The team logos only appear if you create "league leaders" tables i think which is just a drop down box for the leader of each cat.

But with that you lose all the points you gained from playing the games... that's why I make the trades including my 2nd round picks then swapping them back (with trade override ON)

Yeah, I played all 36 games on my story so far and I wouldn't like to lose all those points. I have CPU Trades off, so I check the Rumor Mill and work out a trade from there.

Huge - Manu with 41!

2nd-8th Jan 2011

This week we saw the nba's award races put out by the league and will take a peak at them plus a few more key players got down with the injury bug.

Joe Johnson of the Hawks took home the East player of the week leading his banged up team to a 3-1 record treating the Hawks fans to back to back 41 point scoring games ! He averaged 34.4ppg 6.8rpg 7apg 2.9spg.

Out West Manu Ginobili took home the award despite a tough road trip on the east coast seeing his Spurs go 1-2 he put up 30ppg 8.3rpg 6.3apg 2spg also setting a career high in rebounding in a win at Boston grabbing 16 rebounding he also had 17 points and 7 assists.

In the D-League Craig Brackins of the Sixers won player of the week averaging 26.5ppg and 11.5rpg , Another guy making a name for himself is Hornets rookie Quincy Pondexter now averaging 20 & 10 in 4 games since being sent down.

Back to the nba and 2 teams are really playing banged up , the Hawks and Magic both have 3 key players on the rosters missing time due to injury.

For the Hawks Josh Smith (4-6 week broken jaw) , Jamal Crawford ( 1-2 weeks sore shoulder) and Zaza Pachulia (4-6weeks torn hamstring)

Orlando is missing Jameer Nelson (2 weeks broken hand) , Brandon Bass (2 week sprained ankle) and now Jason Richardson (4-6 weeks broken wrist)

This week we take a look at the "MVP" race.

1) Kobe Bryant - 33.2ppg 3.8rpg 5.9apg 2.4spg [31-6 record]
2) LeBron James - 28.3ppg 7.2rpg 5.7apg 2.3spg 1.5bpg [28-10 record]
3) Josh Smith - 17.7ppg 11.6rpg 4.9apg 2.4spg 2.1bpg [27-12 record]
4) Pau Gasol - 20.3ppg 11.3rpg 2.9apg 2.5bpg [31-6 record]
5) Joe Johnson - 26.3ppg 5.0rpg 5.2apg 1.5spg [27-12 record]

Amare Stoudemire appears to of being snubbed despite his 27.8ppg 9.8rpg 2.9apg 1.5bpg and a knick record of 24-12

Firstly this association is fantastic, well done on everything you've done so far and good luck for the rest of the season.

What are your plans as far as trading? Are you going to go after Melo?

Iam trying to keep it pretty realistic and not go overboard with the trading keeping my eye on the real life knicks rumours and hopefully we pull off a trade for Melo before the feb deadline otherwise il tarket him in the off season.

Thanks for reading (Y)

O.J Mayo traded to the Knicks

Image

With the price of an in season trade for Carmelo Anthony being set to high the Nuggets asking teams for 5 future draft picks + current talent the Knicks have decided to wait till the off season to sign the allstar forward and have moved slightly in a different direction opting to trade now for Memphis guard O.J Mayo.

By trading for O.J the knicks can still sign Melo in the summer but give themselves another scoring punch to help out Amare Stoudemire now as it was clear that they need more scoring from the wing.

Trade breakdown -

Memphis gets - Danilo Gallinari and Anthony Randolph

New York gets - O.J Mayo , Darrell Arthur and 2012 2nd round pick

The Knicks didnt really want to give up on Gallo but felt that O.J could give them more of what they wanted now not later with also being able to handle the ball and play point guard which will take the heat off Raymond Felton who has been playing close to 40 minutes a game.

Swapping Randolph for Arthur + a draft pick was an easy choice to make with the lack of effort put forward in training and the nightly mistakes made on court earned the Meal Ticket limited minutes and a lot of time in the D'Antoni doghouse.

Arthur is another guy buried on the bench in Memphis due to the strong play of allstar Zach Randolph but the knicks has seen enough of him to know that he rebounds and defends well and can hit that 15-18 foot jumpshot so should fit right in here.

Both players will suit up tonight in Utah vs the Jazz.
