Baron was throwing lobs all day...helped him get to 14 assists

really this team is MUCH more fun now...i mean only Iggy is the real change in starting lineup...but Baron seems to have more control and DJ is a defensive monster...after the 1Q i thought he might even go for a quadruple double (his 1Q stats was 6 points,4 rebounds,3 steals,3 blocks)

STARS OUT ON OPENING NIGHT


Newly wed Kim Humphries (formerly Kim Kardashian) was sitting courtside watching her husband (Kris) on his new team. Next to her are Baron Davis' long time friend Cash Warren and his wife Jessica Alba.

THE FACTS: It's finally opening night and the stars are all out to watch the new look Clippers lead by the Amazin Blake Griffin and new acquisition Andre Iguodala. Baron Davis was at it again with precision passing, but got into foul trouble early and was forced to the bench. That is when the Bucks made their move to come back after being down 9. The rest of the game started to go back and forth, with each team having mini runs, but neither would lead by more than 5 points. While Andrew Bogut and Brandon Jennings were leading the team, Eric Gordon was having a sensational night from beyond the arc, too much for new Buck Stephen Jackson to handle. An Andre Iguodala slam dunk at the end of the 3Q with only 8 seconds left broke the tie and only lead for good things to come as momentum lifted the Clippers in the 4Q to nearly blow out the Bucks. While the game was pretty much in the Clippers hands, Kris Humphries had a dominating quarter as DeAndre Jordan spent most of his time on the bench in foul trouble. BONUS: There was a Peja Stojakovic sighting tonight, the first for the Clippers. He came in and made 1 of 2 3PTs.

THE STAT: Eric Gordon was on fire for the season opener, getting close to his career high with 9 3PTs

QUOTABLE: Kim Humphries, "Our life is great right now. I am happy, he is happy, and we are very much happy to be able to play basketball in Los Angeles. Go Clippers!"

HOT: After a lackluster shooting performance from beyond the arc, the Clippers turned up the heat for the season opener as Baron Davis hit both of his 3PTs, Iggy hit a couple, and Eric Gordon lead with 9 3PTs

NOT: Al-Farouq Aminu had a poor night barely recording any stats on the night and score only 2 points after missing all of his shots but one

PLAY OF THE GAME: With the game tied, Iggy brought the ball up quick and drive straight to the basket for a slam dunk in the teeth of the defense to help secure the lead late in the game. The dunk was so massive he fell to the floor and even rolled on his back.


BLUNDER OF THE GAME: Baron Davis was feeling good passing the ball and throwing lobs, but in his only opportunity to dunk the ball on a break away, he threw it too hard off the back of the rim and the ball bounced out


INJURIES: Carlos Delfino tweaked his knee after a shot attempt, but was able to get back up and shoot free throws

qfrmcpt310, thanks! too bad the real wedding just happened...my association has advanced too much as that story should have came out long before. oh well...now i can fast forward to Kim being at the games..more photoshop ahead!

and Iggy is so much fun! makes the game a lot easier...thought I'm having a little harder time getting Blake the ball and Iggy isnt that great of a 3PT shooter compared to my last starting SF (Wilson Chandler...who was like top 5 last season in 3PT %)...overall I LOVE the addition

George7, thanks ....last season basically started as the RL Clippers then some adjustment which lead to a post season appearance....

now with the offseason done, this is completely my team now

KidJustin pulls out his cellphone, "I guess I should call up Thierry, maybe he knows more..."

KidJustin is just about to dial the number when a dark black Rolls Royce drives up in front of him.

The dark tinted windows roll down, KidJustin tries to look inside.

Thierry, wearing dark sunglasses pokes his head out of the window, "You were going to call?"

KJ, "How did you know? Nevermind...we need to talk."

TT, "Get in. Driver let's go.."

KJ gets into the car as they start going around the town.

KJ, "Where are we going?"

TT, "Don't worry about that...what's up?"

KJ, "I was looking over the files I got from you...I don't think this McDonald guy has anything to do with it. I don't think Magic is going to do something like this..."

TT, "You never know with people...You never know..."

KJ, "Yea, well I can say the same about you..."

TT, "hmm?"

KJ, "Anyways, and George? really? George? Come'on...its George..."

TT, "Tell me, what do you really know about him?"

KJ, "Uhh...anyways this Raymond Martin guy. I never heard of him and now he's the co-GM of the Lakers? Kind of weird don't you think?"

TT, "Weird like how YOU became the GM of the Clippers? Hm...?"

KJ, "Dude who's side are you on? I'm trying to figure this all out!"

TT, "Relax man. I'm just saying is all..."

KJ, "Well what would either of these two guys want with me? What do I have that they would want?"

TT, "Think about it...what is your best asset"

KJ, "BLAKE! You really think either one thinks they are going to scare me into trading him!?!?"

The car stops and Thierry opens the door.

Just then KJ's phone rings, the caller ID reads "Nick Young"

KJ to TT, "Hold on..."

KJ to phone, "Hello? Nick? What's up?"

Nick Young, "Look boss I don't know how to say this.."

KJ, "Hm..?"

NY, "I love the city...its my hometown. I love the team, the organization...its my family. But its just hard to feel secure if I'm not going to be offered a better contract than the qualifying offer..."

KJ, "Look Nick, I'm really really sorry about that. You have no idea how much I wanted to give you that contract. But my hands were tied..."

NY, "I'm just saying..I played great for you guys. And I am still young, I need to secure my job with a longer term contract if I want to make sure I can make money in this league...before it's too late for me."

KJ, "I understand, but even if by NBA rules I could re-sign you, Mr. Sterling had my hands tied and I couldn't go over the cap..."

NY, "That's what I thought. Nothing against you, the guys, the coaches...no one, but it's hard when the owner thinks that way."

KJ, "I really hope we can work something out in the future..."

NY, "Yea not sure about that and that's kind of why I'm calling..."

KJ, "What do you mean?"

NY, "I would respectfully want a trade. Somewhere I can feel more secure about getting the contract I deserve..."

KJ does not respond...

TT, "Hey? something wrong?"

NY, "...Hello? Boss, you still there?"

KJ, "Yea, Nick. I'm here. Look, I have to go over some things before I can figure this all out...I'll speak to you and your agent later alright?"

NY, "Yea sure. Again I'm sorry about this.."

The phone hangs up.

TT, "Trouble in paradise?"

KJ, "I'll deal with it myself. Anyways we got to split up the work."

TT, "Sure, who do you want to take?"
