Re: "SmartDudes"Clips[12-0]-NLSC DRAFTEES!+Narrow W Minny

Postby KidJustin on Wed Sep 22, 2010 12:44 am

thanks  i got all ur infos....

except .PorkyJoker.o6

....no body noticed that Coach Del Negro left the game? :|

I added the Rules for the NLSC Draftees, available on first page and here

:new: Rules also posted below
I will cap of this years draft between 5-10 members. Once I hit the limit I will begin posting contest!

(Still pending...)
Rules:
Registered NLSC members, or Agents, will be allowed to enter contest that will award their client, or NLSC Draftee's, with "Smart Dudes Dynasty Points" (or SDD Points). These points work for two purposes: (1) Impact Draft Stock (2) Player Improvement. Only 1 NLSC Draftee per Agent.
(1) Impact Draft Stock
NLSC Draftee's draft stock/position will be determined based on how many SSD Points they have accumulated during the season. Contest prizes are detailed below. NLSC Draftees cannot lose points, thus cannot lose draft stock, however other NLSC Draftees that gain more SSD Points (raise their stock) can greatly affect the draft stock those who have less SSD Points.
(2) Player Improvement:
The SSD Points earned during the current season (season before the draft) will be carried over to the NLSC draftee's rookie season. These points can be used toward the player improvement of individual rating of a NLSC draftee. Only the Agent is allowed to decided when to use the points, how many, and in what area(s). Agents will be limited on how many SSD Points can be used per month, details will be determined after the final contest. No monthly rollovers. Unused SSD Points expire after 1 season.

Agents can contact me via PM or a post on this thread.

Earning SSD Points:
Throughout the "Smart Dudes Clippers dynasty" story, various contest will be posted, each with their own details on that contest rules and how many points can be earned. Contest can range from trivia questions, to predictions, to user submissions , and more.
Agents can continue to earn more SSD Points during their Draftee's rookie season, but cannot use the newly won points toward Player Improvement until February of their rookie season (or current season). The SSD Points will be dated with the year they were earned to differentiate. (ex. 2010 SSD Points vs. 2011 SSD Points).

Contest Prize:
Grand Prize Winner (Agent with the most SSD Points) - NLSC Draftee will be rated 80+, projected to go top 3, and have a shoe deal
Middle Group - NLSC Draftee will be rated 70+, projected in the lottery (top 14) - ranked based on total SSD Points
Bottom group (0 SSD Points), if any - NLSC Draftee rated 60+, projected to go 2nd Round or following draft

Clippers Features: Coaching Staff Crisis?

Postby KidJustin on Wed Sep 22, 2010 4:17 pm

Coaching Staff Crisis? Part I
Image

The unknown cause of Coach Del Negro's no show at last nights second half has been revealed. Reports say that Coach Del Negro got into an altercation with a member of the Clippers organization, but the reports don't say who.

The exact reason on the altercation or who was the aggressor is still to be determined.

This is not the first time Coach Del Negro has go into it with another member of the Front Office.

NLSC Contest #1 - Clipper Connection

Postby KidJustin on Thu Sep 23, 2010 12:54 am

Image

Welcome to the first NLSC Contest of the season! Since it's the first one I will start this one off easy so everyone (even a late comer) can get some SSD Points

Contest: #1
Other than the dynasty created coaching staff and myself, which member of the Clippers Front Office/Coaching Staff had no direct connection to the Clippers Organization (in real life) prior to this dynasty?

Contest type: Trivia
Rewards: Winner(s) will receive 5 SSD Points
Length of Contest: Unlimited
Rules: Agents must post their answer to the contest on this thread only to be accepted. Once the Agent makes their submission, it is final unless I (KidJustin) allows otherwise.
Hint: Found on Page 1.

Notes: Since there are still available draft slots, more members can still sign up and they will still be eligible for this contest. If additional members register after any contest have already been completed, they forfeit any SSD Points they could have earned from the past contest(s).

Good luck!

Image

Contest: #2
Which member of the Clippers Organization (Player, Coaching Staff, Front Office, etc.) will soon no longer be a member of the team/organization?

Contest type: Prediction
Rewards: Winner(s) will receive 8 SSD Points Partial points might be given for this contest.
Length of Contest: Contest will end when the official answer is revealed in a News Article post, the Results will also be posted in the same post.
Rules: Agents must post their answer to the contest on this thread only to be accepted. Once the Agent makes their submission, it is final unless I (KidJustin) allows otherwise.
:new: Also, Agents must state their reasoning on why they picked that person. Partial points will be given to those with good/believable reasons, even if the person they picked is wrong. Stating clues can help.
Hint: Found on Minnesota Game Recap.

Notes: Since there are still available draft slots, more members can still sign up and they will still be eligible for this contest. If additional members register after any contest have already been completed, they forfeit any SSD Points they could have earned from the past contest(s).

Tonight was ABA night as both teams wore the uniforms from the ABA days, the San Diego Sails vs the Indiana Pacers!

The team was physically and emotionally drained after, what should not have been, a close game in Minnesota last night, but thanks to sheer heart and determination from Blake Griffin, he kept the Clippers on track early against the Eastern Conference's top team. Coach Vinny Del Negro went very early in the substitution patterns to keep his starters fresh, but he kept Griffin in the longest because Griffin said he wanted to stay in the game. He was consistent early on, something very remarkable for a rookie experiencing tough back-to-backs while facing a grueling 82-game schedule for the first time.

The fatigue bug did hit Kevin Durant, however, as he struggled to score in the first quarter. The first time this season he did not record a point in a quarter he played in. He was active however, dishing out 3 assists and serving up 2 blocks. On his 7th shot attempt, he finally got an easy dunk. But by that time, Griffin and Gordon were handling things just fine and he did not need to score.

Coming out of halftime, the Clippers really showed their dominance extending their lead to as much as 20 points. The game got so bad that, due to fatigue issues, rookies Marqus Blakely and Willie Warren got onto the floor by the 3rd quarter and played significant minutes in the fourth. Granger and Collison lead some small runs to keep the scores respectable, but in the end, despite holding superstar Kevin Durant to only 3 points, the duo of Griffin and Gordon was more than enough to hand the Pacers only their second loss of the season. Gordon set a franchise record hitting 9 3 pointers on 15 attempts, in his hometown none the less.

Eric Gordon ties the record with this 3 pointer...

...and then breaks it with this one! 9th 3 pointer of the game!

Will the Pacers be able to bounce back after two straight losses?
