Washington Wizards (12-9) at Charlotte Bobcats (9-7) at 7:00pm est - Away Team Box Score - Home Team Box Score

THE STORYLINE: It hasn't been a great past month for the Wizards, this past week the team and especially the coach came underfire from the Washington Media, Wall rebounded giving one of his best performences of the season.

WHAT WE SAW:

Battle of Kentucky: John Wall came into the game averaging 19.6 points per game and 15.5 assists per game, Wall against Brandon Knight a heavily hyped rookie from Kentucky couldn't stop Wall who recorded 29 points (11 of 23) and 18 assists, he also recorded 5 steals. Knight also had a good game, recording 25 points (11 of 18) after having a poor first half, Knight also recorded 7 assists but did turn the ball over 6 times in the loss.

The Wizards better this year despite record: The Wizards have suffered at times a championship hangover, but a line that boasts Wall, Lewis, DeRozan, Iverson, Howard and Blatche is one that can be cheerful, they might not have the best line in the NBA, but all are unselfish and especially Wall want to see the team win, not his stats padding for awards.

John Wall was named for the third consecutive time this season, the East's player of the month. He also won the player of the week for a third consecutive time, and four times in five weeks.

Brandon Knight has won the East's rookie of the year award three consecutive month's straight. Both are looking to sweep the six months this season.

Wall has played in 22 games so far, recording 20.0 points per game, 15.6 assists per game, 4.1 steals per game and is shooting .489% of his field goals. He currently leads the MVP Awards and is currently the East's starting point guard in the All-Star contest, he's winning in the votes in a landslide, the game will be played later this month.

Indiana Pacers (3-11) at Washington Wizards (13-9) at 7:00pm est - Away Team Box Score - Home Team Box Score

THE STORYLINE: The Washington Wizards played their best game of the season tonight, they looked unstoppable in the first period, I haven't seen another team play a better first quarter than the Wizards. Washington built an early 11-0 lead after going 7 of 10 on three pointers early on, they never gave the lead up, but just built on it.

WHAT WE SAW:

Purist Player: John Wall is currently leading the efficiency stat. Wall is recording an efficiency of 30.6, second place Lebron James is recording a 30.3 efficiency whilst Dwight Howard, third, is recording an 38.9 efficiency. Wall was on fire during the first period, Wall recorded 20 points, 8 assists and 2 steals during that period, he finished recording 31 points, 18 assists and 4 steals.

Cleveland Cavaliers (10-11) at Washington Wizards (14-9) at 7:00pm est - Away Team Box Score - Home Team Box Score

THE STORYLINE: The Wizards are now on their first three game win streak since mid December, one month and a half ago, Rashard Lewis showed the world he still has it and the Wizards defense stepped up yet again.

WHAT WE SAW:

More Mo' More Problems: Mo Williams recorded 20 points, the most by a Cavalier, but he didn't record his first points until he scored late, late in the third quarter, from there on the Wizards didn't pay attention to the slippery point guard who racked up 9 assists but also turned the ball over 9 times.

Perfection: It wasn't perfection, perfection, but DeMar DeRozan had a quality game, recording 20 points and shooitng 9 of 10 on field goals, Wall recorded 18 points and 14 assists although he played sparsely in his 16 minutes.

Milwaukee Bucks (2-12) at Washington Wizards (15-9) at 7:00pm est - Away Team Box Score - Home Team Box Score

THE STORYLINE: The Wizards top Bucks who skid to 2-13, they were hoping for playoffs this season, doesn't look like that's happening.

WHAT WE SAW:

Triple-D: There has been a lot of hype and talk about John Wall becoming the MVP of the league this season, he solidified it even more with a triple double against the bucks, Wall went 12 of 26 on field goals to record 29 points and added 10 steals and 18 assists to his resume.

Buck'd: Brandon Jennings had his worst game of his career, Jennings shot 5 of 21 for 15 points, did record 11 assists and 5 rebounds but turned the ball over a career high 15 times.

Los Angeles Clippers (7-10) at Washington Wizards (16-9) at 7:00pm est - Away Team Box Score - Home Team Box Score

THE STORYLINE: Los Angeles Clippers came to Washington looking to upset the Wizards and end their four game win streak.

WHAT WE SAW:

Griffin Beast Mode: Blake Griffin showed why he was the #1 overall draft pick in 2009, Blake recorded 19 points and 14 rebounds, he hit 7 of his 10 field goals and outplayed the #1 overall draft pick in 2010 by quite some distance.

Blown Lead: The Wizards blew a nice lead in the second quarter, and was held to just 9 points in that perioid, the Wizards defense hasn't shown up all year until recently, but when they do show up, the offense doesn't.

Postby thatwizardguy on Thu Dec 30, 2010 7:35 am

The Clippers game was infact game 26, i did copy and paste wrong somewhere...

John Wall won the player of the week award for the fifth time in a row, and I traded cry baby bobby brown to the Bucks for a 2nd round draft pick, he wanted out because of his playing time, so i sent some tissues to milwaukee as well.

Washington Wizards (16-10) at San Antonio Spurs (14-8) at 7:30pm est - Away Team Box Score - Home Team Box Score

THE STORYLINE: The Wizards visited the Spurs for a classic heavyweight matchup, the game was close until the Wizards started hitting 3 pointers non stop which put them out of reach.

WHAT WE SAW:

Perfect Pointers: Cartier Martin went 4 of 4 on three pointers to give him 12 points, John Wall hit 10 of 19 field goals for 22 points and added 15 assists into one of the highest scoring games the Wizards have been in this season.

Parker Unstoppable: In a losing effort, Tony Parker played solid. Parker hit 12 of 21 field goals for 36 points, added 5 boards and recorded 12 assists, if the Spurs defense had managed to contain the Wizards offense, his effort may of gone more noticed.
