LOL @ calderon?'s face on the black player on the Acclaim intro. doesn't need to be fixed, but funny anyways
Qballer wrote:perhaps in a future release, you could put Pelicans/Grizzlies/Rators players on the Rookies team. and replace secret characters with other pelicans grizzlies and raptors players to allow you to pick one as a "secret player" and then team up with a real teammate. i.e. fill up the rookies team and have Eric Gordon, Zach Randolph, Demar DeRozan, etc. all as possibilities on the right side and then add guys like Anthony Davis as one of the secret players that you can select like Jazzy Jeff to allow you to play as Davis and select Gordon as a teammate.
Qballer wrote:I had a few minor issues with ratings, but it's all minor stuff
it looked like you were all gung-ho on getting 5 players for all the teams at first but then when you got to Utah, you started getting only the more important players in to save time. No Olynyk/Joel Anthony???
Qballer wrote:I managed to play a quarter with Portland vs Dallas, and I gotta say I am very impressed. the core game is the same but with changed names, portraits, and faces. Awesome job! Can't wait to see where you take this.
Maybe when we get an official release, we can hold online tournaments!
zzcoolj21 wrote:oh and my top 3 teams in this so far are:
1.OKC (KD/Russ)
2.Miami (LJ/Wade)
3.Pacers (George/Granger)
I really wish I had the technical know how to add / edit teams, but that's way beyond the scope of my abilities. Would be cool to edit the Nets to be from Brooklyn and Sonics to the Thunder, but even that seems like it's way too complicated for me.
Still hoping this gets picked up by a gaming blog or two haha.

Qballer wrote:A few ratings I noticed. This is all a matter of opinion, but I think you were pretty conservative on giving 9s but I feel that Korver's 3PT should be a 9, Joe Johnson's clutch should be 8 or 9 and James Harden was a bit overrated. His PWR, STL, & DUNK were a bit too high imo. this was all that i could remember off the top of my head. and i think zzcoolj mention Kyrie's dunking as a bit much too.

Andrew wrote:That said, those guys can dunk and Rondo has been known to perform windmills in the open court, so for NBA Jam they could stand to have slightly more generous dunking ratings.

Millertime2325 wrote:Yeah, this is something I'm not sure about.. I kind of want it to feel / play as realistically as possible.. but at the same time, if I cared that much about realism I probably wouldn't be playing NBA Jam..But Q is right, Curry probably shouldn't be doing 17 front flips over Dwight Howard. I'll have to mess around with the dunk ratings this weekend.

. I had no idea each team would have 4-5 selectable players! I was able to play with the Lakers, Pacers, Blazers, Bulls, Knicks and Spurs. Here are a few of my thoughts:
As a Laker fan I would love to see Kaman replaced with Swaggy P or Jodie Meeks.
I think Manu could probably use a different head, the current one is kind of a dirty blond/brown hair color. Maybe Mike D's head? I know that would be a large head on a small body but it seems like you did the same thing for Nash and it works. Personally, I would rather have a head that looks accurate and is big than one that doesn't look accurate a la Scott Skiles bleach blonde hair in the original NBA Jam lol.
I think Robin Lopez could also probably have a different head. From the list you posted, Jason Falcus' looked a little more like his Sideshow Bob fro?
I know you mentioned this was tricky but adding just one headband wearing head would add a lot for players like Melo, LeBron, and DeMarcus Cousins. I'm not Rom hacking expert by any means but I'm fairly certain you can do this with a tile editor? Then again, that may mean you have to attach the rom to it and perhaps break forum rules...?
Lastly, updated jersey colors and logos would be killer but as I said, I'm no expert and I have no idea how complicated that would be.
As it stands now this is still extremely awesome. I've been waiting a LONG time for someone to tackle this and thanks to you I can now play NBA JAM TE with Kobe and Gasol. I'm probably going to play some tomorrow and I'll get into more gameplay centered thoughts...

They don't let you change the player heads, skin colors, or sizes, but I imagine that's nothing a quick hex edit couldn't handle. Might have just found my new project when I'm done with NBA Jam.
