Minnesota ends losing streak with a win against the Bulls Luol Deng was given a hard time by Corey Brewer in the 4th quarter.
January 30, 2010
Minnesota (AP) – Al Jefferson led the Wolves to a 93 – 81 win against the Chicago Bulls to stop their losing streak to 7.
After the Bulls win in their home court yesterday and give the Wolves its 7 consecutive loss the Wolves were more than ready to win this game.
“We were hungry for this win, we just can’t handle the losses that we had anymore and here we are we play like a team.” Jefferson said.
Al Jefferson finished with a double-double 23 points and 10 rebounds. Ramon Sessions chip in 18 points while Tayshaun Prince added 16 points. Corey Brewer was a key player in this game he came off the bench with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
“I just proved the coach that if he will give me more playing time I can contribute to this team.” Brewer said.
“He (Corey) played great actually the whole team played great basketball they all step up in defense.” Kurt Rambis said.
Defense was the key for the Wolves win as they held the Bulls to just 38 % shooting.
Luol Deng led the Bulls with 25 points and 11 rebounds but did not score in the 4th quarter.
“They tighten up their defense in me in the 4th I just couldn’t find an easy shot.” Deng said.
Even though Deng did not scored in the 4th Derrick Rose and John Salmons led the Bulls rally as the both of them scored a combined 24 points in the 4th but it wasn’t enough as they went on to lose the game.

Around the League Two Major Trades Just before the end of the month two major trades occur to stir things up in the league the teams involve are the Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers. ![]()
The Los Angeles Lakers receive the highflying guard Jason Richardson in exchange for young center Andrew Bynum.
The Phoenix Suns would to add strength in their front court by adding Andrew Bynum, Bynum will be a big key in terms of defense as he will be the only legitimate center in the Suns roster.

Deron Williams said he wants to be traded that he wants a winning team, now the Utah Jazz traded Carlos Boozer and journeyman Trey Gilder for Detroit's Rip Hamilton and Ben Wallace. By acquiring Hamilton they will now have a solid shooting guard who can score on his own while Wallace will give them a solid center.
The Pistons move clearly shows that they have plans in the future after trading Prince early in the season everybody knows that Rip is on the move too. While bringing in Boozer is not in their future plans they will now have a big man who can fight with the rebounds and unloading Hamilton will provide more playing time for Gordon and Stuckey. Gilder maybe start because he averages 12.7 PPG in 26 starts this season.
Player Stats:
R.Hamilton 19.8 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 7.6 APG, 1.52 SPG, 0.45 BPG
B.Wallace 2.2 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 1.6 APG, 0.65 SPG, 1.24 BPG
C.Boozer 18.9 PPG, 9.8 RPG, 2.6 APG, 0.87 SPG, 1.32 BPG
T.Gilder 5.2 PPG, 1.87 RPG, 1.64 APG, 1.02 SPG, 1.35 BPG

ouch. that would probably be one of the worst trades in the history of their franchise.
