chuck nearby objects at him, not just sit there. "DeJuan, I take a lot for granted when it comes to basketball. But I noticed something last night. When our bench was out on the court, our play was all over the place, particularly lacking in what you do best: forcing opponents to shoot bad shots. Your efforts may not show up in the box scores, but seriously, our bench's defense was a lot worse, and that's why our starters played enormous minutes last night, because our bench was missing its most crucial piece: its only true defensive stopper."

For the first time in days, Tyson saw DeJuan smile. But that smile faded as quickly as it had come. Before Tyson could continue, DeJuan started to speak. "Before you say it, I'm sorry. I knew it was a mistake, but the mistake kinda ticked me off a bit. I got a little carried away with it and before I knew it, I've been harping on a stupid mistake for over three months. I've been a total dick to you, and I'm sorry for that. Would you accept my apology?"

Tyson was all smiles. "Only if you accept mine." They shook hands, bumped fists, and hugged, but Tyson still felt there was something DeJuan was keeping back the whole time, as DeJuan's face was still as unhappy as it was before.

Suddenly, Tyson remembered what he'd overheard outside Zee Otoo's office yesterday. He had a hollow feeling and more than ever, he felt really bad for him. Tyson thought to himself, "What can I do to keep DeJuan on this team? What if it's too late and Otoo's already traded him off?" Before he knew what he was saying, Tyson had already blurted out, "DeJuan, we gotta get over to Zee Otoo and talk with him; you could be traded at anytime. Otoo was calling a couple teams yesterday and said he'll call again today."

"Traded?!" DeJuan exploded. "What gives? He knows what I've done for the team last year, he's gonna let all that go to waste? I want another chance to play for the Domination!"

"I want you to have that chance too! If we can hurry up, hopefully, we can talk Otoo out of whatever trade he might be talkin' about! Let's go!"

Both of the Domination's centers ran towards Chandler's Hummer, got inside and drove off. They reached Zee Otoo's office in under twenty minutes, but as they turned into the same hallway, Tyson stopped dead at the sound of Zee Otoo's voice. All they heard were eight words: "Well, Pat Riley, you've got yourself a deal."

Too Late.

DeJuan Blair couldn't believe it. He'd gotten there a few seconds too late. He was sure there was nothing he could do at this point to reverse a trade. He went to the locker room alone, and Zee Otoo came in moments later.

"Hey, Blair, come to my office," Zee Otoo said to him. DeJuan felt empty inside, but out in the gym, he heard Otoo speak again. "Wright! Hey, Brandan! I need ya in my office!"

DeJuan wondered if he was going to be traded together. It made him feel a little better, but he knew that he couldn't possibly wish to be anywhere else than in the Domination gym right now.

As he walked into the office, Brandan Wright and Zee Otoo were engaged in a yelling match.

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN I'VE BEEN TRADED? I'VE BEEN THROUGH ALL SORTS OF SHIT, I'VE HELPED YOU GUYS THROUGH ALL SORTS OF LOSING STREAKS... AND THEN YOU TRADE ME???" Wright was angrier than DeJuan had ever seen him by a long shot, but DeJuan could see how betrayed his frontcourt teammate was.

"LISTEN, BRANDAN!" Zee Otoo yelled back. Then, totally unexpectedly, he added with a smile, "You two are actually going to be better off in Miami."

"Miami?!" DeJuan and Brandan asked simultaneously. DeJuan was so relieved that he wasn't sent to Cleveland or Washington that he joked, "Who'd ya get back? Chris Bosh?" Apparently Brandan Wright was somewhat cooled off, so much so that he smiled rather than screamed.

"What happened in the trade?" asked Brandan.

Zee Otoo immediately answered, "It was a three-team trade - between Charlotte, Miami, and us. Charlotte got Joel Anthony and Fred Jones, Miami received you two, and we got G-Hendo and the Birdman!"

Suddenly a surge of anger and disbelief went through DeJuan's body. "You traded us for Chris Andersen and Charlotte's tenth man?"

Zee Otoo had a quick reply, "It was better for the two of you. Brandan, you haven't got the playing time you deserve here and I want the best for you. Blair, same goes for you and I really couldn't have you and Tyson going at each other's throats all the time. DeJuan, you could become a starter right away in Miami, and Brandan, you could very well be his first backup.

DeJuan didn't even bother to tell his former team's owner that he and Tyson had apologized. It didn't matter anymore. He'd been traded and there was nothing he could possibly do about it. He just sat there, listening to what Otoo was telling them, but only the last two sentences stuck in his mind. "You guys need to be out of here and in Miami by Saturday, 'cos you have a game then, against us actually. Good bye, guys, have fun, and go win a ring alongside the Big Three."

I think the deal pretty much works well for you, Z. You get the same rebounding presence of DeJuan in the Birdman, just with an added shot-blocking presence. It's unfortunate you couldn't get the Greatness. (N)

NC Domination [12-7] Torched + Another Trade

Postby rise on Wed Apr 06, 2011 6:04 am

Heat Rip Domination To Shreds

In the worst loss in franchise history, the Domination lost by 39. "D-Wade killed us all night. LeBron and Bosh were big too. They kept going down low and they got Tyson Chandler, really the only guy who could guard them down there, in foul trouble. It's no surprise that they're a top team in this league." Those were Zee Otoo's only words after the game. Corey Harrington was speechless and Tyson Chandler was in disbelief. His play didn't get any better when DeJuan Blair, now his opponent, viciously blocked a shot attempt and assisted a Chalmers layup in the third quarter. Blair, though scoreless, had a good Heat debut including 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. "I love playing here. There's nothing like starting next to three All-Stars," DeJuan Blair said in a post-game interview, causing Tyson Chandler to cough his, Harrington's and Dudley's names loud enough for Blair to hear him.

Four-team Trade Relocates Sixteen Players

NCD: Sends: Adam Morrison, Chris Andersen, Pete Williams, Darryl Watkins | | | Receives: Desagana Diop, Paul George, Patrick Patterson, Ben Wallace
HOU: Sends: Antonio McDyess, Patrick Patterson, Luis Scola, Jordan Hill | | | Receives: Antonio McDyess, Taj Gibson, Tyler Hansbrough, Raef LaFrentz
GSW: Sends: Ben Wallace, Jason Terry, Marcus Jacobs | | | Receives: Adam Morrison, Chris Andersen, Darryl Watkins
IND: Sends: Desagana Diop, Paul George, Taj Gibson, Raef LaFrentz, Tyler Hansbrough | | | Receives: Jason Terry, Marcus Jacobs, Pete Williams, Luis Scola, Jordan Hill

Don't be shocked. Desagana Diop is a different kind of player this year. He's as good on defense as he's ever been, but in Indiana, he's worked extensively on his offense, as Indiana actually relied on him for it at times. As a backup for Raef LaFrentz, Diop made a strong bid for the starting spot, almost tripling his career-high to 7.9 points per game and also setting career-highs with 6.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. Also, for the first time in his career, he is playing 20 minutes per game. His fans are relieved that he is finally finding a chance to prove himself, although he may not find much time behind Tyson Chandler, but in big line-ups, they may play side-by-side. Another things that helps him find a decent team: he no longer has a 7-million-dollar price tag after Indiana bought out his contract and signed him to a $3-mil contract over three years. "I'm excited. I enjoyed my time with the Bobcats, being in the state of North Carolina, and I'm happy to be in that state again," Diop said in an interview.

As for the players the Domination gave up to get him, Zee Otoo gave these comments: "It killed me to trade Ammo. I wanted to send him to a place where he can work on his offensive consistency a little. Where else is better than Golden State for that? Don Nelson will take good care of him, and Ammo will learn to play some Nellieball! I didn't want to have to trade Birdman, but Chris was unhappy playing so few minutes a night, that I traded him before he could become a problem and I'm happy about who we got in return. Paul George is an up-and-coming player, so is Patrick Patterson. Ben Wallace brings some defense and will probably provide more veteran presence than actual playing time, because I think he's ready to retire. I actually went into this trade hoping to snag Luis Scola or Jason Terry, but I'm still happy with who I got in this trade." With the trade deadline hours away, Zee Otoo says he's content with the team now, but wouldn't say no to any offers that may come along.

Deadline Trades

With approximately a third of the season left, plus playoffs, some teams have really shaken things up.

CLE: Darrell Arthur, Michael Finley, Zaza Pachulia - Grade: D+
ATL: Daniel Green, Mo Williams, Kevin Seraphin - Grade: B-

Atlanta played well. Cleveland was trying to rid themselves of injured point guard Mo Williams and Atlanta snagged him at the low price of an ancient Michael Finley, terrible center Zaza Pachulia, and an injured, but otherwise improving, Darrell Arthur. The Hawks are in the midst of a horrible four game slump against Cleveland, Minnesota, Boston, and New Orleans and looked like a complete disaster, despite trading for former All-Star Boris Diaw last year. The biggest problem? Al Horford's ankle injury he sustained right before the All-Star break means they don't have a center. For the remainder of the season. Hopefully Boris Diaw can step up.

--

NCD: Gerald Henderson, Chris Andersen - Grade: B-
MIA: DeJuan Blair, Brandan Wright - Grade: B+
CHA: Joel Anthony, Fred Jones - Grade: C+

A good deal for Miami, who was desperately looking for a new center after Joel Anthony nearly fell out of the rotation. DeJuan Blair was a very capable center in his first season with North Carolina, but as many have figured out, he's been made expendable by Tyson Chandler. The Domination also gain another decent backup swingman with potential in Gerald Henderson. Charlotte replaces one decent center with another one that is less flamboyant in looks and nature, and looks ready to make another run deep into the playoffs.

--

LAL: Trevor Ariza, Greg Buckner - Grade: C+
POR: Ron Artest, Trey Johnson - Grade: B

The Lakers were tired of Ron Artest building enormous structures out of the bricks he chucked, but I'm not sure how Trevor Ariza will help with that, although he is a lot better than he used to be. Artest will improve Portland's already strong defense. Trey Johnson, last year a perennial D-League player, actually found himself starting for LA, while Ron Artest and Kobe Bryant were out with injuries.

--

NCD: Desagana Diop, Paul George, Patrick Patterson, Ben Wallace - Grade: C
HOU: Antonio McDyess, Taj Gibson, Tyler Hansbrough, Raef LaFrentz - Grade: B
GSW: Adam Morrison, Chris Andersen, Darryl Watkins - Grade: C-
IND: Jason Terry, Marcus Jacobs, Pete Williams, Luis Scola, Jordan Hill - Grade: A-

Indiana struck gold in this four-team deal. Golden State, aiming to free up cap space for the offseason, dumped All-Star Jason Terry and slumping rookie Marcus Jacobs and picked up Adam Morrison, Chris Andersen, and Darryl Watkins. Indiana picked up Terry, Jacobs, Houston big man Luis Scola, and rookie Pete Williams, while just giving up Paul George and a few scrubs. The Domination picked up a now decent, and improving, center in Desagana Diop, a rising Patrick Patterson, young talent in the form of Paul George, and an extraordinarily old Ben Wallace, while parting ways with Adam Morrison, Chris Andersen, and a couple of low-performing players. Ben Wallace should be able to teach Wilson Chandler and other developing players a thing or two about being superb defenders.

--

DAL: Richard Hamilton, Jonas Jerebko, Louis Amundson, Brad Miller, Andrew Bogut, Antawn Jamison, John Salmons - Grade: A+
DET: Jeremy Lin, Earl Watson, Paul Davis, Mike Harris - Grade: C-
MIL: Marc Gasol, Rodrigue Beaubois, Malik Hairston - Grade: B

Dallas is ready for a championship now. After deciding Marc Gasol, Jeremy Lin, Earl Watson, Rodrigue Beaubois, and Malik Hairston weren't keys to a championship, Dallas replaced them with Andrew Bogut, Antawn Jamison, John Salmons, Brad Miller, and Richard Hamilton. The Mavericks are starting to look as stacked at every position as this year's Western All-Star Team. Milwaukee gets some strong pieces in Roddy and Marc, and Detroit was obviously in this to dump monstrous contracts and to relieve ring-seeking veterans some stress (a.k.a. T-Mac). Dallas may have made the best trade in franchise history.

--

LAC: Brandon Roy, Luc Richard Mbah A Moute - Grade: B-
POR: Baron Davis, Eric Gordon - Grade: B+

Yes, I said "What?!?!" too. But at second glance, it looks quite good for both teams. Eric Gordon is fed up of LA, while Baron Davis sits on the bench with a bag of potato chips, ballooning toward 260 pounds again. (Not really) Rookie Paul Giles is doing such a fantastic job at point guard for the Clips, Baron Davis is now expendable. Brandon Roy is injured again, after having the best 13 games of his career. Mbah a Moute seems to be thrown in the trade to get 15 players on each team. Portland, however, looks to see how a quartet of Lamarcus Aldridge, Ron Artest, Baron Davis, and Eric Gordon works out.

--

CHA: Nick Young - Grade: B
WAS: D.J. Augustin - Grade: B-
NJN: Nate Robinson - Grade: B+
BOS: Terrence Williams - Grade: C+

You have to wonder what Boston's doing. At the rate they're going, they might miss the playoffs altogether. Their trio is getting old, and now they replace Nate Robinson, one of their only sources of energy on the bench, with Terrence Williams. At least Nate Robinson and Glen Davis are together again. In New Jersey. For Charlotte, Nick Young will impress from off the bench, although DJ Augustin and John Wall both play point guard in Washington. It's not good if two of your best three players play the same position. Maybe DJ Augustin can thrive as a 5'10 shooting guard.

--

OKC: Evan Turner - Grade: C
PHI: Michael Beasley - Grade: B-

OK, we know the Thunder already have Tayshaun Prince and Jeff Green, but Michael Beasley isn't expendable! At least trade him for someone of some value instead of the bust Evan Turner, who averages just 7 points per game in Philadelphia this season. As for Philly, Beasley might have to take the bench again, with Young, Brand, and rookie Morinoskovic playing well for the 76ers.

--

NYK: Anderson Varejao, Jermaine O'Neal, Robin Lopez, Dante Cunningham, Jerryd Bayless - Grade: B-
PHX: Amar'e Stoudemire, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Jannero Pargo, Steve Novak, Walter Sharpe - Grade: A

With Amar'e upset with the way things fell apart in New York, he asked for a trade. He got one, right back to Phoenix. Everybody's happy, New York got quite a bit back in Varejao and Jerryd Bayless, and Phoenix gets their trio of Steve Nash, Jason Richarson, and Amar'e Stoudemire back. Nobody, Amar'e included, could have possibly asked for anything more, to be back to the place where he made his career the way it is today. Unfortunately, the Suns may have to wait a couple weeks before Amar'e can play due to a badly sprained ankle. Jerryd Bayless, will suit up for his fifth team in sixteen years. He's gone from Portland, to North Carolina, to New Jersey, to Phoenix, and now to New York since October 2010. This includes eight months with the Domination. He doesn't really mind as long as he starts somewhere.

--

TOR: Rudy Gay, Josh Powell - Grade: C+
MEM: Andrea Bargnani, Demar Derozan, Brent Petway - Grade: B

What does this accomplish? As for Rudy Gay wanting to go to a place where he could stand out, hellllloooooo, you're on an equally crappy team now! Memphis gets a good deal, getting former lottery picks Andrea Bargnani and Demar Derozan. Sources indicate that both may come off the bench for the rest of the regular season, something Demar may not be too happy with. Although the puzzling fact is Bargs is a natural power forward, but Memphis insists on starting Robert Swift there. They wonder why they're 16th in the East?

--

ORL: Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, Travis Outlaw - Grade: B
NJN: Brandon Bass, Hidayet Turkoglu, Jameer Nelson - Grade: B+

Dwight Howard has solid backup now with Brook Lopez, as Brandon Bass has just been terrible this season. The two playing together will be outright scary though. Nelson and Harris swap jerseys, but neither is really an upgrade over the other. Hedo Turkoglu instead of Travis Outlaw is a big upgrade for New Jersey though. This shake-up could prove to be quite interesting for both teams.

--

GSW: Josh Howard - Grade: C-
WAS: Chris Andersen - Grade: B-

Okay...? Once again, this trade seems to accomplish nothing. All it does is get Birdman pissed off that he's been traded from Denver to Charlotte to North Carolina to Golden State to Washington in the span of a little over a year. Also, do really need Chris Andersen if you already have Javale McGee? Also, Golden State has no real need for Josh Howard. This move was probably the beginning of destruction for both rosters.

Good teams usually trade to get better in Live 2003, I wouldn't be surprised to see Dwight Howard or someone sign with the Mavs in the offseason.

:turrible: deal for the Rockets. I don't like Hansbrough, and we basically downgraded all over the PF position.

I agree with you on that, but only somewhat. You have to remember rookie Bryce Fletcher starts at the 4, plus Luis Scola isn't doing much this season. Whether it's old age or his injury at the end of last season that's slowing him down, I don't know. He's averaging 6ppg/4rpg this season. Fletcher is a 15/8 guy. (Y) Don't worry though, Taj Gibson will be an upgrade over Scola here. Hansbrough's decent even though I don't like him either, while LaFrentz and McDyess should add a little more depth to the center position. By the way, I don't believe that I've put in injury reports at all into this franchise. I'll start doing it regularly next season. Anyway, Yao's out for the season again (broken foot). So are Greg Oden's knee and Al Horford's ankle.

Dallas? I dislike your trade, Blair is a young energetic and strong guy, sure Henderson is a very good player, but Blair I think is better.

I traded him for size plus role players. Diop takes his place and in the games I've played with Diop, he's played better than Blair this season. Plus the additions of George and Henderson are pretty good. (Y) Also Patterson's good. Big Ben is so slow because of his age he's impossible to play with.
In real life, Blair's better than all the people I traded for combined.

Red-Hot Kings Stretch Win Streak To Five In Domination's Loss To Sac-Town

After starting 1-17, the Kings have won five straight against the Hornets, Cavaliers, Celtics, Nets, and now the Domination. Second pick Devin Andrews has teamed with Tyreke Evans and Demarcus Cousins to form a very solid young trio, along with two other solid contributors in Danillo Gallinari and Tyrus Thomas. This consistent starting line-up has worked wonders for Sacramento. Demarcus Cousins has evolved into a defensive stud, while Devin Andrews and Tyreke Evans scare opposing backcourts with their speed and athleticism. This certainly happened tonight. Tyson Chandler was held to 3-12 shooting and nine rebounds, while the rest of the team held the Domination to a very low FG percetage, while they torched the Domination with midrange shots and points in the paint.

Jared Dudley, held to just 2-12 from outside, found a way around Devin Andrews' choke hold late in the third quarter and scored 20 points in the fourth quarter by playing a two-man with Corey Harrington. Harrington assisted nine of Jared Dudley's ten fourth quarter buckets. After the game, Jared Dudley was interviewed and said, "I've rarely been impressed this much by a rookie I've played with or against. Devin Andrews and my own teammate, Corey Harrington, are probably the two most dynamic rookie guards I've ever played with or against." He went on to say that he had never been defended that well by a guard of Andrews' size and that he was impressed by the Kings' rookie's versatility. "If he was taller, he could probably guard any position. He guards 1s, 2s, 3s, and 4s so early in his career, he's only gonna get scarier." Watch out for Devin Andrews. He is currently second in Rookie of the Year rankings, but a distant second, behind Corey Harrington. Andrews has stats of 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

Domination Bury Short-Handed Wolves

The Wolves got decent production considering both frontcourt starters, Kosta Koufos and Kevin Love, missed the game with sprained ankles. In their absence, the other 60% of the line-up really produced, racking up exactly 20 points apiece and key players played their roles well. Unfortunately, the Wolves without Kevin Love's 12 rebounds per game don't have what it takes to beat a fired-up playoff team, which, surprisingly, fits the eighteen-month old Domination franchise.

Corey Harrington had a truly outstamding night with 22 points, 9 assists, and 7 steals and was the game's in all three of those stats. Jared Dudley also had a strong defensive night, but could not get his offense going at all, finishing the game with just 13 points, but he had 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 assists. After the game, Jared Dudley talked what his goals for the future are. "I'm trying to become a more all-around player. I'm playing more positions than I ever have before. I used to be just a swingman, but now I've played some time as a point guard, and if I can get stronger and more athletic over the next year or so, my aim is to be able to play at the four for stretches. My rebounding and my inside offensive game has improved and I want to be able to take advantage of that." Jared Dudley played every position other than center in the game, and he aims to do that more often.

Corey Harrington: "Yeahhhhh... I Think We Destroyed Them"

Even though Indiana's rookie point guard C.J. Scot is way too trigger-happy when it comes to threes, he was still able to burn right through the Domination's defense. However, he was the only Pacer, other than Jason Terry, who was able to do that. And they now from experience that two guys can't win games. It takes a team effort to win games and the Domination showed them that with a 17-point win.

The Pacers used a former Dominator against North Carolina, as did NC against Indiana. Rookie Pete Williams was traded to Indiana in a trade that brought former Pacers Desagana Diop and Paul George to NC. Williams had 13 points, while Diop and George played strong defense to stop Indiana from scoring.

Corey Harrington deserves a lot of credit. C.J. Scot is third in line for Rookie of the Year with 19 points and 9 assists a game. Had C.J. Scot shot his usual percentage from the field with the same number of shots he took, he could have crossed 50 without a problem. Everytime Scot got the ball, Harrington was all over him, not even giving him enough space to pass the rock. For Scot, his natural move is to shoot. Under that much pressure, he made four of sixteen shots from outside and ten of thirty from the field. Two memorable lines came out of an interview with Corey Harrington: "Yeahhhhh... I think we destroyed them..." and "Who the hell does he think he is? Kobe?" The Domination will have a real reason to laugh if they can beat the Celtics tomorrow night.

NC Domination [15-11] J-Dud On Fire

Jared Dudley Scorches Boston in OT, Scores Franchise Record 48 Points

There were some big stat lines in this game. Kendrick Perkins scored 16 points and 20 rebounds, while Rajon Rondo had 25 and 18 assists. KG, Allen, and Pierce combined for an additional 65, but none of those even compared with Jared Dudley's monstrous total of 48 points and 10 rebounds. One may look down upon the fact he jacked up 39 shots and 16 of those were three-pointers, but Jared Dudley had an argument. He was nailing those shots. He shot 8-16 from outside and went 11-23 from the inside. Paul Pierce admitted it himself. "J-Dud's hard to guard when he gets in a groove. He just completely took over the game. This isn't a team I'd want to face in the playoffs - not with Dudley on the roster." Dudley's 48 breaks his own record of 45, also the franchise record. It also gives him the third-highest point total of the entire season. Only Kevin Martin (56) and Kevin Durant (51) have scored above 45 points this season.

Jared Dudley Stays Hot But Can't Lift NC Over NJ

Troy Murphy has registered a double-double in a lot of games this season, and this game was no execption. His averages of 16/9 and a three-pointer per game has really kept Troy Murphy happy all season no matter what happens in New Jersey. Speaking of happy, Shrek and Donkey are together again! Due to the deadline trade that sent Terrence Williams to Boston, and last year's trade that sent Glen Davis to New Jersey for Anthony Morrow, Krypto-Nate and Big Baby are playing together again. They played well: Davis had 8 points and 8 boards while the 5'9 Robinson put up a team-high 21.

Meanwhile, Jared Dudley put up another strong statline of 29 points and 12 rebounds, and he shot 6 of 12 from outside. Anthony Morrow played strong against his former team, scoring 14 and grabbing two stray passes from newly-acquired Jameer Nelson. Nelson struggled with just 2 points, 2 assists, 5 fouls, and 5 turnovers. In a post-game interview, Nets rookie Eric Capell said, "The game seemed like a trainwreck for most of us here for the team. I credit Troy Murphy and Nate Robinson for this win. It was a sloppy game by the rest of us, though and I'm surprised we won!"

NJN: 19|42|59|92| Troy Murphy: 20 points (8-13 FG%, 1-3 3P%, 3-3 FT%), 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks, 2 fouls, 1 turnover

Chuck Hayes Stings North Carolina Without Scoring Much

6'6 center Chuck Hayes doesn't really have to bother about scoring when he has Kevin Martin, Caron Butler, and Aaron Brooks, who can put 20 points apiece at will? Lil' Chucky decided he wanted to do everything else tonight, so he went out and recorded game-highs in rebounds, assists, steals, AND blocks! According to Hayes, "I just do what I gotta do, and sometimes I go all out. This was one of those nights." He wasn't the only Rocket blasting off: Caron Butler, Kevin Martin, and Aaron Brooks all recorded big-time point totals. Okay, maybe for Martin, who scored 56 last month against Detroit, it wasn't so big-time, but still, 24 points is respectable, even if he couldn't get his threes off. Aaron Brooks got more than half of his 20 points at the foul line, eventually getting Corey Harrington to foul out scoreless. Caron Butler nearly got Dudley to foul out too, but Dudley racked up 24.

Gerald Henderson is struggling, to put it lightly. After the newly-acquired guard's 0-7 performance, Zee Otoo said, "I want him to play well. He'll come through eventually, and I'll give him the minutes so that he can overcome it." The Domination knew they had blown it when they looked at the scoreboard after the third quarter ended. They saw they were down by fifteen, despite playing all five starters the entire quarter. Acie Law and Anthony Morrow tried to light it up, but they could not. During this stretch, Caron Butler was busy racking up points as well. He finished with a game-high 25 points.

HOU: 22|45|78|108| Chuck Hayes: 8 points (2-2 FG%, 0-0 3P%, 4-4 FT%), 17 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks, 2 fouls, 1 turnover
