European Great Targeted For Front Office Job

The Toronto Raptors, Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic have all targeted the same candidate for a position within their respective front offices. Sources have indicated that the Raptors and Magic have offered General Manager positions whilst the Pistons have offered a more minor role.

The candidate is Robert Jones, who used to play point guard for European giants Barcelona. Jones is from England and is most well known in Europe as a four-time Euroleague champion. In his playing days, he was a fearless leader on the court and was nicknamed 'The General' by fans.

Jones has met with representatives from all three teams and looks likely to accept the offer from the Raptors.

The agent for Jones was contacted but declined to answer any questions in regards to the situation.

I've never really stuck with any of your stories, so it would be nice to follow one from the beginning. I'm normally not into reading the long passages, but the short articles like your previous post are nice. I don't really want to see the Raptors; they have a really nice team right now and are pretty much set for the future, aside from minor additions. The Magic would obviously be the toughest task, but the Pistons are kind of in a weird spot too, even though the do have more young pieces. I don't really know much about Knight, if he's good or not. Anyway, all three teams would be interesting.

EDIT: I just saw it's likely you'll do the Raptors. It'll be interesting to see what you do with them, and in my eyes, you don't have to do much.

Stoked to see which team you rebuild.

I like it to be the Pistons, not a lot of Pistons stories being done since 2004 !

I'd like you to do either the Pistons or the Magic. Piston would be easier because of Monroe and Knight while on the Magic, you're gonna have to start from scratch, kind of.
