After some months pause, I picked up my Suns association again, and I'm surprisingly starting to like this game again.
I got myself such a nice roster, I had to play some games, and I actually won both of them. First a tight one against the Wolves - they led all game but I closed the game out in the final minutes. Ronnie Price was spectacular of the bench for me, second top scorer for me after Amare.
The scond one was a blow out against the Raps; I just hit everything on the offensive end.

My roster btw:

Shaq/R. Lopez/Mutombo/L. Wright

One person is missing I beleive, can't figure out right now who ..
Anyway, I'm now 31-7, still have the best record in the league and Amare is the second in the MVP race at the moment, behind James.

alright as i said in my association, the file corrupted and i am gonna have to make a new one i have a concept of an association story but unsure on what team i would use...here are some choices, in no particular order....

Dallas Mavericks
Memphis Grizzlies
Washington Wizards
Golden State Warriors
Milwaukee Bucks

any thoughts? suggestions other then these teams are welcome

I'd be interested in the Wizards and see what you do with the big 3. rebuilding them would be fun, you can dump Jamisons and Arenas contracts on some other team aha... but either way if you keep em or dont itd still be an interesting team

I have a terrible memphis.. i play superstar 8 min. my standing now is 4-9 after losing 5 streaks i now decided to revamp some of the rookies...

My line-up now is:
Conley - Jaric
Mayo - G. Green
Gay - Miles/G. Green
K. Mart - Arthur/Warrick
M. Gasol - Millicic/K. Thomas

I just traded Josh Howard for K.Mart. When I used Josh he is also effective in PF position and outrun every defender but i got out rebounded but the defense is good(especially the steal during a dunk). the problem is he is not contended with the line up. i Guess he want to be the star of the team(the morale is going low and he always misses a open shot.. so i traded him to K mart with defense and rebound inside. i guess that the missing link in my team.

Ps: The Utah Jazz blew me up with so many ally-oop really hate them...

I guess i will stay with this lineup. K.Mart owns the paint especially in defense.. Got to get K.Mart but the downside is his stamina is short so i back him up with K. Thomas.

I traded for Foye because Billups, Carter are aging. Foye can play point, once Billups retire and JR can start at 2 guard. I now have one 2nd rounder from trading Jason Hart to Grizzles. I probably need to draft a PF and the future is pretty bright for my Nuggets.
I do not use Billups as a scorer, he is happy even though he is only averaging 12 pts, 7 assists, although he has had a 41 pt game. Melo is averaging 26 per game. Then Nene at 17 per. The scoring has been balanced out, with 5 guys scoring in double digits per game. I am at the top of the West, records of the league are pretty balanced out, nobody is 5 games over .500 except my Nuggets.

first season. I'm in the playoff semi's against the magic. damned superman.
everyone's happy cept for charlie. playing 29 for the season and best of 3 for the rest. simmed the season looking to get past the boring stage of the nba season.
won the first game against the magic by going to bosh shooting mid and wallace, bargnani and villanueva from 3. got the blazers waiting for me in the finals.

you see. I get excited and decide to give it another go. but I have subs set on fatigue and wallace doesn't get subbed on 3 occasions while he is dead. just untill the magic have a nice lead. then he gets replaced. sure I could have subbed him myself. but why include an option to sub players when fatigued if it don't work? just to piss me off? well that worked. also. my players missing open shots, while the comp makes everything even contested. yeah. that's why I hate games with cheating ai's. if programmers can't make the comp competitive without cheating, just forget about it. it's lame otherwise. back to football.

Do you use a keyboard? All i do is hold on the space bar and press any shot button you want. I agree K-mart is pretty good at those standing dunks. I often run quick pick and rolls with Billups and K-mart/Nene, once they roll to the basket and they're wide open, sapce bar + shot button.

can i ask a off topic question i have k mart in my association his standing dunk is 78.. whats Kmart standing dunk realistic numbers? cause everybody said that kmart is good in standing dunk but i cant dunk him off need help

K-Mart's standing dunk is 88 according to Alby's Roster. As long as he gets open, he could dunk anytime. He cannot dunk on a guy, when the defender is right in front of him under the basket. As l said before, run some pick and rolls, and he will get open.

So... I have apparently been living under a rock (at least as far as PC sports gaming goes), because I just learned that NBA 2k9 has been released for PC. After kicking myself for playing an association through 15 seasons (some simming, some playing) over the past few months - ON THE 360... I promptly ordered the PC game and should have it within a few days.

I'm planning to do an ongoing dynasty (I prefer to not call it an 'association', that has always sounded lame to me) posted here, with the highest quality I can. It won't be Cocobee-level awesomeness, but it should at least match what I used to do. This time, it should last a bit longer. Team and details are still in the planning stages, but I'm most likely going to do a 'fast-forward' sort of scenario, starting at some point in the not-too-distant future- say 5 years. We'll see.
