Have you thought about start Turner at SG & sliding Chandler to starting SF?

I had Carlos Boozer for a couple of years which put me over the top. He decided to test the free agent waters and sign with Dallas.

I like Turner's firepower off the bench. I have a nice triangle offense with him, Gallo & Douglas. Right now I only have to worry about four starters getting enough shots. Booker's more of a defensive/rebounding/garbage points player, which is perfect. Starting Turner creates too much of a logjam and hurts my bench strength.

Started an association with the Bulls. Added Wall and Turner to the draft and planned to get Turner.

Traded away Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich among others and received Camby and Crawford. I started the season 0-11 (29 games) and was like yeah, I'm gonna get Turner. But then I finished with 14-4 the rest of the way (all simulated) and made the Playoffs as the 8th seed and went against the Magic.

I swept them 3-0 (still all sim), and swept the Hawks in the next round as well. I finally lost in the Eastern Finals against the Wizards, who went off to win the title. Arenas was Finals MVP.

In the off-season, I lost Tyrus Thomas to the Cavs, Camby retired. Didn't resign Brad Miller, Jannero Pargo, Jerome James etc. So I had a lot of cap space. The best FA available were Joe Johnson, Rudy Gay and Carlos Boozer.

So I signed Boozer and tried to sign Gay as well, but I was out of cap space to sign him to a 10M annual deal. So I signed Dorell Wright, Ben Wallace, Ronnie Price. I was still in need of a big guy to sit in the IR so I signed Brad Miller. Only wanted 800K annually.

After 1 game I traded Carlos Boozer for Kevin Garnett and a bit later Jamal Crawford for Rip Hamilton. I tried to get Bosh for Boozer with Patsatzoglou (R) and my first pick. But the Raptors wanted Noah as well and I wasn't willing to give away my best rebounder.

My line-up for the Playoffs :

C - Joakim Noah
PF - Kevin Garnett
SF - Lambros Patsatzoglou (Rookie, 18th pick, very impressive)
SG - Rip Hamilton
PG - Derrick Rose
--------
John Salmons, Taj Gibson, Dorell Wright, Ben Wallace, Brad Miller, Daequan Cook, Ronnie Price

Simulated the Playoffs and I reached the Finals against the Lakers. Split the first 4 games, won the 5th and then played the 6th. It was complete domination. I went ahead 14-2, 35-10 and at halftime, the score was 72-24.

The Lakers were a strong team. They had Kobe, Pau, Bynum, Artest, T-Mac and Kendrick Perkins. They're only weakness was the point as they had 2 rookie PG-s.
The second half was more even and I went off to win 117-66. D-Rose was Finals MVP with 21 ppg and 11 apg.

Not many big moves during the off-season. Lost Noah to the Blazers, but signed Tyson Chandler and sent him with some rookie to the Blazers for Noah.

So quick question guys: which team do you dislike most in the league right now apart from the top tier teams like LA or Cleveland?

And what do you think about the Mavs in the game? Interesting to play with? Boring?

Re: The "How is your Association going" Thread

boring: just give it to dirk the whole game and win. Not that i dislike dirk but i just dont see the challenge when you have someone that good at outside and inside scoring.

So, everyone wanted me to run an offline dynasty and post sporadic updates in this thread, so here it goes. Started one with Detroit.

At the trade deadline, in a 3-team deal, acquired Amare from Phoenix. I traded Prince to Philadelphia, Kwame to Phoenix, and the Sixers sent Iguodala to the Suns. So my lineup would be Stuckey, Hamilton, Gordon, Amare and Ben Wallace. Didn't make the playoffs but in the offseason signed Udonis Haslem, then traded Villanueva and someone else, can't remember, to Charlotte for Gerald Wallace (didn't have a really good season).

So my lineup is Stuckey, Hamilton, Wallace, Haslem, Amare, with Hamilton and Big Ben from the bench, made the playoffs as the 3rd seed, win 4-1 the first series against Indiana, then I get a 3-0 lead against Boston but lose 4-3 :shake: Thoughts?

How the heck are you through 2 seasons?!? Unheard of

I don't mind that new Pistons' team that you have as has more defensive heart (Wallace, Haslem). I like that you have kept Rip & Big Ben. So why is Hamilton starting & coming off the bench? I'm assuming Gordon is the starter & Rip off the bench?

Good to see you lose to Celtics, don't want you getting too good too quick.

Still not sure about Amar'e in Detroit, but anything's possible I guess (Y)

Lots and lots of simulation. Some of you will say "that how you should post a story", but it's not my style :P I would say in two season I only played around 15 games.

The X wrote:I'm assuming Gordon is the starter & Rip off the bench?

Ah, my bad. Nope, Gordon from the bench as the team spark. Rip's getting old.

Your style is failing.

I know it's failing bro, that's clear as crystal :P I'm thinking of some things to change the Nets layouts.

I like the current layout. Keep it simple.

I know some of you like it, but as X said, it's nothing but recaps. I want to change it to add some things as well.

Well, then stop complaining and change it!

Don't change it. Just add different features?

Oznogrd, yeah that may be right, Dirk's really strong in the game.

The others kinda ignored my question, so here's it once again:

Re: The "How is your Association going" Thread

Hova, I think you should do a Philadelphia or other 2k10 Association & use draft classes that I create & provide to you from my Penn State College Hoops 2k8 Legacy so that my players live on & so I won't have to run a parallel 2k10 Association. There, I said it. With 2k Share on PS3, it's a possibility :P

EDIT: But since I should answer the question, outside of the top teams, I also don't like Golden State (owner) or Miami (they cheated Mavs).

Anyone has the current draft class for PC? Don't really want to make them myself.

Re: The "How is your Association going" Thread

speaking of which...its not possible to get real draft classes in nba2k9 without editing prospects on console right?

Oznogrd wrote:speaking of which...its not possible to get real draft classes in nba2k9 without editing prospects on console right?

Correct. In NBA 2k8 you can import (hard to get accurate draft positions though) from CH 2k8. In NBA 2k10 you can either edit or download & import draft classes made by other people, which is what most of us do. Unfortunately in NBA 2k9 you can only edit the draft classes, which is very time consuming. Generics are alright though, you just need to give them some character & back story.

I spent several hours making draftees for Nellieball. Honestly, if not for the ability to download draft classes, I would be sticking with 2K9 for the superior gameplay.

Just started an association with the Suns. Rosters from the beginning, just a trade: D. DeRozan (to Suns) <--> T.Griffin, E. Clark ( to Raptors)

so, my roster is like:

PG: Nash | Dragic
SG: Richardson | Barbosa | DeRozan
SF: Hill | Dudley | Tucker
PF: Stoudemire | Amundson
C: Frye | R. Lopez | Collins

i'm seriously thinking about trading Nash and/or Hill, as I would get some good players for them now. Later on, nobody would know :?

So I think I might go with a Mavs dynasty and write in here everynow and then. I have one test left on Friday and with the deadline being on Thursday it seems to fit perfectly for me to run a dynasty after that. I'm just not sure if I want to make a coverage like my Bobcats one once again. Right now I don't feel like doing so. This thread seems appropriate then.

Butler and Haywood make this team very very good. The only thing I do not like about the trade is that Drew Gooden got include, since he is a top rebounder and a good defender and scorer as well imho.

Re: The "How is your Association going" Thread

Wed Feb 17, 2010 5:25 am

The Mavs are great now. And I didn't mind Gooden's entry, as Haywood is a better defender and about the same level rebounder. They still have Dampier down there as well who's a great rebounder.

Started up a new Knicks Association with the updated rosters. First time the Knicks have had a legit star since Patrick. Got off to a quick 6-0 start with T-Mac & Chandler leading the way, averaging 26.6 & 17.7 points, respectfully. Just got pounded by Houston, 107-94 - too much Brooks outside and Yao inside. Knicks are second in the conference behind the undefeated Cavs at 7-0.

Starters:
PG - C.Duhon
SG/SF - T.McGrady
SF/SG - W.Chandler
PF/SF - A.Harrington
C/PF - D.Lee

Bench:
PF/SF/SG - D.Gallinari
PG - T.Douglas
SG - E.House
SF/PF - J.Bender
C - E.Curry
PG - S.Rodriguez
SF - B.Walker

Reserves:
SG - J.Giddens

Depending on match-ups, I'll switch T-Mac & Chandler's positions. Bench scoring is no problem, with Curry inside, Gallo & House outside. We're weaker defensively without Jeffries. His ability to guard the 2, 3 & 4 is sorely missed.

I think you should trade Al for a true center like Gortat
