KidJustin, Hmmmmm. Better trade him to a team that he has someone to help him win and a team that needs a Point Guard

John Wall unhappy in Nation's Capital
Image

John Wall's agent Dan Fegan is reporting that his client is not happy in Washington as they have chose not to start him over Gilbert Arenas and newly undrafted rookie (from last years draft) Dionte Christmas. Fegan reports that Wall was an early favorite to content for the ROY against Blake Griffin as well as help turn the Wizard's franchise around. But there seems to be a power struggle in the backcourt, which Arenas seems to have won.
Image

From the very first game, Arenas was the one that spoiled Wall's debut with a return/debut preformace game of his own. The Wizards are currently sitting at .500 and seem to be fully invested in Arenas to lead the team, probably to make him earn the money he is owned in his contract.

Fegan has said the Wall's short list of possible trade suitors that he would like the Wizards to explore include: Lakers, Grizzlies, Heat, and Sixers.

It is not known what exactly the Wizards would want in return. They don't necessarily need Wall, but it is too tough to just easily give up a number 1 overall pick.

Then again...this same franchise drafted Kwame Brown with a number 1 overall pick.

Rookie Rankings - Nov. 16

GP/GSPPGMPGFG%3P%FT%ORPGDRPGRPGBPGSPGAPGTeam Record
Blake GriffinLAC11/1124.235.9.678-.4743.57.010.51.181.732.611-0
Current Rank: 1 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 1 (2009)
Averaging the most points of all the rookies, dominating force inside, he is the rookie leader (2nd in the league) in field goal percentage. 2nd in the league in offensive rebounds. Team has the best record. Nothing much else to say, but that he is easy favorite for ROY.
Greg MonroeDET12/1210.434.8.4591.00.7101.98.610.51.750.333.38-4
Current Rank: 2 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 7
Detroit wasn't expected to do much, but this young man has helped give this team a winning record by averaging a double-double in points and rebounds.
Hassan WhitesideSAC6/56.031.7.410-.4442.09.311.31.001.833.03-6
Current Rank: 3 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 33
The expected lottery pick that fell to the second round is really proving all of the doubters wrong. He is currently the rookie leader in rebounds and comes second in assists and steals. He has earned himself a starting position in Sacramento.
Wesley JohnsonMIN8/819.435.3.411.378.9070.62.83.41.001.132.02-10
Current Rank: 4 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 4
After an early injury, he has shown to be a solid scorer for the struggling T'wolves. Not much you can do, but he is putting up some great stats for his rookie season.
Derrick FavorsNJN10/1010.037.1.512-.5452.08.610.61.000.801.74-6
Current Rank: 5 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 3
Averaging a double-double in points and rebounds and is playing the most minutes of any rookie, but it is still not enough to turn around this Nets franchise.
Evan TurnerPHI7/718.636.3.490.367.9051.02.43.41.291.861.75-7
Current Rank: 6 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 2
An early injury has kept the #2 overall pick from the floor, but when he is playing for the Sixers, they are giving him the minutes. His long frame has helped him be the leader in steals between all the rookies.
John WallWAS10/812.828.6.402.333.8790.72.12.80.501.102.75-5
Current Rank: 7 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 1
Hasn't really shown up much this season, but mainly because he was being overshadowed by Gilbert Arenas. He also recently loss his starting position.
DeMarcus CousinsSAC9/46.823.3.443-.8751.25.06.21.780.892.23-6
Current Rank: 8 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 5
The team favored a second round rookie and an overpaid veteran to start in the front court over Cousins, but he has still showing off his potential as he is the rookie leader in blocks. In time and if his maturity develops, he will be a very dominating force inside for years to come.
Al-Farouq AminuLAC11/06.926.1.500.333.2000.82.73.50.821.821.711-0
Current Rank: 9 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 8
Showing that he can do the little things coming off the bench. Before the team acquired Kevin Durant, they trusted Aminu at the SF position more than then starter Ryan Gomes. Has shown to be a very capable defender in this league. Coach Del Negro says that Aminu will still have a solid position in the rotation despite the addition of Durant. Needs to work on his shot.
Eric BledsoeLAC10/06.418.8.520.417.3330.11.11.2.401.203.011-0
Current Rank: 10 / Previous Rank: -- / Drafted: 18
Proving to be a very valuable backup point guard and a streaking shooter from beyond the arc. 2nd amongst all rookies in assists. Should receive more playing time since the Clippers traded away their main backup guard Randy Foye.

nice fit in LA...D.Fish is old...S.Blake is old....but is Wall the type of PG Phil Jackson likes? he already has a history of not playing rookies...what would LA have to give up? ROY battle in LA?

Miami has chalmers/arroyo as PG....basically nothing. but what does Miami have to give up? and will Wall get the PT he wants with the trio always having the ball?

sixers are very intriguing to me...put together picks #1 and #2 or memphis was a hot team last year...and their weakest link was mike conley (PG)...Mayo+Gasol+Gay+Randolph+Wall ?

KidJustin, Well, for LA, they should not give up D-Fish you never know what he might do. yeah Phil really dont care about rookies but hey. thats john wall youre talking about. he likes to pass the ball and he can create points by him self and set something for his teammate. i'd say LA should give up Blake or theo ratlir, theo is damn old. but he can mentor mcgee if ever theo would go to la.

naaah, nevermind memphis, they suck. he'll never get the chance to expose his self or even put him as captain nothing will happen, just like what happened to mayo and gay, they are great players but they are not that famous. maybe they are but not everyone knows their game. sixers could be. but la is still better. because d-fish could mentor wall, and kobe can mentor wall for shooting how to break your man down and artest can help him improve his defense.

Better to trade him in Memphis.. Since Conley continues to struggle and Memphis needs a good PG and another scorer.. but who would they trade for John Wall? Mike Conley and?

Lakers - Wall will be a strong defender for them, they might likely to give up Bynum, or a bunch of role players (Barnes,Blake,Ebanks)

Memphis - They really need a PG, I wouldn't mind giving up Gasol. Thabeet might bloom in his second year.

Philly - A swap between the #1 and #2 pick. Projected lineup for the 76ers Wall|Iggy|Young|Speights|Hawes

Those three team will be nice. I'm bias about the Lakers though :wink:

well...i was hoping to do a 1-1 trade...since i'm doing it dbf...if i make an unbalanced trade then things get messed up (i've tried it)...so either 1-1 or 2-2 or 3-3

obviously i'll throw draft picks towards washington's way

i'm leaning toward something that will be John Wall+Rasual Butler to philly...that way Turner and Wall will be on the same team (but wont clash positions)...and butler can go to his home town

but not sure what works yet

my personal order would be
philly
la
mem
mia

...but it will all depend on what makes sense

i like that memphis trade idea...but i think Wall makes more money....Wall for Thabeet actually matches $-wise well

i also never thought of just swaping #1 and #2...i was alway thinking together...hm....
Arenas|Turner|Howard|Blatche|McGee not bad

NO! It's better not to trade him in Lakers.. :P If you will going to trade him in Memphis you should do a 2-2 trade (John Wall and a Forward for Mike Conley and Thabeet)

If you want to keep it real, trade Arenas. You don't just trade a talent like Wall. It'd be like Chicago trading Rose.

LA and Memphis suit him the most.

Memphis-They will make a FANTASTIC starting 5!!
Just imagine Wall-Mayo-Gay-Randolf-Gasol(or Thabeet if Gasol is traded) as a line up!
This will be a crazy young line up!

LA-Fisher is old and Lakers will eventually be a championship team again with Wall
Wall-Kobe-Artest-Gasol-Bynum would be the best starting 5 in the league!

And that's why I changed Arenas to SG/PG and let Wall start at the point. Hinrich backs up both of them. :wink:

that's how it have it....

but the cpu still had Arenas take over and bench Wall...

i'll see what i can do to keep them together if a trade for Wall (or Arenas) doesnt make sense...i'll run with the story in the meantime though

which makes more sense:
to Phil
Gilbert Arenas <-> Elton Brand
Gibert Arenas+Rasual Butler <-> Elton Brand+Willie Green
John Wall <-> Evan Turner
John Wall+Kevin Seraphin <-> Marreese Speights+Louis Williams

to LAL
Gilbert Arenas <-> Pau Gasol
Gilbert Arenas+Kevin Seraphin <-> Andrew Bynum+Luke Walton
John Wall+Yi Jianlian <-> Luke Walton+Steve Blake
John Wall+Kirk Hinrich <-> Andrew Bynum+Rookie

to MEM
Gilbert Arenas <-> Zach Randolph
John Wall <-> Hasheem Tahbeet
John Wall+JaVale McGee+Brian Cook <-> Marc Gasol+Tony Allen+Darrell Arthur

and i can't make any trade that makes sense for Miami

keep in mind Arenas is averaging 28.8 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 8.4 APG, 2.4 SPG and Wall's stats are in the rookie rankings above (#7)

also, ATL is doing good at PG. Jeff Teague took over Bibby's job already

other ideas
Gilbert Arenas <-> Vince Carter
Gilbert Arenas <-> Yao Ming
Gilbert Arenas <-> Kenyon Martin
Gilbert Arenas <-> Joe Johnson
