Only 4 elite teams barge into the 40-win record. The LA Lakers secured the top spot, the Boston Celtics 2nd, while the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs finished tied but Houston won the season series versus San Antonio to grab the 3rd spot overall and solo 2nd in the West standings. The Cavs struggled with Lebron averaging 14 ppg, way below Kobe's 25.8 ppg to lead the NBA in scoring. The Heat (7), Bucks (8) and Nets finished tied but both Miami and Milwaukee won their season series, leaving New Jersey for an early vacation. The Darkhorse could be the Clippers (west) or Sixers (east). While Memphis, Oklahoma, Charlotte, New york and Washington will have higher lottery percentage, and hope the ball bounces to their hand to secure the #1 pick in the coming NBA Draft.
