1st Round Conclusion
Western Conference
1.Los Angeles Lakers - .8.Los Angeles Clippers
The Lakers had no problem getting the 4-1 win over the Clippers, and the amazing Kobe Bryant made things a lot easier. He averaged an incredible 37,8 points per game(189 points total!!) in the series leaving no room for the Clippers to make any surprises. He wants the three-peat so much... Clippers had Kaman going strong in many games, but Blake Griffin failed to impress.
4.Denver Nuggets - 5.Dallas Mavericks
The Los Angeles Lakers are going to find Dallas Maverick in their path. The Mavericks,as mature as ever, with Dirk Nowitzki as the leader again(34 ppg) and Caron Butler and Jason Terry as the second guns, had no problems beating the Nuggets who had some great performances by J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony, who were though all alone...
3.San Antonio Spurs - 6.Portland Trailblazers
The San Antonio Spurs showed on Game 5 that there was still life ,but when the series shifted back to Portland, the Blazers won the series with a 20 point victory. The Blazers' polyphony was the main key of the series, managing to overcome every difficulty they faced. With Jason Kidd as a true leader on the court and Roy and Aldridge on their best phase of their careers so far, Blazers seem a tough opposition for everyone. Spurs on the other side, seem to need a serious refresh.
2.Oklahoma City Thunder - 7.Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets surprised everyone, after beating 4-2 the ,favourites for a place in the Western Conference Finals, Oklahoma City Thunder. The Rockets made an amazing Game 6 Performance, closing the series with a 21-point victory, with Brooks scoring 29,Scola 27 and Martin 25 points!"A new big 3,or if you want Big 4 as we have Yao, is formed in Houston!" Said an excited Kevin Martin and he wasn't that wrong.Martin,Brooks and Scola were the leaders in points in 4 out of 6 games, with Yao only intervening in the other 2. "That sucks man.Next year you're going to see a different Kevin Durant and OKC"said a disappointed Kevin Durant. Battle of the outsiders in the second round between the Rockets and the Blazers!
Eastern Conference
1.Chicago Bulls - 8.Milwaukee Bucks
No need for many words here. The Regular division champs, the Chicago Bulls, had no problem sweeping the Milwaukee Bucks and get the second round ticket. Derrick Rose lead the Bulls in scoring and on assists and had a really good first round, without really needing to step up his game.
4.Atlanta Hawks - 5.Orlando Magic
As it seems Jameer Nelson's words to Derrick Rose"I'll catch you in the second round" at their last meet in the regular season were prophetical. The Chicago Bulls are going to square off against the Magic in the East semis, with Jameer Nelson closing the series with a 31-game performance and validating his statement in the best way. "After game 1 blowout,I heard a lots of Hawks' fans sayin' that they have a seat for me on Game 3 against the Bulls at Atlanta, but it seems that I'll catch with Rose inside the court" said Nelson. Gilbert Arenas was considered the surprise of the series,as he was the top scorer in the series.
3.Boston Celtics - 6.Charlotte Bobcats
The Charlotte Bobcats managed to turn an indifferent series into an game 7 rodeo. Well the games weren't close contested but there was a blow-out win in every match! Tyrus Thomas was the MVP for the Bobcats, forcing a game 7 in Boston, were the Celtics had no problem getting the ticket to next round, were they're going to face off against the Miami Heat. "We're ready,we're tough and the fake Big 3 are going to have a hard time against us!"Said Paul Pierce, who scored 41 points on Game 7 victory.
2.Miami Heat - 7.New York Knicks
Again,no need for many words for these series. Big 3 was doing everything they wanted to the Knicks, LeBron James had 2 triple doubles in the series, and Steve Nash had little to no help from Amar'e Stoudemire in crunch time. The sweep was inevitable...
"We want it badly an we're going to the Finals this year!!"said a passionate Chris Bosh after the end of Game 4 in NYC.

Axel. wrote:And how are the Rockets old exactly? Pretty much the only old people I can think of that are over 30 are Battier and Miller (if he hasn't been traded). Then there's just a bunch of young players on the bench to fill out the roster.
