Contest no 2
GM Neil Oshey.
Vinny Del Negro had bad relations with his GMs in the past, and that's because he wants to have more control on his team.Again this time,he has a bad relation with Clippers' GM,Neil Oshey, who don't give Vinny the control he wants. In one of their vocal arguments, things went bad and there was some pushes and swearings from one to the other.

Assistant GM KidJustin, along with the higher positioned staff though decided to keep VDN ,showing trust to him,and fire Oshey instead(the opposite thing thing of what the Bulls did one year ago),as they thought it is better to make a new start and Oshey is a link with the bad old past.

Amare:NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Contest #3: Yes(though i have some second thoughts)

Clippers Features: Coaching Staff Crisis

Coaching Staff Crisis? Part II
Image

More information has been revealed about the reason why Head Coach Vinny Del Negro left the second half of the Clippers at Timberwolves game; it appears he had an altercation with Scout Mike Dunleavy, Sr.

It appears that the Clippers slumping first half against the Timberwolves was in part due to faulty scouting of the other team. Numerous times the Clippers missed what seemed to be assignments, but they missed it because they were never trained on it. They were never trained on it because the correct information was not given by the scouts.

Coach Del Negro:
I think that guy has some authority issues. He's just a scout now and he better do his job the right way. I give him the simple task of scouting the other team, something KidJustin made me believe he was capable of doing. He needs to learn that he no longer has a say on what this team does anymore and has to stop trying to be a figure head. His era is done with this franchise and he is lucky to still be around.

Dunleavy could not be found for comments.

When Coach Del Negro was asked where Dunleavy had gone, he replied:
Who cares? Not me...

Game Recap - Win vs Hornets

The last time these two teams met, the Clippers handed the Hornets only their second loss. Fast forward about two weeks and the Clippers are welcoming the Hornets with a new team featuring Kevin Durant. The Hornets played last night, but should be extra energized after defeating Allen Iverson and the Sacramento Kings 135-91, with 7 Hornets scoring in double figures. The Clippers better be prepared if they plan on making history tonight.

There was only one thing on Chris Paul's mind tonight and it wasn't about the Clippers making history. He was on fire early, missing only 1 FG in the first quarter en route to 21 points in the first half. With Paul controlling the Hornets offense, he was in control of the game. In this game, the Hornets defense made it tough for the Clippers easily sail their way into the history books.

However, Baron Davis and Kevin Durant willed the Clippers to keep the game close. Baron hit a buzzer beater 3 pointer to end the first quarter down by only 3. Then Durant started the second quarter with a bucket to cap off an 8-0 run after freezing rookie Quincy Poindexter in his tracks.

In the second half, Durant stayed hot as he got the Clippers going in the third quarter. Durant was grabbing rebounds and getting the ball inside for Griffin to score or outside for Gordon to knock down the open shot. Soon enough it got contagious and the Big 3 were rolling, they would finish the game with each scoring over 20 points. But Paul wouldn't let the Clippers off that easy, with help from David West and Marco Bellinelli off the bench, they would get the lead back down to single digits and even take the lead at one point.

In the fourth the two teams kept going back and forth with the difference only by 1 or 2 points. And then all of a sudden with a little over 6 minutes left in the game, Eric Gordon caught fire and became unstoppable. A short while later, David West fouled out of the game. The Clippers never looked back since that moment. Paul did his best to get the Hornets back in the game, but could not do it on his own and the Clippers made history tonight, being only the 3rd team in NBA history with the best starting record to a season with 15 straight victories!

Coaching Staff Crisis? Part IV

A report translated from a Chinese newspaper states that an American was arrested for suspicion of spying at a very popular basketball venue. The description seems like it could be Clippers scout Mike Dunleavy.

This statement was issued by the Clippers:
Scout Mike Dunleavy has encountered some problems in China after being sent on a scouting trip to scout future draft prospects in that region. We are doing everything in our power to make sure the issue is resolved and we can all continue on with our jobs.

So he's not the one fired? Or he will be fired because the clippers don't want to spoil their name with spying?

Clippers Features - Rookie Hazing

Postby KidJustin on Tue Oct 05, 2010 7:22 am

Rookie Hazing, Part III
New rookie, Sofoklis Schortsanitis experienced his first major taste of the NBA's rookie hazing on Thanksgiving night against the Sacramento Kings.

Big Sofo had to dress up as a big turkey! With the rest of the rookies wearing Pilgrim costumes.

In addition to that, they will all had to stay in costume tomorrow as the Clippers fly to Pheonix for their game against the Suns. That will sure be an interesting plane ride!

The coach was not fired. Rather he will be killed by Chinese authorities. They do that to spies in in China.
