It looks like this year's NBA Finals might just be better than last years, and after game's one and two at the Verizon Center -- it looks every bit like a exhilirating series.
Behind Jeff Greens 28 second quarter points (40 in the game), Westbrook's almost triple double 37 points -- the Thunder erased a 14 point deficit and overcame a scoring drought in the third quarter where they scored just four points in six minutes to come out of the third overtime with a 157-154 win.

Both teams would just not give up, the Wizards looked like they had it clinched, but in the final 1.1 seconds the Celtics drew level to send it to overtime, then with just a second left in the first overtime the Celtics intercepted a long pass and scored with just miliseconds to bear to send it to a second overtime, eventually the Wizards fatigue kicked in and the Thunder craweled out of the Verizon center with a close fought victory.
The Wizards gave the Thunder all they could handle, Josh Howard netted a career high 41 points, John Wall went 14 of 42 on field goals for 35 points and chipped in with 14 assists and Andray Blatche recorded a triple double scoring 13 points, recording 12 rebounds and assisting 10 other baskets.
They too wiped off many deficits, but in the end the Wizards grew tired and missed most of the baskets in the opening three minutes of the third overtime that led to their demise.
"It's frustrating with the loss," said Howard in the post-game press conference interview. "We thought we had it, it was a great game, kudos to the Thunder, they gave everything they had at us, we threw everything back, it's definitley going to be a great series, two of the best teams in the business, I can't wait for game three."
"It's not the greatest feeling in the world losing your second game," said Wall, "Now we have to go to their court, play some, it's going to be difficult we would of liked to have gone to their court with a sweep at the start."
That sweep never came as the Thunder scored 104 points in the paint and successfully converted 67 of their 129 field goals (51%) whilst the Wizards went 67 of 140 (47%). "I thought we defended a lot better in this game than in the past," said Wizards coach Flip Saunders. "The score doesn't reflect how our defense played, they played well."
The Washington Wizards will travel to Oklahoma to play the next three games in the series in Oklahoma and if necessary, they will return back to Washington for games 6 and 7.
Notes: Wizards forward Al Thornton sprained his wrist and is likely out for 1-2 weeks, with less than 2 weeks of play-offs left, it likely means Thornton is done for the season.
