Chapter 5
“What the hell is wrong with you guys! You don’t play to lose games you play to win games!” Rambis said angrily.
Everybody in the Wolves locker room is quiet, it’s their 4th consecutive loss and Coach Rambis is not in a good mood.
“What now, nobody wants to talk. God dammit what should I do with you guys are defense sucks, we can’t take care of the ball and no one can score on this team. Only Al, Tayshaun and Julian are the players I can rely on.” Rambis said.
“Well this would not happen if you let Corey or Ramon play’s more than that fuckin rookie.” Kevin Love whispered.
“What did you say Kevin, do you have something to say? Is there something wrong with my decisions?” Rambis said.
“I’m just saying coach that we should rely more in our vets not our inexperienced guys.” Love said.
“That inexperienced guy earned every inch of his minutes. Tell you what since you want other guys earned their playing time I’m gonna schedule a team practice tomorrow for whole day, the player who give up tomorrow can say goodbye to his precious playing time.” Rambis said then he left the locker room.
“See you tomorrow rookie and say goodbye to your minutes.” Love said.
“Maybe you should be the one saying goodbye, my man Jawai here will beat you at position or maybe I should play at 4 so I can beat the crap out of you.” Julian said
“Now stop that, just bring you’re “A” game tomorrow.” Prince said.
Everybody packs up and gets ready to leave, just when Julian is about to leave a guy called his name.
“Yo! Julian.” The man said. “Can I get an autograph?”
“What me? Well that’s the first sure man.” Julian said “Can you tell me your name?”
“Just write there that I’m your biggest fan” the man said.
“Yeah I just write that, what was your name?” Julian said.
“Raymond” the man said.
But before Julian could see his brother’s face he was quickly shoved against the wall by Raymond.
“Surprised bro, did you miss me?” Raymond said.
“What the fuck are you doing in here, let me go and I will send you again in prison.” Julian said.
“You can’t do that bro, right now you can’t send me behind bars.” Raymond said. “You see I recently ran into some friends and they got lots of money and lots of power.”
“So you’re in some kind of mafia now.” Julian said.
“Yeah looks that way, I agree to work for them and the best part is I really liked the job they offered me.” Raymond said. “Let’s put it in this way they want to get rid of the Wolves. I really don’t know what their plan is but the offer was way too good for me to resist."
“Why are you saying that to me?” Julian said.
“Because my little brother your my key to this mission of mine.” Raymond said
“And what makes you think that I’m gonna help an asshole like you.” Julian said.
Raymond laughs “Bro you’re gonna help me no matter what because if you don’t I’m gonna kill your precious family.” Raymond said.
“What the hell is the matter with you just for some cash your going to kill our family?” Julian said.
“Well like you said bro I’m an asshole and that’s the asshole I am. I don’t care with our family I only care for myself.” Raymond said.
Then Raymond punched Julian really hard that he was sent to the ground, he was almost out cold.
“See you around little brother and be the key to the Wolves extinction.” Raymond whispered to his brother.

New Jersey Nets gives the Timberwolves it's 6th straight loss. Rafer Alston scored 15 points off the bench
January 27, 2010
Minnesota (AP) – The New Jersey Nets extends Minnesota Timberwolves losing streak to 6 with blowout win 113 -77.
Devin Harris leads the Nets with 29 points and 5 assist in 32 minutes of playing time. He was supported by the sophomore Brook Lopez who had his 10th consecutive double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds in 5-8 shooting.
“No offense to the Wolves but it’s a pretty easy game. I don’t think they played with their full potential.” Lopez said.
The Wolves never led in this game they were outscored in every quarter except the 2nd quarter.
“There are no excuses this time, we played a horrible game and one of my key player was injured today was just full of bad luck.” Kurt Rambis said.
That player was Ramon Sessions. Sessions drives to the basket and apparently went down hard and sprained his ankle. He returned midway to the 2nd quarter but unable to contribute to the team he finished the game with only 2 points.
“It still hurts a bit but I’m sure it isn’t a serious injury. I’m not blaming the coach for playing me despite of the injury I know that he trust me but really I should have never play that long.” Sessions said.
“Really I don’t know what to say, I expect our team will play good basketball but the result really disappoints me.” Jefferson said in an after game interview.
Al Jefferson had a double-double to lead the Wolves with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Tayshaun Prince had 18 points and rookie Jonny Flynn finished with 14 points.POTG 29 points, 5 assists, 2 steals NEW JERSEY BOXSCORES MINNESTO BOXSCORES TEAMSTATS

Team Focus : Dallas Mavericks Dallas on a Mission Dirk leads the Mavs in their league high 34-8 standing
There was a doubt that the Dallas Mavericks was not a championship contender this season, after they failed to win their first 4 games the team looks like it's on a verge of a down season but coach Rick Carlisle change the rotations and put Shawn Marion on the starting line-up that made Dirk Nowitzki their starting center. Everybody thinks that its a wrong move Nowitzki cant play the middle his not strong enough to bump with the likes of Howard, Oneal, Bynum, Nene and the other centers in the league.
"I personally took it as a challenge, coach put me in that position because he trust me and my teammates trust me. All I can do now is to give my best every single game and focus on making the team a winner." Dirk said.
The German superstar seems to be at best in that middle as he is having a career best season, leading the league in PPG with 31.5 and having his career best in RPG with 11.5 . Now the Dallas Mavericks are the hottest team in the league with a 18 game winning streak and they are looking to extend their streak.
"It's not just me who gather this wins, we the whole team works hard for this wins." Dirk said.
Dirk's remarks on the team was correct, newly acquired S.Marion is having his best season after 3 years wandering around the league. Marion having a 20.1 PPG, 8.9 RPG and 4.7 APG this season.
"I really felt comfortable with this team, I thank the coach for the trust he gave me to put in this position." Marion said.
"The team had it with them. I know that this team can win and go to the finals they just need a little push. It was not me that made them winners I just think of the plays their the one who will execute them." Rick Carlisle said.
The team's starting five is actually averaging double figures in scoring. Jason "The Jet" Terry is the teams 3rd best scorer with 17.8 PPG and surprisingly leads the league in assist with 10.3 APG. Jason Kidd has 12.5 PPG and only having a career low 2.2 assist the returning Josh Howard is having a solid season with 11.8 PPG.
"What can I say? I learned from the best. Kidd really trust me to ran the plays I always thought that the way he plays is too hard for me but with his teachings I quickly learn to find my teammates." Terry said.
"I don't care about the stats I just want my team to win actually I don't care about are streak right now, what matters now is to get to the playoffs and reach the finals let me rephrase that I mean to win in the finals." Kidd said.
Kidd's remarks answer it all for the rest of the Mavs. Kidd maybe in his final season and Nowitzki is 32 the Mavericks time is right now despite having this winning streak their mission is not yet over its really only their starting step for them to reach their final mission and that is to win that precious Larry O'Brien Trophy.
