Re: [6-7] Da Clip Show | Hmm...

I enjoy the game with all teams. This thing of blackouts and corruptions actually happened to me at least a dozen times, I'm not kidding. They weren't excuses to start new threads. Backups were fine but it's just me, when it goes down I don't want to know everything about that team for at least a year  But it's really frustrating for me when I don't see any comments :x

That's just the way it is. You'd probably have a dozen more replies if not for my boycott (lifted after 20 games). Gotta break this out: :boohoo:

Why are you doing this, man? If I did one last story, would you follow it? Weekly and two sentences recaps? :cheeky:

Re: [6-7] Da Clip Show | Hmm...

Wed Jan 27, 2010 2:22 pm

I'd follow it if I had reason to believe it would keep going. A 29 game schedule would help. :P

That's what I always do. I play 29 and sim the rest. I just gave the simmed games the same (and some times more) space than played games. :shake:

That's gonna change. Celtics are the frontrunner for my new squad.

I don't really got it what's with the replies for me what more important is the views, look at yours Lamrock it's in 2k + views and its only on 6th page while mine is only 3k but it's in 10th page.. don't know if I should continue it because I'm too busy as of now

Thierry., And you can't start doing this with your Kings because...? The Celtics will get even less replies, considering they are already a top 3 team in the league. Start a new one if you want, but it won't improve your popularity as a dynasty maker, or have any more success.

dare, Meh. A lot of the views are spam bots. I prefer replies, but thats not the point of dynasties.

I will change the Celts roster with the players I like. That will be better for me, I don't care if I go down to the lottery again.

Okay Thierry, I have a potentially awesome Celtics dynasty idea that was floating in my head the other day. A what-if scenario where they get the #2 pick, draft Durant, and don't trade for KG and Ray Allen. Rondo - Pierce - Durant - Jefferson - Perkins - I think its a nifty idea at least.

So your going to back in the year 2007/08

It's good but the thing is, Sit made me hate Durant with my heart and soul. :P I will let Allen leave at the offseason.

dare, I was thinking something more along the lines of this

Thierry., No, that's really not good enough, because you won't get to the offseason. And it doesn't need to be Durant. You could have them taking anybody (Oden, Green, Horford, w/e), the point is a "what if" dynasty, about them having one of the most important offseasons in recent history.

Well I did that with the Blazers getting Odom and not Miller... I know it's not "one of the most important offseasons in recent history", but I've already done that.

I will revamp the layout completely for the C's. This one goes for your sig:

Thierry. wrote:I will revamp the layout completely for the C's. The Celts will last! If they don't work, that will be my last story for a couple of months.

This is actually a really cool idea (Y)

Whatever man. Do what you want. Its your free time.

Blazers probably aren't happening. Good idea on paper, but it just isn't working out. The team is too stacked, and I love all the players (even the ones I hate - Aldridge and Blake), ruining the rebuilding element. I wish I could continue this, but the patch pretty much ruins it.

Which brings me to my next possibility: The Timberwolves. It is a big undertaking, but I've always wanted to completely rebuild an awful team. (Nellieball doesn't count because the Warriors were and are so loaded with talent that it was easy to trade for working parts and only a retard like Nellie could lead them to consecutive 50+ loss seasons) Of course, I love Love (heh), and am not a fan of Al Jeff, so I might make the Granger swap.

Meh, time will tell. Dynasties are supposed to be fun, not a stressful clusterfuck like today. (on the bright side, this has a lot more replies now.)

I guess you just have to do what's the most fun for you. The lack of responds is definitely there, but it's for the whole section. Personally, I just don't have the time to hang around here a lot recently. With exams on the 4th, 8th, 16th and 19th there's a lotta stuff to do right now. As long as my D lasted, I had fun and did this in my free time. Right now I only play some NBA today games when I have time, like 5 mins a quarter. I hope I can get back to action after my tests, but I am not sure wether or not I will start a new one. It's just like despite the fun I had with my Cats, it also took a lot of time. And I don't see myself right now to invest this time again.

We will see. The T-Wolves are interesting, but I played with them against NYK yesterday and they are about 5 times worse than the Cats. Kinda tough.

For Thierry, I don't think that things will ever change. You will start D after D and end D after D because of the lack of answers. I'm kind of loosing my hope.

Actually that is a great idea, too much work I think but for you I think that's an easy task.. that will be a "what if dynasty" :D

Re: [6-7] Da Clip Show | Hmm...

T-wolves aren't a bad idea. I was actually thinking of doing a Golden Gopher-T'wolves combo but thought better of it. Problem I've found with starting any new NBA Associations, there just are not any interesting hooks. Back in the day it was expansion Bobcats or trying to clean up the Jailblazers. I just don't find any of the teams that interesting. If it wasn't for my love of Bogut's game I wouldn't have touched the Bucks. I can see why Jae has done his Association the way he has and I can see why I'm drawn back to College Hoops 2k8.

As for this Association, you should probably just end it. Honestly I can't see the point of continuing to clear the cache. If you do want to do another one, make it fresh, change it up, incorporate some rules to contain your interest, plus sim a season into future.

I'm not happy at all with that. It's just me, I get frustrated. As I said I'm making my last story with Boston and then retire from the business for a couple of months

The X, Thanks for the advice X, I completely agree about the lack of dynasty hooks right now. Minny seems like the only enjoyable rebuilding project. I hate Flynn and Al Jeff but Kevin Love and Ramon Sessions are two of my favorites. David Kahn being fired is believable too.

I'm thinking of going with an 82 game season like Nellieball, but employing the 29 games played strategy (Its a good strategy, Thierry just blew it by including equal recaps for simmed games) and not making moves until February. I think I'll start from this season though. I know nothing about the 2011 draft class (and how 2012 and 2013 draft class downloads exist I have no idea, though it makes me a little sad to think that I'll never make the NBA :P)

Other than the glitch, I'm really enjoying 2K10, and I like making dynasties. I was really starting to get into this one and refine my recaps a bit, but I've been trying to make a Wolves dynasty for over a year. (I started one in 2K9 right before I lost all interest in basketball and went into a deep Winter depression)

Don't think I'll be doing story recaps, so sorry dare and anybody else who enjoyed those.

I know I blew it, I couldn't blow it in better fashion. That's all gonna change now, believe me.

Haha, this thread has turned into something else. Thierry with his false promises, and me pondering a new dynasty. Even if player roles is magically fixed in the next 24 hours, this thread is damaged goods.

May as well start that Blazers one!

Re: [6-7] Da Clip Show | Hmm...

Thu Jan 28, 2010 11:56 am

Nah. Was going to, but starting from the beginning of this season, starting from the middle of the season and starting from next season all had issues, and I don't like using teams with the pieces to win a title right off the bat. I like teams that are the opposite. (Like the Wolves)

You should reunite some of the Jailblazers, Sheed, Randolph, O'Neal, Bonzi etc.
