NLSC Watch
- Jerome Barkhorn "Warlock" - Jazz
- Stats: PPG: 11.5 |RPG: 4.0 |APG: 7.5 |SPG: 1.0 |BPG: 0.0 |FG%: 20.8% |3P%: 18.2% |FT%: 84.6%
- Overview: Jazz leading scorer in their first game, but suffered a Torn Hamstring which might force him to miss the beginning of the regular season. He only played 2 games, but showed to be a great guard, either backing up Devin Harris or playing along side him.
- George Koukoulis - Bulls
- Stats: PPG: 2.7 |RPG: 1.5 |APG: 1.5 |SPG: 0.0 |BPG: 0.0 |FG%: 50.0% |3P%: 33.3% |FT%: 50.0%
- Overview: George played steady minutes behind Ben Gordon, but with backcourt mate Derrick Rose trying to make his case for MVP early, the rookie did not have a lot of scoring opportunities. He did shoot a decent percentage with the few shots he was able to take.
- Albano Spagnoletti - Spurs
- Stats: PPG: 8.2 |RPG: 2.4 |APG: 2.6 |SPG: 0.8 |BPG: 0.0 |FG%: 37.2% |3P%: 60.0% |FT%: 54.5%
- Overview: Started preseason in street close because Coach Pop wanted to take a better look at the glut of SFs they drafted. After sitting out the first 2 games, Spagnoletti eventually got some burn behind Parker and then had a breakout game after Parker injured his back early in the game against the LA Clippers. In 43 minutes he scored 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists...however he missed the shot at the buzzer that would have forced overtime. Good game, but maybe next time...
- Vince Sleepy "Money" - Sixers
- Stats: PPG: 1.9 |RPG: 2.7 |APG: 0.4 |SPG: 0.1 |BPG: 0.4 |FG%: 19.2% |3P%: 0.0% |FT%: 30.0%
- Overview: "Money" was anything but that in preseason as he shot horribly from the field. The Sixers also decided to go with a Speights at the center position more than Hawes or Sleepy.
- Zee Otoo - Wizards - z02
- Stats: PPG: 1.0 |RPG: 1.6 |APG: 0.1 |SPG: 0.0 |BPG: 0.1 |FG%: 21.4% |3P%: 0.0% |FT%: 33.3%
- Overview: When Zee was on the floor, he played fairly well for the Wizards, he was just not on the floor a lot. Wizard's offseason acquisition Wilson Chandler had a great preseason and took up most of the minutes at SF. If Chandler continues his strong play, the amount of playing time the rookie will get might be very slim. UPDATE: Wilson Chandler has been reported to have suffered a sprained wrist before the start of the season. Chandler can still play, but more minutes might be able to Zee while he heels.
- Justin Jones - Nuggets
- Stats: PPG: 4.1 |RPG: 1.7 |APG: 0.3 |SPG: 0.0 |BPG: 0.3 |FG%: 33.3% |3P%: 36.4% |FT%: 63.6%
- Overview: The PF situation in Denver is very confusing as rookie Jones and Thompkins both struggled to find minutes behind Jason Maxiell. Maxiell looks to be on his way out in Denver, but is getting the playing time to help increase his trade value, however it is hurting the opportunities of their rookie PFs. UPDATE: The Nuggets are looking to move Maxiell, which might mean more playing time to the rookies.
- Marko Jenjic - Bulls
- Stats: PPG: 3.2 |RPG: 1.0 |APG: 0.7 |SPG: 0.0 |BPG: 0.2 |FG%: 35.3% |3P%: 42.9% |FT%: 50.0%
- Overview: The SF situation is much looser in Chicago as Jenjic seemed to have won the battle against fellow second rounder DJ Kennedy. Jenjic seemed to struggled on his shot, but made up for it by a better percentage shooting from deep.
Clippers Overview Preseason Results:
Recap: Right from the Clippers very first game, Andre Iguodala showed that he is clearly the perfect fit for this young team, as his combination of scoring and athleticism combined with sure ball handling and passing allowed him to be the Clippers "do-it-all" player. Throughout the preseason, Iggy filled the stat sheet in almost every category, while allowing the Clippers stars Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin still be the focal point of the team. Baron Davis was also in incredible shape, playing tough defense, throwing alley-oops left and right, and even a break-away slam dunk or two. Rookie JaJuan Johnson showed some great promise, but still looks like he needs some more seasoning before any major playing time. Ricky Davis took a while to get shake the rust off, but he did show to have something left in the tank in limited minutes, scoring in double figures in most of the games he was able to get steady minutes. The Clippers did sustain some injures, but there were only minor and did not keep anyone off the court. Kris Humpheries had the flu and Chuck Hayes tweaked in ankle, neither of them are expected to miss the beginning of the regular season. After dominating in the first two games, the Clippers decide to play their bench a lot more the rest of the way. They lost 3 of the last 4 games, with 2 of them being decided by a single basket. They were tough on the bench, but it was a great experience for them and its only preseason. Now it's time for the season to start!Pressbook:

Streak: 1WUS Airways Center - Phoenix, AZ Nov. 6, 2011 - 7:30 PM (PST) Matchups Steve Nash PG Baron Davis Delonte West SG Eric Gordon Jared Dudley SF Andre Iguodala Hakim Warrick PF Blake Griffin Mehmet Okur C DeAndre Jordan CLIPS SHINE PAST THE SUNS
THE FACTS: With new addition Andre Iguodala the Clippers used their athleticism to full advantage, playing tough defense to force blocks, turnovers, and missed shots so that they could leak out on the break on offense for easy buckets. Baron Davis was completely in the zone picking apart the defense and finding players for the easy shot or better yet a sweat alley-oop. The Clippers did struggle from 3PT land however and it cost them as the Suns were superb from there. The Suns were able to stay in the game with their 3PT shooting alone. It was up to the Clippers defense to stop the Suns and everyone played hard, from the starters to the bench, and it all eventually payed off with their first win of the season.
THE STAT: DeAndre Jordan had a near triple-double from his strong defensive tonight going for 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 blocks
QUOTABLE: Andre Iguodala, "I had a lot of fun today. I am happy. Happy with my play, happy about our team, and happy about the win!"
HOT: Jared Dudley was unconscious from beyond the arch hitting 5 3PTers on the night and was the main catalyst in helping keep the game close
NOT: Despite the Clippers shooting a high percentage on the right, they were terrible from deep going 1 for 13 (7%)
PLAY OF THE GAME: The entire game was going back and forth, but in the final moments the Clippers were pulling away for the win after Blake Griffin tipped the ball away for Baron to bring the ball up court and throw an alley-oop to a streaking Andre Igoudala
BLUNDER OF THE GAME: Delonte West was ahead of the pack and blew the layup
INJURIES: In the third quarter Mehmet Okur landed on his back and had to leave the game with a lower back strain.
