Good win. I like the Rockets with Parsons as part of their future, but Kawhi had his number tonight!

*************************************************

"With two surprising eastern Conference contenders emerging in Detroit and Washington the playoff race should be interesting when the time comes."
"Take a look at the last place Hornets who finally were able to manage a win against the equally bad Bobcats."
"No Surprise at the top two seeds as the Spurs lead the west and Miami leads the East."
"Now Charles I know we are all tired about hearing rumors for Sacramento Kings Center Demarcus Cousins but whets the latest on him and other trade rumors around the league?"

*************************************************

"Well according to league source the Kings are absolutely going to deal Cousins buy the end of January."
"The front runner right now seems to be Toronto but word is Denver is really close to stealing him away."
"Denver has received news that Iggy is declaring for free agency and they would like it if he stayed and maybe landing Cousins will convince him to resign or maybe they are going to trade Iggy in order to get Cousins."
"Now in other Trade news its being reported that Once Patty Mills is cleared to return to action the Spurs are going to have a decision to make on who they want to keep."
"Gary Neal and Patty Mills have been splitting minutes at the backup Point Guard position this year and reportedly both are becoming upset with no clear favorite to play the position."
"The Spurs don't like trading away key role players but it should be interesting on who they decide to keep."

"Steve let's take a look at who your two favorite teams to watch next month are going to be."

*************************************************

"Thank you Charles."
"Now guys we watched a great streak by the Spurs who had a 6 game win streak snapped last night against Brooklyn but they were just storming past there division rivals."
"They will be on my watch list as well as the Dallas Mavericks."
"The reason the Mavericks are on my list has to be to see how they rebound from an atrocious month."
"With leadership like Dirks you have to know they will bounce back and get back in there groove."
"That it for us here at NBA recap and we all hope January is a great month for all of you."

Never Too Old--San Antonio Spurs Dynasty--NBA Month 2 Rev.

Postby drghost on Mon Apr 08, 2013 10:25 am

Image

"Welcome to Spurs Insider! I'm Sean Elliot and today we wrap up an excellent second month for the Spurs."
"They are first in the west with OKC in second place behind them."
"The Spurs end the second month at 26-7 after a tough one point loss to the Nets at home."
"Today we will have a one on one interview with Harrison Barnes the rookie for San Antonio and get some information on what it's like to be the best team in the NBA and be number one in sixth man of the year voting."
"But first let's take a look at the averages for each individual Spur so far this season."

************************************************

Image

Image

Image

************************************************

"Now time for our interview with Barnes."

"Now Harrison how did you react when you found out you were being traded to the Spurs?"

"Well I was a little nervous the Spurs are a historic franchise and I was worried I wouldn't fill the role they needed me to."

"Well obviously that doesn't seem to be the case as word came in you are the front runner for sixth man of the year award how does it feel?"

"Honestly I'm amazed that I'm the leader. Threes so much I need to work on. Kawhi has been teaching me as much as he can but my defense can certainly use some improvement."

"Now we saw you do that amazing dunk against Dallas the other night how did it feel to absolutely silence the crowd with that off the backboard slam?"

*Chuckles* "That's been something I've always wanted to do and Manu really helped me out with the steal to set it up. It was awesome to see both benches stand up when that slam went down. I can't wait to do it again.
Now Harrison rumors are coming out about two of your teammates Gary Neal and Patty mills having trouble with their minutes. Any word or comment on what might be going on."

"Well obviously both players want to play and now ride the bench that's something I can definitely understand but those guys both understand we have to do whets best for the team. I hope they both stay on the team but if one wants to go there's really no stopping it."

"Harrison it's been fun before we go I have one last question. the Eastern Conference seems to have some underdogs in there conference race. Any favorites you like to watch?"

"Well the Wizards are definitely a team I like to watch. At any given moment they can drop back to back threes on you . There scoring really reminds me of the way we as a team fill it up every night."

"There you have it thank you so much Harrison and good luck in the awards race."

************************************************

"Well that's it for us here at Spurs inside but before we let you go let's take a look at the Spurs upcoming schedule for the month."

Never Too Old--San Antonio Spurs Dynasty--POV Chapter 1

Postby drghost on Mon Apr 08, 2013 10:33 am

"With month two in the books and us on top of the west I couldn't be more happy."

"It's funny to think that 2 months ago I was basically handed the keys to this origination and that trust was fully placed in me."

"I never thought I would have Tim Duncan's phone number in my contacts book. I walk down the streets of San Antonio and people run up to me saying I saved this franchise from years of downhill climbing."

"Im not to sure about that though. This franchise was never in any real danger. If anything i might have done more harm then good if the trades didnt pan out perfectly like they have so far."

"I can't help but to wonder what would have happened if the team rejected the new pieces I forced in there puzzle."

"But thankfully i dont have to worry as Duncan openly took Favors under his wing. Barnes and Kawhi have become best friends and actually live together now with Kawhi's mother still doing all the planning."

"People are starting to question me though with Neal and Patty becoming unsettled with their spots on the team."

"This town loves Neal and understandably so i mean come on the game winner against Memphis a few years back was just amazing. In that same year he had the one against the Clippers as well. He is a dead eye for sure."

"But now With those two becoming upset Green has let me know he is not happy with his position on the team either."

"I can afford to make another trade this year. I have disrupted the team enough."

"I was lucky the rockets offered Anderson who fit right in with the team. being a previous Spur helped a lot with that im sure."

"I doubt i will find another former Spur who will do the same. I'm hoping to keep all three of these guys but if push comes to shove some will have to go."

"But i have no worries This team is going all the way I can just taste the Championship champagne already."

the weird thing is he hasn't played that well all season its just been the past few weeks. Most of the time due to the lack of his medium range jumper he is just a guy i bring in to give a guy like Kwhi or Barnes a break and nail a couple of threes. But lately he has been tearing it up. good thing because i was getting ready to trade him away. I already had the story typed up and everything then the NY game came. As of now for the season he is averaging around 8pts a game and 2 ast.

Lakers had two Kobes? (the pics :P)

Barnes didn`t play too bad, and you are doing pretty well.
